Juventus Vs Fiorentina

Undoubtedly, the most highly anticipated fixture of the weekend takes place at the Olimpico in Rome, as high flying Napoli take on a tough Lazio side. Both these teams have been grinding out valuable points all season and deservedly sit in the two remaining Champions League places. Even though Lazio are most likely out of the title race, the southerners still have everything toĀ playĀ for and will look towards their star man Cavani to inspire his team to a historic victory to keep the pace with Juve. I predict an enthralling draw.

Parma vsĀ Genoa
A usually stubborn Parma side were dispatched rather too easily on their travels to Florence in Week 23 and will see this home fixture as an ideal opportunity to return to winning ways. The visitors are finally playing some good football and deservedly beat high flyers Lazio to climb out of the relegation zone, after holding Juve in Turin the previous week. While you can Ā be sure Genoa will not go down without a fight I reckon Parma will have too much for them at the Tardini.

Atalanta did very well to defeat lowly Palermo in Sicily last weekend, while Catania could not control the attacking prowess of Cavani and co. This will be an extremely balanced match hence I predict a draw.Ā

Cagliari vsĀ Milan
Cagliari’s fantastic win at the Olimpico last Friday night saw the end of Zeman’s reign as Roma coach and also put three vital points to their name as they hover just four points above the drop zone. Milan were gifted an extremely soft penalty decision on Sunday night, which wasĀ comfortablyĀ converted by their new star man Mario Balotelli, to go level on points with city rivals Inter. Even though Milan are in terrific form, I reckon they will have their work cut out for them in Sardinia and should just pip all three points.

Palermo vsĀ Pescara
Palermo sank to the bottom of the pack following a home defeat last weekend, while Pescara were also defeated at homeĀ againstĀ Bologna to fall back in the bottom three. With just three pointsĀ separatingĀ these two teams this is bound to be a very close encounter, with Palermo seeing this as a chance to join Pescara on 20 points. I am backing the Sicilians and their terrific home support.

La Samp put on a dogged display as they held Torino to a bore draw, while Roma are now coachless following their home defeat to Cagliari. With Roma is such a state I would not beĀ surprisedĀ if Sampdoria take full advantage and win this to distance themselves further from the relegation zone.

Bologna showed a lot of grit to come back and defeat Pescara on their travels, while Siena were excellent as they swept past a poor Inter side to move up a place to 19th in the Serie A standings following months in 20th place. Even though Siena will be brimming with confidence this Bologna side are playing some great football and I expect them to take all three pointĀ thisĀ coming Sunday.

Udinese vs Torino
Udinese were unfortunate to lose at the San Siro on Sunday night, following a very soft penalty in the last minute of stoppage time. Torino will be upset with themselves for being unable to defeat Sampdoria and climb into the top half of the table. Even though Torino are known to put up a fight on their travels, I believe that the attacking prowess of Di Natale and Muriel will be enough to see them off in a tight encounter.

Even with three very late signings Inter were extremely poor on their travels to Siena last weekend and ended the game with ten men. Even though they have the home advantage Chievo never go down without a fight hence the Nerazzuri really have their work cut out. Despite this, I predict a narrow victory.
