Mazzarri was extremely relieved with his team after they came from behind in Genoa last Sunday to end their poor run of form, while Milan’s problems continued as they suffered another home defeat to the hand’s of Fiorentina. The January transfer window can not come soon enough for Allegri’s men, who are in dire need of reinforcements. With Milan in such poor form, I highly doubt they will be leaving Naples with anything.

Bologna vs Palermo
Bologna were unfortunate to leave Torino empty handed on Sunday afternoon and will want anĀ immediateĀ response as they currently sit in penultimate position. Palermo leap-frogged several teams to 14th place with an important win at home and will want to continue with a good run of form. With so littleĀ separatingĀ these teams I predict a draw.

Catania did well to leave Sardinia with a point on Saturday while Chievo twice let go of a one goal advantage to finish with a pointĀ againstĀ Udinese. While Chievo are no pushovers, I predict a home win for the Sicilians who can be ruthless on their home soil.

Fiorentina vs Atalanta
Fiorentina put in a solid display to sweep past Milan at the San Siro, while Atalanta were equally impressive as they defeated Inter on their home soil. While the Nerazzuri are no pushovers, La Viola should win this in their stride.

Inter vs Cagliari
Inter dropped their first points on the road this season on Sunday afternoon as their extensive fixture list and some injuries, particularly in defence, seem to be taking their toll. Cagliari were held to a goal-less draw in Sardinia and I predict will have a hard time at the San Siro.

Siena put on a solid display to leave Parma with a pointĀ againstĀ the odds, and a win in this fixture might allow them to finally leave the foot of the table after sitting there for several months. Pescara were demolished on their home soil by Juventus and will have to put the thrashing behind them if they stand any chance of leaving Stadio Franchi with anything.

Both these teams earned a point in Week 12 of Serie A fixtures, with La Zebrette doing well to come back twice. Parma will not be as pleased after being held to a scoreless draw at the Tardini Stadium. With Guidolin still looking to find the best of his new squad and so little between these two teams, i predict a score draw.

Sampdoria vs Genoa
La Samp suffered another defeat at the hands of Palermo in Sicily on Sunday and Ciro Ferrara’s days might be numbered if his team do not start picking up the points soon. Genoa have not been much better, and while goals are not a problem, goalkeeper Frey has been far from impressed with his defense, as they conceded four at homeĀ againstĀ Napoli. This will be a very tight derby, which I predict will end in a win for the visitors and perhaps see the end of Ferrara’s reign.

Roma vs Torino
Roma lost on Sunday and were let down by top man De Rossi, who lost his cool during the all important derby and was sent for an early shower just before the end of the first half. Torino will be pleased with their home win against Bologna and will fancy their chances in Rome, seeing as Roma have conceded the most goals in the Serie A, along with Chievo and Pescara. While Torino will fancy their chances, Zeman willĀ undoubtedlyĀ inject the necessary urgencyĀ amongĀ his men to ensure they grab all three points.
