Milan Vs Bologna

Despite taking an early lead at the San Paolo, Milan were unable to hold back a dominant Napoli side and ended up losing 1-3 with Balotelli crying in the dug out. The Rossoneri’s form has hardly improved under new coach Seedorf, however the manager will not be giving up just yet and will look at this fixture as a chance to get back to winning ways. Bologna have been extremely inconsistent this season, and their superb away win in Turin pretty much summarises their year so far as they sit just four points above the bottom three. Home win expected.

Prediction 2-1

Fiorentina Vs Inter

La Viola have been outstanding this campaign and coach Montella has been elevated among the top managers in the Serie A considering their limited, but capable squad. They deservedly sit in fourth only a few points away from that all important Champions League place. The same cannot be said for Inter however, as a season which started so well has quickly turned sour and coach Mazzarri has struggled at times to get he best out of his squad. Despite missing both Gomez and Rossi, considering Inter’s lack of ideas upfront I predict a home win.

Prediction 2-1

Catania Vs Lazio

Catania remain rooted to the bottom of the standings despite the point picked up at the Tardini in what was a bore draw. The Sicilians will be in real danger of dropping out of the Serie A next season. Lazio held out for a draw when they played their local rivals at the Olimpico as their good run of form continued under new coach Reja. I reckon the visitors will not have enough to beat this poor Catania side and will have to settle for a point.

Prediction 1-1

Atalanta Vs Parma

Both these sides were unimpressive in Week 23 despite their recent good form. Considering they are both in pretty comfortable positions I won’t be surprised if this ends in a draw.

Prediction 1-1

Cagliari Vs Livorno

Cagliari were undone by a stronger Sampdoria side but will be pleased to remain several points above the bottom three. They can increase this gap on Sunday when Livorno pay them a visit. The visitors have been poor this season and considering the bulk of their squad is made up of on loan youths players it’s amazing how they still have a chance of survival this season. Home win expected.

Prediction 1-0

Genoa Vs Udinese

Genoa currently sit in 10th, which is a vast improvement compared to their scraps with relegation in recent years. Udinese on the otherhand are far from the side who once challenged for Europa League positions, as the wholesale changes made over the summer seem to have taken their toll. I predict this will be an exciting Northern derby between these historic rivals which will end in a score draw.

Prediction 2-2

Juventus Vs Chievo

La Juve will be kicking themselves for not holding on for the final few minutes as a late Verona goal meant that the spoils were shared. Despite this lapse in concentration La Juve maintained their comfortable cushion at the top of the Serie A following a draw in the Roman derby. Chievo are in real danger of playing Serie B football next season after over ten years in the top flight as they sit just one point above the bottom three and this Juve side will be doing them no favours.

Prediction 3-0

Sassuolo Vs Napoli

Despite a valiant performance Sassuolo were undone by a lone Inter goal at the San Siro to remain in the relegation zone. Napoli showed real grit to come back in style at the San Paolo and complimented that performance with a fine home win against Roma on Wednesday night to secure their place in the Italian Cup Final. Considering their recent form I predict an away win.

Prediction 0-2

Roma Vs Sampdoria

Roma failed to snatch a rare opportunity to close the gap on leaders Juventus when they were held by local rivals Lazio. Garcia really must snap his troops out of this poor form soon if they are to stand any chance of challenging the reigning champions. Sampdoria have been exceptional following the arrival of Mihajlovic as coach and have climbed steadily up the table to safety. They will fancy their chances against this struggling Roma side, however I reckon Totti will do enough to inspire his side to a slim home victory.

Prediction 2-1

Verona Vs Torino

Verona will be pleased to have gotten their positive home form, which had kept them among the top three for long spells this season, back on track to hold the reigning champions after coming back from two goals. Torino were unexpectedly beaten at home by Bologna as the long season seems to be taking it’s toll on this limited squad. Home win expected.

Prediction 2-1
