Palermo vs Catania
Week 14 of Serie A fixtures could not kick off with a more fiery fixture as the two top clubs in Sicily battle it out for bragging rights and three vital points! Palermo have finally found some good form and have managed to remain unbeaten in five matches, while Catania were annihilated on their travels to Bologna but alteast retained their 7th place spot in the standings. With so little seperating these two teams on paper, I am going for a score draw.

Atalanta vs Genoa
Atalanta have had a good start to their campaign following their recent promotion to the top flight and they deservedly sit in 8th place. Genoa have been dreadful so far this year winning just 2 out of 13 games and currently sit at the bottom of the standing. Atalanta have lost two on the trot and will see this as a chance to bounce back.

Chievo vs Siena
Siena are only below Chievo in the table due to starting their season with a points deduction and Cosmi will be pleased that his side have managed to catch up with the rest of the pack so early on. I feel both teams will be happy with a point hence I predict a score draw.

Pescara vs Roma
Until a few weeks ago most pundits were banking on Pescara as being the early relegation candidates as they struggled to settle in Serie A. However they finally seem to have found their feet and did well to beat Cagliari away last weekend. Zeman has yet to find his strongest line up as he continues to tinker with his youthful squad. Considering both team’s form I wouldn’t beĀ surprisedĀ if Pescara hold out for a draw.

Sampdoria vs Bologna
These two teams have both been very poor recently and bar last weekend, neither had won a match in seven matchdays. Bologna do have a potent front line with the likes of Diamanti and Gilardino and this might just give them the edge over La Samp.

Torino vs Fiorentina
Fiorentina have been one of the high-flying squads of the Serie A campaign so far and Montella will be keen to add a further three points to the board in order retain their 3rd place spot. Torino however are an extremely determined lot and in recent weeks managed to hold both Lazio and Napoli on their travels. Even though Fiorentina areĀ favoritesĀ I am sticking my neck out and going for a draw.

Milan vs Juventus
Sunday’s night big game sees a battle of the highest order in which the reigning champions will travel to the San Siro to face their arch rivals. Allaegri has finally been able to coax his mean into action following the departure of two of their top stars over the summer, while Juventus have also bounced back in style following a heavy defeat to the Nerazzurri a few weeks ago. Considering both these teams form I predict Milan will hold out for a draw. Ā

Cagliari vs Napoli
Cagliari were denied a historic victory over Inter at the San Siro by a last minute own goal but will take courage from that result and make sure that they do not let Napoli walk all over them in Sardinia. Napoli allowed a two goal lead over Milan to slip through their fingers on Saturday night and it is not the first time this season they have failed to close a game off.

Parma areĀ renownedĀ for being an extremely compact yet dynamic team, who play very solid defensive football but are then very fast on the break. Inter’s recent form has dipped slightly following a fantastic win over arch rivals Juventus a few weeks ago. Stramaccioni would have hoped for an easier outing to get back to winning ways,Ā particularlyĀ since they have aĀ gruelingĀ Europe League fixture.

Lazio will be pleased with the start they have had to their season and will be keen to maintain their good run of form and remain close to the all important top three Champions League places. Udinese have drawn four games on the trot as Guidolin carries on gelling all the new summer arrivals,Ā in what he will see as a transition period. With Udinese still lacking in various departments Lazio should secure all three points comfortably
