Empoli vs Cagliari
Empoli held out for a draw in Bologna on Sunday afternoon as they kept their noses just above the bottom three while Cagliari were pummelled 0-5 by a far superior Napoli side in Sardinia. Considering both sides have struggled so much this season I reckon a bore draw is on the cards.

Milan vs Atalanta
Milan will count themselves unlucky for losing out in Rome on Monday night after their in form front man Niang missed a first half penalty and the Rossoneri eventually lost out 1-0 at the Olimpico. After a superb run of form including a seven game winning streak Atalanta how now lost two on the trot, including a surprise home loss to a struggling Udinese side. I am backing the home side to win this.

Juventus vs Roma
Juventus’s determination gifted them with an invaluable 1-3 over local rivals Torino following a late double from Higuain and Pjanic as the Old Lady maintain their march towards their sixth consecutive Scudetto. A second half Nainggolan strike gifted Roma with a slim 1-0 win over Milan to move clear into second place. I expect a hotly contesting game at the Juventus Stadium and the home side should just pip this.

Sassuolo vs Inter
Despite a dismal performance Inter won 2-0 at the San Siro against Genoa in what was a much needed moral boasting win. Sassuolo fought hard in Florence however lacked the quality to really challenge Fiorentina and left empty handed. I believe the home side will do just enough to frustrate the visitors and hold out for a draw.

Chievo vs Sampdoria
Chievo did extremely well to beat a stubborn Palermo side in Sicily and move up to tenth in the standings while Sampdoria were beaten 1-2 by Lazio despite having the lion’s share of possession. These sides sit on equal points so this is a hard one to call, however I am sticking my neck out and backing a home win.

Pescara vs Bologna
Pescara lost out in the relegation ‘six-pointer’ over Crotone in what was a heated affair with numerous yellow cards and one man from each side receiving a second yellow. Bologna were frustrated by a stubborn Empoli side and failed to create any real chances as the game ended 0-0. I reckon the home side have just enough to hold out for a draw.

Napoli vs Torino
Napoli seem to be in for a good run of form after scoring eight goals in their last two Serie A games and conceding none as they look to make up for lost ground over league leaders Juve. Torino lost out in the Turin derby and I am reckon they will lose again on their journey down South this Sunday afternoon.

Udinese vs Crotone
Udinese will be delighted with their hard fought 1-3 win over an in form Atalanta side while Crotone will be equally pleased after winning just their second game of the season over fellow relegation favourites Pescara to move just two points from safety. I predict the home sides’ Serie A experience will be enough to see them through.

Genoa vs Palermo
Genoa were punished for failing to make the most of some clear cut chances at the San Siro and were punished for their wastefulness. Palermo’s disastrous season continued as they lost to Chievo to drop to the bottom of the Serie A table. I am backing the home side to bounce back.

Lazio vs Fiorentina
Lazio got back to winning ways in an important away win over Sampdoria while Fiorentina made it two wins in a row after beating Sassuolo at home thanks to a Kalinic double. I predict an extremely entertaining affair in Rome and am backing a home win.
