Napoli will be kicking themselves for allowing ten men Bologna to score a very late equaliser and hence drop two valuable points in the title race. Chievo were outplayed in their back garden by an impressive Parma side and can expect a similar bashing this Saturday afternoon.

Lazio Vs Juventus
Lazio showed true grit as they came back twice, after playing with ten men for over 30 minutes too prove to the entire Serie A that they are a force to be reckoned with on their day under coach Reja. Juventus did well to see off a determined Sampdoria side to maintain their 8 point lead in the standings. Considering Lazio’s recent form, I reckon they should have enough to hold out the Champions to a draw.

Verona Vs Roma
Verona have struggled to find their previous form so far this year, as they lost their second on the trot at San Siro via a late Balotelli spot kick. Despite their slow start to 2014, they still boast one of the best home records and will look at this Roma visit as a challenge to see how well they can perform now that star man Jorginho has left for Napoli. Roma were outstanding to brush aside a poor Livorno side and really need to leave Verona with atleast a point in order to keep in touch with Juventus.

Cagliari Vs Milan
Cagliari fought hard but were undone by a lone strike half way through the second half to leave empty handed from an in form Atalanta side. Milan got off to a good start under new coach Seedorf to beat Verona at home as they look to improve their league position following a dismal season to date. Due to their Wednesday night Coppa Italia clash I reckon the Rossoneri might not have enough in them to leave Sardinia with all three points.

Inter Vs Catania
Lady luck has turned her back on the Nerazzurri as they continue to struggle and were extremely unfortunate not to leave Genoa with atleast a point as a pitch which resembled a potato field and a spectacular performance from goalkeeper Perin ensured that Inter were held at bay, only to concede a late goal to leave empty handed. Catania were demolished by an impressive Fiorentina side who proved they could cope without both Gomez and Rossi, who are out due to long term injuries, and remain rooted to the bottom of the table. Home win expected here.

Livorno proved no match for a dominant Roma side at the Olimpico as they we swept aside and sit with Catania at the bottom of the table with a seemingly impossible task of avoiding the drop come May. Sassuolo were also beaten on their home soil and sit just 4 points above the hosts, joint with two other sides on 17 points. Bore draw expected here.

Parma Vs Udinese
Parma will be delighted with their convincing win on their travels to Chievo as they secured just their third away win of the season to more up to 7th in the standings. Udinese were involved in a 5 goal thriller but despite playing with an extra man for over half an hour were unable to contend with such a determined Lazio side. Udinese have been far from their best this season, despite a recent improvement in form, so I am backing the home side to win this.

Despite losing at the Juventus Stadium La Samp will be proud with their brave performance against the reigning champion and will look at this visit from Bologna as a chance to get back to winning ways. Bologna showed real character to hold Napoli at home and can thank front man Bianchi heroics for securing a vital home point. Home win predicted here.

Fiorentina Vs Genoa
Montella’s La Viola have been one of the Serie A’s top sides this season and remained in the hunt for a Champions League place after their superb 3-0 away win in Sicily, with new boy Matri scoring a brace. Genoa have also improved tremendously when compared to previous years and will be pleased with their current league position, as well as their disciplined display last weekend which saw them win three vital points off a careless Inter side.
