Catania Vs Roma
Catania were demolished on their travels up north to Verona in the early Sunday afternoon fixture to remain rooted to the bottom of the standings with now almost no hope of survival. Roma were once again solid to down a poor Milan side at the Olimpico to secure a second place finish after third place Napoli could only draw at the San Siro. The team from the Capital have had a brilliant season but will look back at their few slips ups this season, against teams in the bottom half of the table, which have arguably cost them the title. Away win expected.

Chievo Vs Torino
Despite taking the lead against a Sampdoria side who were reduced to ten men moments before, Chievo were still unable to secure any points and remain two points above the drop zone. The Gialloblu will really have to be fully alert when this Torino side, with one of the most lethal front lines in Italy make the short journey East. Il Toro have discovered a deadly duo in Immobile and Cerci who have scored 35 goals this season between them in all competitions. With the visitors fighting for a Europa League spot neither side can afford to lose this game, however I reckon Torino have enough to win.

Genoa Vs Bologna
As predicted Genoa fought hard and returned from Atalanta with a well deserved point after playing almost all of the second half with ten men. The side from Italy’s North-Western coast have been safe from relegation for several weeks now, however have maintained their competitive edge and will be pleased with their mid-table finish following a number of seasons of late relegation scraps. Bologna find themselves in all sorts of trouble after being comfortably beaten by Fiorentina on their home soil and remain in in 18th place, albeit on goal difference. I predict a home win.

Parma Vs Sampdoria
Parma’s poor recent form continued as their Europa League hopes disappear following just one win in their last eight fixtures and have now dropped to 9th in the Serie A standings. Sampdoria showed real character to pull off a late comeback and beat Chievo at home after playing over 30 minutes with ten men. Neither side is showing the same form of previous months and I reckon Parma should win this.

Udinese Vs Livorno
Both these sides lost in Gamesweek 35 and neither side will be pleased with the season they are having. Even though Udinese are safe from relegation, they will be finishing among the bottom half of the table following a number of years challenging for European football, while Livorno, promoted just 11 months ago, are very likely to return so Serie B next season after failing to compete in the top flight. Home win expected which will all but seal the visitors fate.

Milan Vs Inter
Sunday evening sees a clash between two of Italy’s former heavyweights as the two clubs from Milan battle it out, if for nothing else, summer bragging rights. With Inter all but sure of Europa League football next season, Milan need to win as many points as possible in these final three weeks to stand any chance. Considering the Rossoneri have been pretty poor in recent weeks, while Mazzarri’s side have shown signs of improvement, I am backing the Nerazzuri to do the double over their eternal rivals.

Lazio Vs Verona
Both these sides have 52 points to their name and have had inconsistent seasons, with Lazio showing a vast improvement following the arrival of Reja half way through the season and Verona, who after a first few months in Serie A have stuttered since the beginning of 2014 to slip down the table. Expect an exciting encounter which I predict will end in a home victory.

Juventus Vs Atalanta
Juventus were knocked out of the Europa League semi-finals last night, at the Juventus stadium, following a goal less draw against Benfica. It was one of the few times this season the Serie A champions failed to score on their home soil. Despite this set-back, you can undoubtedly expect the mood in Turin to be ecstatic, as a win on Monday night will confirm Conte’s sides third successive Scudetto. Even though Atalanta are a tough nut to crack on their day, I predict they will return home empty handed.

Fiorentina Vs Sassuolo
Fiorentina were superb as they swept past a hapless Bologna side and are now just a few points away from securing 4th place in what has been a fantastic season for Montella’s side. Despite taking an early lead Sassuolo were unable to hold off a rampant Juventus side as they remain in 16th place, only safe from the drop due to goal difference. Easy home win expected for the Tuscan side.

Napoli Vs Cagliari
Benitez has not had the best of returns to Serie A after his Napoli side struggled to challenge Juventus for the Scudetto and got knocked out of the group stages of the Champions League. The Partenopei will atleast finish 3rd this season so they can look forward to another shot of top flight European football next season. Despite very limited resources Cagliari have shown real grit this season and will be delighted to have avoided the relegation scrap. Home win expected.
