Udinese did very well on Monday night as they defeated La Samp on their travels, while Palermo lost by the slenderness of margins against the reigning champions in Sicily. Even though Palermo always put up a fight, I predict that Guidolin will encourage his team to secure another victory and maintain a positive run of form.

Lazio vs Inter
Lazio were held at Bologna in the late Monday night fixture and also ended the match with 10 men following the sending-off of Czech forward, Kozak. Inter on the other hand put on a solid display to dismiss title contenders Napoli at the San Siro and have now leap frogged the Southerners to second place in the Serie A standings. With so little separating these two teams and Lazio’s home advantage I am going for a score draw.

Fiorentina have not won in three matches now as they lost on their travels last Saturday night. Siena remain planted at the foot of the table as they struggle to climb out of the relegation zone and I reckon they will have very little chance of leaving Florence with any points.

Catania vs Sampdoria
Catania did very well to recover from an early goal to defeat Siena 1-3 on their travels last Sunday. Even though La Samp’s recent form has improved in recent weeks I predict they will stand little chance in Sicily and will most likely leave empty handed.

Chievo vs Roma
Chievo once again proved that no one shouldĀ underestimateĀ them as they defeated Cagliari in Sardinia, while Roma maintained their positive run of form with an important home winĀ againstĀ Fiorentina. Even though the Roman’s good form means that they will fancy their chances, I predict Chievo will hold out for a draw.

Genoa vs Torino
Genoa remain with all sorts of problems as they sit in penultimate place and their coach, experienced tactician Delneri, seems to be completely clueless on how to solve the many troubles his team face. Torino lost at home to Milan in Week 16 and even though they were unfortunate to lose by such a margin, admittedly they were second best on the day. I am sticking my neck out a little and giving Delneri the benefit of the doubt and going for a score draw.

The reigning champions extended their lead at the top to four points following a tricky away winĀ againstĀ Palermo, while Atalanta also did well to see of Parma on their home soil, a team who have recently caused a number of upsets. Even though Atalanta are not an easy nut to crack, Juve should win comfortably.

Milan’s impressive form continues with an important winĀ againstĀ Torino and they will look at this home fixture as an easy opportunity to rack up three more vital points as they look to make up for lost ground. While Pescara will take courage from their recent good form, I predict they stand very little chance at the San Siro.

Even though Bologna’s ranks boast the likes of Diamanti and Gilardino, they seem to be struggling to establish themselves this season and currently sit just three points above the drop zone. They did well on Monday to hold on to a point against Lazio at home, however I reckon that Napoli, fresh from a defeat at the San Siro will take full advantage of this home fixture and bounce back in style.
