Ljajic once again grabbed a crucial goal for his side as they were trailing on their travels in Udine before the front man’s goal earned Torino an important away point. Cagliari were the better side in the battle of the islanders as they beat Palermo 2-1 to move to 9th in the standings. Home win expected.

Napoli vs Lazio
Napoli were once again second best last weekend as they were beaten at the Juventus Stadium by the reigning champions. Lazio were pushed all the way by a determined Sassuolo side eventually coming out 2-1 winners meaning the Biancocelesti now sit in 4th place. I predict a close game but reckon the home side have enough to win this.

Pescara vs Empoli
Pescara fought toe-to-toe with giants Milan at the San Siro and will feel hard done by the result as they pushed a lackluster Milan side all the way, however still lost out. Empoli’s determination was paid off when they held Roma at home to earn a vital point. These sides sit on equal points in the standings that is why I am backing a score draw .

Chievo vs Juventus
Chievo’s impressive start to their season seems to be running out of momentum as they were comfortably beaten by Crotone as they slowly slide down the table. Juventus moved four points clear at the top after beating Scudetto challengers Napoli in front of their home fans, with Higuain grabbing the all important winner against his former side. Despite their mid-week Champions League commitments, I am backing Allegri’s men to win this.

Genoa’s inconsistent season continued as they were pummeled 3-0 in Atalanta to remain in a mid-table position. Udinese were held at home by Torino and considering just one point separates these two sides I am backing a score draw.

Palermo vs Milan
Palermo’s dire season continued as they were comfortably beaten in Sardinia by a strong Cagliari side while Milan got back to winning ways thanks to a Bonaventura goal early on in the second half to spare his side’s blushes. Palermo are bound to put up a fight but I reckon Montella’s side can win this.

Sassuolo vs Atalanta
Sassuolo have struggled to settle so far this season and this could be down to their Europa League commitments which are stretching the limited squad which is at the disposal of Di Francesco. Atalanta will be delighted with their campaign so far, especially considering their recent near misses with relegation over the past few years. I expect a closely fought game which will end all square.

Fiorentina vs Sampdoria
Fiorentina got back to winning ways by downing a ten man Bologna side thanks to a first half Kalinic penalty. La Samp rode their luck and managed to keep a toothless Inter at bay to win after grabbing the lone goal late on in the first half. I predict a home win despite Fiorentina’s Europa League commitments on Thursday evening.

Inter vs Crotone
Inter really seemed to have hit rock bottom with the loss away to Sampdoria proving to be the final straw for Frank De Boer, who was sacked just two months into his tenure at the San Siro. Crotone recorded their first win of the season over Chievo and will be hoping to snatch atleast a point at the San Siro against this Inter side which is frankly in shambles.

Roma will be kicking themselves after being held to a goal less draw at Empoli while the odds were stacked against Bologna as they played for over an hour with ten men after veteran defender Gastaldello saw red. I am backing the home side to win this.
