Cesena Vs Empoli
Following Cesena’s encouraging start to their Serie A campaign, when they beat Parma at home, they were quickly cut down to size when they conceded three unanswered goals at the Olimpico. Empoli site bottom of the table with 0 points and will be desperate to snatch atleast a point against fellow Serie A newcomers. This will be a close encounter, however I reckon the home side have enough to win this.

Milan Vs Juventus
Milan are looking considerably stronger this term following their convincing win in an nine goal thriller at the Tardini, when they beat Parma 4-5 to secure their second win on the trot. Coach Inzaghi has really inspired his men who are playing with a lot of confidence. The former star striker faces his first real managerial test on Saturday night when Juventues visit the San Siro. Even though it’s still early days for Allegri at the helm, Juve fans will be pleased with their side’s good start and important home win over Udinese. They now face a tough couple of weeks due to their Champions League commitments, which will really test the Old Lady’s mettle. Despite Juve’s stronger line-up I expect a thrilling score draw, in a game which have plenty of drama.

Chievo Vs Parma
Chievo will be delighted with their snatch and grab win at the San Paolo and will be grateful to the goalkeeping heroics of youngster Bardi who made a handful of critical saves, including a superb save to deny Higuain from the penalty spot. Parma’s slow start continued as they were beaten by Milan in a nine goal thriller. The alarm bells will not be ringing just yet at the Tardini stadium, however they need to collect atleast a point on their travels to Chievo in order stave off an early season crisis. Bore draw expected.

Genoa Vs Lazio
Genoa will be pleased to have kept a much more dominant Fiorentina side at bay to earn their first point of the season. The Ligurian side must be on their guard when this tough Lazio size make the journey north fresh from a convincing 3-0 home win over Cesena. Expect a closely fought match which I predict will end in a score draw.

Roma Vs Cagliari
Roma showed real grit to break down a stubborn Empoli side and maintain their 100% record so far this season. Cagliari have had a pretty poor start to their season and failed to take their chances as they lost at home to Atalanta. The Sardinians really must grab the bull by the horns in order to avoid a relegation scrap come May, however will be very lucky to leave Rome with anything.

Sassuolo Vs Sampdoria
Sassuolo were run ragged at the San Siro by a far stronger Inter side as they were demolished 7-0. Di Francesco’s men were defeated by the same score line last year and only maintained their Serie A status thanks to a late miracle, after spending most of the season at the bottom of the standings. Sampdoria were solid as they beat a toothless Torino side 2-0 and following their good start to the season coach Mihajlovic will be convinced his men have enough to win this.

Atalanta Vs Fiorentina
Atalanta fought for their lives and won when they beat Cagliari in Sardinia in what was a snatch and grab affair. The Nerazzuri have no collected 4 points in two games in what has been a good start for them. Fiorentina will be disappointed following their scoreless home draw to Genoa and Montella will need to use all his experience to pick up his men ahead of this tough trip to the Bergamo. I predict a close encounter which will end in a score draw.

Udinese Vs Napoli
Following their opening day win over Empoli, Udinese were comfortably beaten at the Juventus stadium despite a good defensive display. Young coach Stramaccioni has a tough job on his hands if he is to repeat the success of tactician Guidolin who stepped down at the end of last season. Napoli’s season has gotten off to a dreadful start following their early elimination from the Champions league and now a home defeat to Chievo, the pressure is now really on coach Benitez for his side to start playing more consistent, winning football. I am backing the southerners to bounce back in style.

Palermo Vs Inter
Following their hard fought draw in Gamesweek 1 Palermo were downed on their travels to Verona in what was also an extremely tight match. Coach Iachini will take courage from his side’s performances, which while not spectacular are filled with energy and guts. The Sicilians welcome an Inter side fresh from a 7-0 thrashing of Sassuolo. The Nerazzurri were always in command and their front line had a field day. Hopefully coach Mazzarri would have learnt the importance of fielding two strikers following that impressive display. Away win expected.

As predicted Torino were comfortably beaten by a stronger Sampdoria side and are looking out of ideas upfront following the departure of their two inspirational front men Cerci and Immobile last summer. Verona struggled to beat a tough Palermo side on their home soil and are looking a shadow of the side who took the Serie A by storm last year. Bore draw expected.
