Empoli will be pleased with their spirited comeback against fellow relegation candidates Cesena, as they picked up a valuable point when the game seemed all but lost. Milan also put on a determined display but were outclassed by a superior Juventus side at the San Siro and were downed by a lone Tevez second half strike. Inzaghi will take a lot of positives from his side’s performance and I am sure they will be back to winning ways on Tuesday evening.

Cagliari Vs Torino
As expected Cagliari were comfortably beaten at the Olimpico by a superior Roma side. The Sardinians have collected just a point in their opening three fixtures and will be desperate to beat this struggling Torino side, who were defeated at home by Verona as their poor start continued. Il Toro have struggled so far and the alarm bells will soon be ringing unless they start picking up points fast.

Fiorentina Vs Sassuolo
Following their 7-0 thumping by Inter in Week 2, Sassuolo fought hard to keep a tough Sampdoria side at bay to collect a valuable point. Fiorentina won their first game of the season in what was tough visit to Atalanta. Home win expected.

Verona Vs Genoa
Verona put on a solid display to beat Torino in Turin to climb up to 3rd in the standings with 7 points in three matches. Mandorlini will be wary of this tough Genoa side, however will be confident his side can pull off a win. Genoa carried out the perfect snatch and grab affair over a more dominant Lazio team. The Ligurian side scored two minutes after Lazio were reduced to ten men after struggling to create chances for most of the match and win the game in the dieing moments.

Inter were held on their travels to Sicily on Sunday night after a Vidic error in the opening minutes proved costly as the Nerazzurri struggled to create chances and had to settle for a draw. Atalanta were second best as they were beaten at home by a stronger Fiorentina side. I am backing Inter to win this.

Juventus have passed both their early season tests with a win over Malmo in their opening Champions League group game and a confident win at the San Siro over arch rivals Milan. The Juve fateful will be cautiously pleased with their sides start to the campaign under the guidance of new coach Allegri. Cesena let a two goal advantage slip in what would have been a crucial win for the Serie A newcomers. Easy home win expected.

After losing their first two games Parma finally won their first points of the season in a 5 goal thriller on their travels to Chievo. Donadoni could not have asked for a tougher opponent following their first win when a confident Roma side visit the Tardini stadium. Roma will be vying for challenge Juventus for the Scudetto this season after falling short last season. Expect a closely fought encounter but I back the Romans to pip this.

Napoli’s season has gone from bad to worse as they were beaten on their travels to Udinese as the pressure continues to mount of Benitez. The Partnepoi host their Southern rivals who are fresh from a home draw against Inter. The Sicilians put on a tireless display to ground out the result and will need to show similar determination if they are to return home with a point. I am backing Napoli to bounce back.
