Napoli were held to a goalless draw by an organised Genoa squad to concede top spot to Juventus. Chievo did very well to beat an in form Sassuolo at home however I reckon they won’t have enough to hold back the home side.

Torino vs Roma
Considering they played for over half the game with ten men Torino will be grateful for the hard earned point collected in Pescara. Roma completely trashed newcomers Crotone in Rome and I am backing them to collect three points in Turin.

Genoa vs Pescara
Genoa’s determined performance was rewarded with a point at home when Napoli visited on Wednesday evening. Pescara failed to make the most of their numerical advantage as they lacked the bite upfront to grab the vital winning goal. Home win expected.

Inter vs Bologna
Following their moral boasting win over eternal rivals Juventus, an early Icardi double got Inter off to a flying start to seal three important points in Empoli. Bologna recorded their third league win of the season as they comfortably saw off Sampdoria on their home soil. Home win expected.

Despite creating a number of chances Lazio failed to make them count and were punished for their inefficiency in Milan. Empoli were soundly beaten at home by Inter and I doubt they will fare much better against Lazio in Rome.

Sassuolo vs Udinese
Despite a very positive start to their season Sassuolo seemed to have run out of steam as they were beaten by Chievo at the Stadio Bentegodi. Udinese did very well to hold a strong Fiorentina side to a draw in a four goal thriller. I am backing the home side to get back to winning ways.

Fiorentina vs Milan
Fiorentina were left frustrated on Wednesday night as a stubborn Udinese squad allowed them all the possession hitting where it hurts on the break for the game to ed all square. Milan fans will be pleased that their side have now won two on the trot following a solid performance over Lazio at the San Siro. I am backing La Viola to win this exciting encounter.

Crotone vs Atalanta
Crotone are letting goals in by the bucket loads as the Serie A newcomers struggle to come to terms with top flight football, their latest pummelling coming at the Olimpico. Atalanta will be kicking themselves for not standing strong and conceding a last minute goal against fellow relegation candidates Palermo to fall to penultimate place in the Serie A standings.

Cagliari vs Sampdoria
Cagliari stood little chance when they faced an angry Juventus in Turin. La Samp have only won two games this season and their lackluster performance on Wednesday proves just how poor they have been. A point separates these two sides at the lower half of the standings and I am putting my money on a draw.
