Roma Vs Napoli
Serie A football returns following the international break with Italy’s most in form teams battling it out at the Olimpico. Roma maintained their 100% start of the season with an impressive, if slightly fortuitous win over Inter, in their last Serie A outing, at the San Siro. Napoli were comfortable 4-0 winners against Livorno last weekend as they travel to Rome with the intention of securing a point in order to peg back the high flying Romans. Exciting score draw predicted.

Cagliari Vs Catania
Cagliari were easily dismissed in Gamesweek 7 when they travelled to Udinese and left empty handed, while Catania continue to struggle as they were held in Sicily by a late Legrottaglie goal. Both sides have been far from impressive this season as they both sit just a handful of points above the drop zone. Home win expected in this battle of the islanders.

Milan Vs Udinese
Milan were downed by reigning champions Juventus a couple of week ago as their slump continues as pressure mounts on coach Allegri. The tactician will take some respite when star man Balotelli returns from suspension. Udinese inconsistent start continues as they won at home to Cagliari, however, seeing that they have yet to pick up a single point on their travels, I am backing the Rossoneri at the San Siro.

Atalanta Vs Lazio
Atalanta will be delighted with their first away win of the season when they visited Chievo while Lazio were held on their home soil against a stubborn Fiorentina side in what turned out a be a bore-draw between two exhausted sides. I predict another draw is on the cards.

Fiorentina Vs Juventus
Fiorentina were poor on their recent trip to Rome, when they did not even have a single shot on target, as the continuous domestic and European fixtures take it’s toll on their limited squad. Juventus produced a dominant display to see off Milan at the Juventus stadium and I predict that they will have enough to defeat La Viola on their home soil.

Genoa Vs Chievo
Genoa’s pressure paid off when they secured a late draw on their travels to Catania. They are playing better football this season, as they look to avoid a late relegation scrap, as they faced last season. Chievo are a shadow of their former selves as they struggle to find the positive form that saw them finish comfortably in 12th last season. With Chievo’s attacking line misfiring I am backing a home win.

Verona Vs Parma
Newcomers Verona have had a flying start to their campaign as they sit among the big boys in 5th position following a series of impressive results. Parma have not had a bad start themselves as they look to add further distance from the foot of the table. Veteran striker Luca Toni has already hit the net four times and I reckon he will find the net again in a home victory!

Livorno Vs Sampdoria
Livorno fans will be cautiously optimistic that their team will survive atleast another season of top flight football following their good start to the season. Sampdoria sit in 18th place with just three points in seven matches as their set of supporters will be demanding a major improvement unless they are going to avoid a late relegation scrap come May. Considering both team’s form, I’m going for a home victory here.

Sassuolo Vs Bologna
Both these sides find themselves in all sorts of trouble as they sit in 20th and 19th place respectively. With the home side already favorites to go straight down to Serie B, Bologna really need to pull up their socks unless they are going to experience the same faith. Coach Pioli will be relying on all the experience of Diamanti and Gilardino to gather the troops and start the tough climb up the table.

Torino Vs Inter
Torino sit in 9th place and can be thankful to starman Cerci for his fantastic contribution so far this season. The talented winger was deservedly called up with the national side and he will want to continue his positive form by downing the stumbling Nerazzuri side. Inter, who until just a few weeks ago were playing fantastic football, are desperate for the return of experienced defender Campagnaro as they look to bounce back.
