Napoli vs Roma
Following a two week International break Serie A is back as two of Italy’s top sides face off at the Sao Paolo and you can expect fireworks! Both sides are desperate to keep up with champions Juventus with Napoli dropping three crucial points at Atalanta two weeks ago. Roma deservedly beat Inter at the Olimpico in what was an exciting end to end encounter. I reckon the home side can win this.

Pescara vs Sampdoria
Pescara continue to struggle as they were soundly beaten at Chievo to remain among the bottom three. Sampdoria fought hard to avoid a home loss to Palermo, as Bruno Hernandes scored in the last minute to salvage a point for his side. I predict a score draw.

Juventus vs Udinese
Juventus made easy work on their travels to Empoli as they scored three second half goals five minutes to maintain their march on the title moving four points above second place Napoli. Udinese were soundly beaten at home by Lazio to remain just a point above the bottom three. Comfortable home win expected.

Fiorentina vs Atalanta
Fiorentina dropped more points after losing to Torino in Turin as La Viola have only won two out of their opening six games. Atalanta pulled off one of the surprise wins of Weekday 7 by beating Napoli at home to move three points clear of the bottom three. I can’t imagine anything but a win for the home side.

Genoa vs Empoli
Genoa were rewarded for their tight defending as they scored late to seal three important points in Bologna, in what was a heated game which ended with three players seeing red. Despite a brave effort Empoli were eventually ground down by a stronger Juventus side conceding three in five minutes. I am backing the home side to win this.

Inter vs Cagliari
Inter were rather lethargic as they lost 2-1 at the Olimpico in a encounter in which they could have done better had they been sharper. As expected Cagliari’s Serie A experience was enough to overthrow a stubborn Crotone side. This is a must win for Frank De Boer’s men.

Lazio vs Bologna
Lazio will be pleased with their season so far as a 0-3 win over Udinese saw the Biancocelesti remained 4th in the standings. Bologna paid the price after defender Gastaldello was shown two yellow cards in the space of a minute late on the the first half giving his side a mighty challenge in the second. Home win expected.

Sassuolo vs Crotone
After going 1-3 after being 1-0 down Sassuolo conceded three goals late on at the San Siro to lose out 4-3 in what was a real thriller. Crotone are the only side left in the Serie A not to win a game yet as they languish at the bottom of the standings with just one point. The home side have a lot of lost ground to make up.

Chievo vs Milan
Chievo continue to impress this season as they beat Pescara on the road to remain 5th in the table on 11 points. Milan’s showed real determination to come back from two goals down to win 4-3 to the delight of their coach Montella and home crowd in what was a thrilling game of football. I reckon the Rossoneri will be happy with a point.

Palermo vs Torino
Palermo’s determination almost paid off as they were minutes away from an important away win in Sampdoria only to have their hopes quashed by a late Fernandes strike. Torino were rewarded for their spirited display as they beat Fiorentina at retain their mid-table position. Palermo will put up a fight in Sicily and I am backing a draw on Monday night.
