Pescara Vs Catania
Pescara stood little chance on Sunday afternoon as they were swept aside at the San Siro and even managed to put two past their own goal keeper. Catania on the other hand put on a confident display as they came from behind to defeat La Samp in Sicily. They will have a very tough job as they travel to Pescara, who will be desperate to secure atleast a point.

Cagliari vs Juventus
Cagliari were extremely poor in Week 17 as they were demolished on their trip to the Tardini stadium by Parma, while the reigning champions took no prisoners as they went 3-0 up within the first half an hour in Turin against Atalanta. With the Sardinians in such poor form, I predict they will succumb to yet another defeat.

Inter vs Genoa
Most pundits would agree that Inter were very unlucky in their last fixture when they lost to Lazio on their travels after hitting the post twice and then conceding against the run of play. Stramaccioni will be glad to be facing this poor Genoa side who currently sit in penultimate place, so that his team have a chance to return to winning ways.

Atalanta vs Udinese
Just two points divide these two teams and with Udinese boasting one of their weaker sides in recent history I would not be surprised if Atalanta, who are also not setting any houses on fire but do have a knack of winning these type of games at home, secure all three.

Bologna vs Parma
Bologna pulled off the shock of Week 17 as they came from behind in the last five minutes and defeated Napoli on their travels down South. Parma also impressed as they put four past Cagliari at home. Both these teams are renowned for putting up a hell of a fight and will both fancy their chances of securing all three points. This is a very tough call, however I am backing the home side.

Palermo vs Fiorentina
An important away point on their travels to Udinese has allowed the Sicilians to limp out of the relegation zone, while La Viola were fantastic as they trounced lowly Siena at home. Even though most pundits will back Fiorentina to leave with all three points, I am sticking my neck out and going for an exciting home draw.

Sampdoria vs Lazio
Sampdoria were once again very poor as they lost in Sicily and they keep sliding down the table. Lazio were very grateful that their experienced front man Klose pounced at a half chance and secured a vital win against Inter in Rome. With La Samp just three points off the drop zone, and having replaced Delio Rossi with Ciro Ferrara at the helm, they will be desperate to secure atleast a point.

Siena were hammered on their travels to Florence in the early Saturday afternoon fixture, while Napoli slipped to the unlikeliest of defeats at home to Bologna. With Siena still occupying the foot of the table, I reckon Mazzarri will ensure that his team end on the high before the Christmas break.

Very little separates these two teams, with Torino doing well on their travels to Genoa to earn an important point and Chievo snatching all three at the death against Roma. Even though Torino might fancy their chances, Chievo are an extremely tough side to beat.

Roma vs Milan
Without a doubt the most anticipated fixture of the weekend, before the Serie A takes it’s customary festive break, sees the meeting of two of the league’s most in form teams. Bar Roma’s late set-back last week, when they conceded an 87th minute to leave Chievo empty handed, they have been in fine form, while Allegri’s men have now won 8 games on the trot in all competitions. I predict an enticing score draw is on the cards!
