Samporia vs Genoa
Sampdoria’s centre-back Campagnaro scored at both ends as La Samp played out a 1-1 draw in Pescara with goalkeeper Viviano saving a penalty mid-way through the second half to spare his side’s blushes. Genoa were held to a goalless bore draw by lowly Empoli after playing almost an hour with ten men following Lazovic’s double yellow. I am backing a score draw in what will be an exciting derby.

Milan vs Juventus
Milan have been on an excellent run of form in recent weeks, with their latest victory coming in Chievo, which is not an easy ground to visit. Montella should be applauded to instilling so much discipline and passion among the Rossoneri ranks. Juventus once again failed to impress despite their 2-1 win over Udinese on Saturday afternoon. It seems as though Allegri’s side needs more time to settle after a number of transfers last summer. I am sticking my neck out and backing a home win.

Udinese vs Pescara
Udinese came close to snatching a point at Juventus stadium last weekend as Buffon’s heroics late on ensured La Zebrette left empty handed. Pescara failed to secure what would have been just their second win of the season as front man Caprari missed a second half penalty meaning his side had to settle for a point. I reckon Udine will win comfortably.

Atalanta vs Inter
Atalanta were rewarded for their organised rearguard and fighting spirit as they held out for a goalless draw in Florence. Following a historic victory over Juventus a few weeks ago Inter have failed to win since dropping points against Bologna, Roma and most recently Cagliari. Despite dominating for long spells and deservedly scoring half way through the second half Inter fell apart as a brave Cagliari side pushed on to steal all three points. I am backing Inter to hold out for a point.

Cagliari vs Fiorentina
They say luck favors the brave as Cagliari went for broke on Sunday afternoon and left the San Siro as eventual winners. Fiorentina huffed and puffed but couldn’t find a way past a stubborn Atalanta defense to remain in the bottom half of the table on 9 points. Considering La Viola’s recent form and also Europa League commitments I predict a home win for the Sardinians.

Crotone vs Napoli
Crotone’s early goal was not enough to secure even a point as they held out for much of the game only to concede two goals in the last few minutes of the game in Sassuolo. Napoli fans were left fuming after their side were convincingly beaten by Roma at the San Paolo, as Napoli seem to be lacking last season’s quality in their ranks. This i a much win for the visitors.

Empoli vs Chievo
Empoli will be annoyed that they failed to do more considering they played for almost an hour against ten men in Genoa, meaning they remain in 19th place. Despite a good run of form Chievo were brought back down to earth by a better Milan side as they eventually lost 1-3. This will be a close game but I am backing the away side to win this.

Torino vs Lazio
Torino climbed up to fourth in the standings after winning 1-4 in Palermo thanks to a Ljajic double. Lazio’s blushes were spared when front man Immobile scored a last minute penalty to save a point for his side. I predict a close game which will end in a home win.

Bologna vs Sassuolo
Helander’s early goal was not enough for Bologna to win all three points in Lazio as they conceded a late penalty while Sassuolo also left it late to beat bottom side Crotone and get back to winning ways after a poor run of form. I am going for a bore draw.

Roma vs Palermo
Roma were superb as they beat Napoli on their travels in what was yet another important win over one of Italy’s top side after beating Inter a few weeks ago. Palermo continue to struggle as they were soundly beaten in Sicily by a superior Torino side and I predict another defeat for them in Rome.
