Genoa vs Sampdoria
Genoa were comfortably beaten on their travels to Rome and the side from Liguria now linger just a point above the bottom three. Sampdoria are also having a season to forget after sacking coach Zenga just a few months into his tenure leaving Montella to pick up the pieces. I predict a close game in this local derby on Tuesday night.

Udinese vs Atalanta
Udinese are another side who were once a force to be reckoned with but have struggled in recent years after regular wholesale summer changes. Atalanta will be pleased with their season so far considering their relegation scrape last year. I reckon another draw is on the cards.

Milan vs Bologna
The Rossoneri ended the year with an important win on their travels to Frosinone to climb up among the Europa League spots as Milan finally seem to be settling into Mihajlovic’s system. Bologna would have wished for the Christmas break never to come as they were in a superb run of form, winning 4 out of their last 8 games and climbing out of the bottom three. Home win expected.

Chievo vs Roma
Chievo sit in a comfortable mid-table position and will hope to secure a few more points sooner rather than later to avoid a relegation battle in May. Roma beat Genoa in Gameweek 16 to move to four points behind league leaders Inter as the pressure was mounting on Garcia and his stuttering side to atleast keep in touch the the leaders. This will be a tight game for the visitors men which I reckon will end all square.

Juventus vs Verona
The reigning champions are quickly regaining lost ground after a poor start and Allegri’s side are now just three points from the top as the Old Lady aim to win their 5th consecutive Scudetto. Verona have found themselves in all sorts of trouble early on this season as they sit at the bottom of the Serie A standings with little hope of surviving in site. Comfortable home win expected.

Lazio vs Carpi
Lazio ended 2015 on a high as a determined performance was enough to down league leaders Inter at the San Siro meaning Pioli’s men went into the Christmas break among the top half of the table. Serie A newcomers Carpi have struggled to make the grade so far as they linger among the bottom three and will need to be much better in 2016 if they are going to survive in the Italian top flight.

Palermo vs Fiorentina
Palermo have proven to be extremely inconsistent on their return to Serie A football, however they have shown glimpses of solidity at home which could save them from the drop. Fiorentina have been one of the most impressive sides in the Serie A this season, progressing into the Final 32 of the Europa League and are just one point off league leaders Inter. I think the home side have enough to frustrate the visitors.

Sassuolo vs Frosinone
After two tough years Sassuolo seem to have finally found their feet in the Serie A and will be delighted with their start to their campaign and at this rate will qualify for Europa League football next season. Considering it’s the clubs first ever season in the Serie A Frosinone have been far from perfect but might stand a chance of survival if they can maintain their disciplined team displays. Home win expected.

Just like Sassuolo, Empoli have surpassed all expectations winning almost half of their fixtures and have a good chance of playing European football next season. In what was a terrific start to their campaign, Inter will kick themselves for letting an inconsistent Lazio side beat them at the San Siro to allow the chasing pack close the gap to just a point. I predict a close game.

Napoli vs Torino
Despite a shaky start Napoli have settled into the system of new coach Maurizio Sarri who has managed to make the best of their fantastic front line while also tighten their rear guard. Torino seem to have lost some last season’s sharpness as they have dropped drops which would have been snapped up meaning Il Toro sit among the bottom half of the table. Napoli to win at home.
