Torino vs Pescara
Week 2 of Serie A fixtures kicks off with two newly promoted teams facing each other. While Torino battled hard to grab an important point in Siena, Pescara, although performing well in front of their enthusiastic home crowd, succumbed to a 0-3 defeat to Inter. Both teams will see this game as an important match in order to avoiding relegation come May, however Torino should pip this considering that the Delfini have still not replaced the likes of Verratti and Immobile.
Prediction – 2-1

Bologna vs AC Milan
Bologna were defeated 2-0 away to Chievo in their opening fixture and will really need to pull up their socks if they are to stand any chance of remaining in the Serie A next season. Milan suffered a shock defeat to newly promoted Sampdoria, which should set alarm bells ringing within the Rossoneri heirarchy, who are now probably too late to replace the likes of Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva, and will have to wait until January, when their title contentions may already be over. This will be a hard fought game and I predict Bologna will snatch a point.
Prediction – 1-1

Udinese vs Juventus
Reigning champions Juve travel to Udinese for the first match on Sunday afternoon, a club they raided during the summer, signing the likes of Isla and Asamoah to bolster their ranks. Udinese started their campaign with a 2-1 away loss to Fiorentina and will want to improve on this. Juventus started their coachless season well, with a controversial 2-0 home win against a stubborn Parma side and I think the Old Lady will not have enough to grab all three points in this tough away encounter and the game will end in a score draw.
Prediction – 2-2

Cagliari vs Atalanta
Cagliari were poor as they struggled in their 2-0 away defeat to Genoa, while Atalanta were unlucky not to have grabbed a point at home to Lazio. This game can go either way, with both teams looking to avoid conceding any soft goals and will most likely play defensive football, therefore this game will most likely end in draw.
Prediction 1-1

Catania vs Genoa
Catania proved to be no pushovers as they stunned the packed Olimpico in Rome, taking the lead on two occasions and holding on to leave with a point. Genoa have assembled an exciting attacking front line with Immobile and Jankovic, and would be pleased with their comfortable home win in Week 1. This is another game in which both teams will play simple, yet conservative football as both teams look to grab atleast a point, however Catania should edge this in front of their home crowd.
Prediction 2-1

Inter vs Roma
Inter got their campaign off to a flyer as they brushed newly promoted Pescara aside in a 0-3 win. Roma on the other hand had to come from behind twice and have still not found their shape under new coach Zdenek Zeman. I predict that Inter’s fast and dynamic attacking front line will be too much for Roma’s shaky defence and will win this in front of their home crowd.
Prediction 3-1

Lazio vs Palermo
Lazio pulled off a difficult away win agaisnt Atalanta, thanks to a goal from brazilian star Hernanes, while Palermo were humiliated at home in the Derby del Sud agaisnt Napoli. There can only be one winner in this fixture as Lazio will overpower the Sicilians.
Prediction 3-1

Napoli vs Fiorentina
Napoli stormed to an impressive away win in Sicily on Sunday, while Fiorentina snatched all three points in their encounter agaisnt Udinese thanks to a late strike by the impressive Jovetic, who I predict will propel himself to a superstar status this season. Mazzarri’s men will pull all the stops and show their title credentials with an impressive home win, despite La Viola’s best efforts.
Prediction 4-1

Parma vs Chievo
Parma were given a tough opening match agaisnt reigning champions Juventus in Torino and put up quite a fight, while Chievo won comfortably agaisnt fellow minnows Bologna at home. Parma will see this as a chance to bounce back, while Chievo definately won’t go down without a fight and will count on the ever-young Pellissier to grab a point.
Prediction 1-1

Sampdoria vs Siena
Sampdoria pulled off the suprise of the season so far with a win over Milan in their own back yards, while Siena were disappointing as they were held at home by newly promoted Torino. Fresh from their unexpected victory at the San Siro, Sampdoria will see this as a chance to win three points agaisnt fellow relegation contenders Siena.
Prediction 2-1
