Catania vs Milan
Milan will go into this game in a confident mood following a win against reigning champions Juventus. Catania succumbed to a defeat against their Sicilian rivals in Palermo and really need to improve or else lose their top half of the table status following a good start to their campaign. With Milan in good form and Catania desperate to get some points on the board I reckon a draw is on the cards.

Juventus vs Torino
Juventus were for once at the wrong end of a refereeing decision as they lost to Milan at the San Siro, following an impressive mid-week demolition of European Champions Chelsea. Torino put on a solid display to hold high flying Fiorentina on Sunday and will be keen to take advantage of a Juventus team who already seem tired following a very congested fixture list, however I predict Juve should take all three points in this derby.

Napoli vs Pescara
Napoli did well to beat fellow islanders Cagliari on their travels to move into second place, just two points behind Juve. Pescara were defeated on their home soil against Roma and currently sit at the very bottom of the Serie A, a position they will most likely retain for most of the season. With Napoli finding their feet again there can only be one winner in this fixture.

Bologna vs Atalanta
Both these teams have been far from perfect so far this season, with Atalanta, who just this year returned to Serie A, doing considerably better then Bologna, a team with a lot of top flight experience. With Bologna so desperate for three points to climb out of the relegation zone I am backing them to go the distance.

Genoa vs Chievo
Very little separates these two teams, as they are both level on points in the standings, and even though Genoa have superior firepower upfront their back-line has been leaking goals all season long. Despite this I am still backing the home side to take all three points.

Inter vs Palermo
The Nerazzuri have reached crisis point with another loss on their travels to Parma on Monday night and have yet again failed to take advantage of the points dropped by Juventus. Palermo did well to see off Catania in the local derby, however got knocked out of the Coppa Italia against minnows Verona a couple of days later. With so much pressure on Stramaccioni’s men I predict a win for Inter.

Lazio vs Parma
Lazio put on a solid display as they demolished Udinese at the Olimpico on Tuesday night. Parma were fantastic as they beat Inter at home and exposed all the holes in the Inter defense, with Biabiany in particular causing havoc. Even though Parma have a very compact squad, Lazio should overwhelm them on their home soil.

Siena vs Roma
Siena’s positive form continues as they held on for an all important point in Chievo. Roma also did well to leave Pescara with full points as they continue to climb the table and catch up the the rest of Italy’s high flyers. While Roma did well last weekend, Siena will put on a much sterner test for the Romans hence why I am going for a low scoring draw.

Udinese vs Cagliari
Udinese left Rome shell shocked in a match were they barely had a say in anything and were fortunate for the goalkeeping heroics of Brkic, who a part from a number of world class stops also saved a penalty. Cagliari were defeated by Napoli at home and will see this fixture as a chance to snatch a point from a very unsettled team who are still gelling following wholesale summer changes. Having said that, I reckon Udinese will bounce back and produce an all important home win.

Fiorentina vs Sampdoria
Fiorentina were held by a stubborn Torino side and Montella will want his team to get back to winning ways following a run of very positive performances which has seen them leap-frog Inter and Lazio into third position. Sampdoria only just managed to beat Bologna at home and it is clear that coach Ciro Ferrara still has a lot of work to do if his side intend to remain in the Serie A. There will only be one winner in this fixture.
