Genoa vs Milan
Genoa lost out against local rivals Sampdoria in what was a fiery derby between the two Ligurian sides. As predicted Milan beat arch rivals Juventus 1-0 at the San Siro in what was a thrilling game of football to climb up to third in the standings, with young midfield Locatelli scoring a real beauty to secure the points for his side. I reckon Montella’s men can win this important game on Tuesday night.

Chievo vs Bologna
Chievo played out a boring 0-0 draw in Empoli to remain among the top half of the table while Bologna were minutes away from an important win over Sassuolo before front man Matri scored late to end the game in a 1-1 draw. I predict a close game which will end in a home win.

Fiorentina vs Crotone
After going behind early on against Cagliari, Fiorentina came back with a bang scoring five straight goals to win out in an eight goal thriller and leave Sardinia with three important points. Crotone failed to make the most of their numerical advantage as Napoli played for almost an hour with ten men. The Serie A newcomers have yet to win a game and I doubt they will have any luck in Florence.

Inter vs Torino
Inter’s doom and gloom continued as they lost on their travels to Atalanta as they continue to struggle in what was an extremely lackluster performance. Torino are showing real fighting spirit this season and were rewarded with a late penalty to hold Lazio out for a draw and remain 5th in the Serie A standings. This is a must win for the home side.

Juventus vs Sampdoria
Juventus have a lot to complain about after being denied an early opening goal and eventually losing to Milan at the San Siro, as the reigning champions failed to create many opportunities upfront, especially after star front man Dybala went of injured half way through the first half. Sampdoria were definitely the better side as they downed local rivals Genoa to the delight of the home crowd. I predict Juve will bounce back with a vengeance.

Lazio vs Cagliari
Lazio were moments away from an impressive win in Turin only to be denied by a late penalty. The Biancocelesti will be pleased with their season to date as they sit 6th in the standings as they aim for European football next season. Despite taking an early lead Cagliari conceded five consecutive goals to lose out to a stronger Fiorentina side in front of their home crowd. I predict a home win.

Pescara vs Atalanta
Pescara continue to struggle among the big boys as they lost to Udinese on Sunday afternoon to remain just one point above the bottom three. Atalanta were by far the more motivated side and their determination was rewarded with a late penalty which was enough for them to beat a poor Inter side 2-1. I reckon this will be a close game which will end in a draw.

Napoli’s Serie a experience shone through on Sunday afternoon as Sarri’s side stayed in control even after front man Gabbiadini saw red after just 30 minutes into the game. The Neopolitan’s win means they are just four points off the top of the table and they should have little trouble seeing off this weak Empoli side.

Once again Saassuolo were rewarded for their determined play as veteran front man Matri scored late on to secure a point for his side. Roma were superb as they downed a struggling Palermo side 4-1 at the Olimpico on Sunday night to move two points behind league leaders Juve. I predict a close game which the visitors should win.

Languishing among the bottom three Palermo continue to struggle as they were second best in Rome on Sunday night. A Thereau double helped Udinese past a poor Pescara side as they moved four points clear of the relegation zone. I predict a close game on Thursday evening which will end in a draw.
