Palermo Vs Genoa
Palermo sunk to the bottom of the standings after they could only draw on their travels to Chievo. Genoa are four points clear of the drop zone after some decent performances in recent weeks, including an impressive home winĀ againstĀ Udinese in Gamesweek 25. Their form has improved greatly following the reinforcements brought in during the January transfer window. With Palermo still struggling for goals I reckon a point is all they will get.

Sampdoria VsĀ Chievo
Sampdoria caused quite the upset last weekend as they held Napoli to a goalless draw at the San Paolo. Chievo were pretty poor by their standards as they were held at home by bottom side Palermo. Both these teams sit on 29 points in the standings but considering La Samp’s better recent form I am backing them for a slim victory.

Parma went down fighting at the San Siro last Friday night as Balotelli and co ensured they maintained their pace for Champions League football next season. Catania also kept their European football dreams alive by seeing off a brave Bologna side in Sicily thanks to a lone Almiron goal. This will most likely be an exciting encounter between two of Italy’s best mid-table teams. Expect goals in this score draw.

Bologna slumped to a narrow 1-0 away defeat in Sicily last weekend, while La Viola put on a stunning display to sweep aside the Nerazzuri, with Jovetic stealing the show. Even though Bologna are a tough side at home, I am backing Fiorentina to win this. Ā

Atalanta VsĀ Roma
Atalanta deservedly lost on their travels to Torino last weekend, in a match which they almost snatched a point. Roma did well to restrain a tired Juventus side at the Olimpico and shake off any doubts about their confidence following the sacking of coach Zeman a few weeks ago. Atalanta could hold out for a draw but I am going to give the benefit of the doubt to an inspired Roma victory.

Juventus Vs Siena
Following a dominant mid-week Champions League display, the reigning Serie A champions looked sluggish against a determined Roma side and returned to Turin empty handed. Siena continued their positive run with an impressive 3-0 win over 3rd place Lazio as they moved to 18th in the standings, just four points from safety. With Juventus getting a much needed mid-week break, they should have no problems winning comfortably here.

Cagliari did well to defeat relegation candidates Pescara on their travels last weekend, while Torino also dominated to beat Atalanta at home. With so little between these two teams I am going for a score draw.

Inter VsĀ Milan
Inter were extremely poor as they wereĀ pummeledĀ on their travels to Florence on Sunday night, while Milan took another important step to securing the allĀ importantĀ third Champions League spot by beating Parma at the San Siro. Milan areĀ undoubtedlyĀ favoritesĀ for this game and even though they have a tough mid-week fixture to contend with, Inter will be without the services of hit-man Milito and might struggle to create chances.

Udinese Vs Napoli
Udinese were defeated on their travels to Genoa, after dominating large stretches of the game, while Napoli missed their chance to close the gap at the top to just two points after being held at home by Sampdoria. Udinese are a tough team to play at home and I reckon the Southerners will leave frustrated once again.

Lazio were completely blown away by relegation candidates Siena, while Pescara are back in the drop zone following another home defeat. Lazio have now dropped to 4th place, albeit only on goal difference, however a win is a must if they are to stand a chance of qualifying for Europe’s top competition next season.
