Sassuolo vs Torino
As expected Sassuolo stood little chance in Naples as they were comfortably beaten by a superior Napoli side while Torino won their first game since November over a spirited Frosinone. This game is being played on Wednesday night after it was postponed in early December. I reckon the home side can win this.

Inter vs Carpi
Once again Inter were extremely poor as they relied on the goalkeeping heroics of Handanovic to earn them an important point in Atalanta while Carpi fought hard to win just their fourth game of the season. This is a must win for Mancini’s side.

Frosinone vs Atalanta
Frosinone once again showed they have plenty of fighting spirit but are lacking the quality required to compete in the Serie A and collect points required to remain in Italy’s top flight. Luck was not on Atalanta’s side on Saturday afternoon as a number of brilliant saves from Inter’s Samir Handanovic denied Reja’s men an important win. Close game expected to end in a draw.

Empoli vs Milan
Empoli remain in the hunt for Europa League football next season as they came back to hold out for a draw against Chievo in what has been a great season for the side from Tuscany. Milan finally seem to be settling into Mihajlovic’s system as they swept past a stuttering Fiorentina side to the delight of the home crowd. Milan have a poor away record so I think they will settle for a draw.

Fiorentina vs Torino
Fiorentina have won just one of their three Serie A games this year as they struggle to find their feet after the Christmas break and Sousa will demand an immediate improvement from his men. Torino won their first game in over two months in what as been a tough season for Il Toro when compared to recent seasons. Home win is a must.

Verona vs Genoa
As we go into Gameweek 21 Verona remain one of the few sides in Europe without a win to their name and will probably be the first team to be relegated. Genoa continued with their good run of form by demolishing a poor Palermo side as Gasperini’s men look to make up for their poor start and distance themselves from the bottom three. Tough one to call but the home side don’t seem like they are going to win anytime soon.

Lazio fought hard to come back from two goals down and earn an important point in Bologna to maintain their positive run of form. Chievo were held at home by a stubborn Empoli side to remain among the top half of the table. A win would seriously strengthen the home sides chances of European football next season.

Palermo vs Udinese
So far Palermo have done just enough to avoid the bottom three but have been extremely inconsistent which could come back to haunt them in May. Udinese are just four points above Palermo and were thrashed in front of their own fans by a far superior Juventus side. The Sicilians will fancy their chances.

Sampdoria are just six points clear from the bottom three in what has been a season to forget so far. Napoli remained top of the table after a commanding 3-1 win over Sassuolo. The Neapolitans know that there is a long way to go before they can even start to consider their the Championship, especially with Juventus on such superb form but this is a must win for Sarri’s men.

Sassuolo are another of last seasons minnows who so far has surpassed all expectations and despite losing in Naples on Saturday night still sit 7th in the table. Luck was not on Bologna’s side as a 70th minute penalty and sending off allowed Lazio back into the game. Home win expected..

Juventus vs Roma
Juventus have now won ten straight Serie A games propelling themselves up the standings after a bad start and are now just two points from the top. Despite Spalletti taking over from Garcia last week, in his second spell as Roma coach, his side struggled to create chances agaisnt lowly Verona to slip behind the title race. Allegri’s men to win comfortably on Sunday night.
