Udinese Vs Bologna
Udinese have been fantastic this season considering the number of changes made over the summer and they are now just a few points away from Europa league football next season. Bologna have been plagued by inconsistency this year, however are 10 points above the drop zone and have at least secured Serie A football for another term. This game will be close but I am going for a home win.

Lazio Vs Catania
Lazio’s next season Champions League hopes have all but disappeared following an extremely poor two months, in which they have only won a single league fixture since the end of January. Catania on theĀ other handĀ can thank their grit and consistency for their superb 8th league position, just two points adrift off the likes of Inter and Roma. With the International break giving both teams sometime to take a breather I reckon we are in for an exciting score draw.

Cagliari VsĀ Fiorentina
Cagliari all but secured top flight football next season with an important point away to Siena and are one of six teams sitting on 35 points in the standings. La Viola, while not perfect are also having a fantastic season as they sit in 4th position, just three points off the all important 3rd Champions League slot. With Fiorentina so close to concluding a remarkable season I am backing them to leave Sardinia with a win.

Inter VsĀ Juventus
Week 30’s most prolific Serie A fixture has got to be this mouth watering contest between eternal rivals Inter and Juventus in the Derby D’Italia. With Juventus so close to defending their title you can be sure that they will pull all the stops to leave the San Siro with a win and the bragging rights to maintain their healthy 9 point advantage over second place Napoli. The Nerazzuri have not been great this season but at least have managed to see off their bitter rivals Juventus and Milan and famously ended La Juve’s undefeated league run at their new stadium last November.

Parma VsĀ Pescara
Parma can thank their superb home form for ensuring that they will not get involved in a relegation battle and are another team sitting on 35 points. Pescara are not as fortunate as they remain rooted to the bottom of the standings and are probably firm favorites to be the first team to return to the lower division.Ā

Palermo Vs Roma
Palermo fans must be wondering how their team have dropped so low in such a short time. Just a few seasons ago they were formidable at home and even on their travels managed to snatch points off the ‘big boys’ however they now find themselves joint bottom, with slim chances of staying in the top flight. A rejuvenated Roma side will make the most of thisĀ opportunityĀ to hold on to their 5th place to ensure Europa League football next term.

Atalanta VsĀ Sampdoria
Just a couple of points divides these two teams who have been far fromĀ spectacularĀ this season however both seem to have done enough to maintain their Serie A status. The home side have relied heavily on captain Denis’ scoring prowess to distance themselves from the bottom three, while la Samp have relied on their new manager Delio Rossi to stear them to safety. Close match which I predict will end in a draw.

After months of poor form and a busy January transfer window, Genoa finally managed to limp out of the drop zone and are just a point above Siena, who would be in a much safer situation had they not started theirĀ campaignĀ with a points deduction. This is probably the most important fixture for both these teams who have now been in the top flight for a number of years.Ā

Chievo Vs Milan
Chievo have once again proved that even though they represent a population of just 2,800 people in a suburb of Verona, with the right management and wise spending, they can compete with much larger clubs and can now look forward to another season of Serie A football following their maiden promotion back in 2001. Milan have perhaps been one of theĀ surpriseĀ packages this campaign and theyĀ willĀ rue their poor start which potentially cost them the title, since, had the league started in Week 8 they will be well above all other challengers. Milan must ensure that they do not stumble and leave Verona with maximum points.

Torino Vs Napoli
Torino did well to see off a poor Lazio side in Week 29 while Napoli also left it late to secure all three points and remain second place in the standings, even if their hopes for Serie A glory have all but faded. The two week break would have done the Partenopei no good and I think the pressure will be too much for them and coach Mazzarri who will most likely be sacked this summer.
