Atalanta v Parma

Kickoff: Week 10, Saturday 27 October

An interesting encounter between 15th place Atalanta and 11th position Parma gets us underway for the Serie A week 10 predictions. Atalanta have had a poor start to the campaign for there standards and has seen them manage to pick up just nine points from the same number of games. However, with a 5-1 thrashing over Chievo last time out, they will feel this is the perfect time to get back to back wins under their belts.

Parma have had a good start to life in Serie A, currently sat 11th in the table with a tidy thirteen points in the bag. It’s very rare newly promoted teams do well on there travels but Parma are an exception with two wins out on four on the road. They will be hoping to build on that this weekend against a side who last season were very strong at home. Another win this weekend and a firm statement has been sent out by Parma.

We can see this one being a tightly contested game between two tightly defensive sides.

  • Our correct score prediction for this one is 1-1 which is priced at 9/1.

Empoli v Juventus

Kickoff: Week 10, Saturday 27 October

Empoli look as if they are up against it this weekend as they welcome reigning champions Juventus to Stadio Carlo Castellani in a bid to try to get out of the bottom three. It’s been a long and hard start to the season for Empoli who have managed to get just one win on the board so far. It’s hard to see them ending that poor run this weekend but a good and positive performance is needed to up the spirits in the camp or this long and hard start to the season could drag on.

Juventus will go into this expecting nothing less of three points and we can’t see them missing out on there wish this weekend. They have been playing with such flare and organisation so far this campaign in both Serie A and in the Champions League. It’ll take a strong opposition to stop these players and for us, Empoli just isn’t that team.

No brainer for us this weekend, Juventus to win this one and win it well. We’re going for:

  • Correct score 0-3 which is 13/2

Torino v Fiorentina

Kickoff: Week 10, Saturday 27 October

In-form Torino welcome high-flying Fiorentina to Stadio Torino in Saturday’s late match which both teams looking to build on a positive opening nine games. Torino come into this one without a defeat in there last four outings, winning two and drawing two. This is arguably there toughest test out of those last four, but one they have prepared for well.

Fiorentina started very well but in recent weeks have been struggling with just one win in there last four. Playing away from home has been a problem for Fiorentina this season with three defeats and a draw which has seen them slip away from the top four. This looks like it could be
another tough match on the road for the away side.

With Torino playing with confidence at the minute and Fiorentina struggling to put a run of positive results together, we see a close game but with the home side edging it.

  • You can get Torino to win 1-0 at 7/1.

Sassuolo v Bologna

Kickoff: Week 10, Sunday 28 October

Serie A is back in action on Sunday morning as Bologna make the trip to Sassuolo to try and get there season really up and running. In recent years this hasn’t been one of the most entertaining encounters with just one of there last six meetings going over the 2.5 goal market.

Sassuolo are currently going through a blip after a solid start to the season but will see this as the perfect chance to get back on track.

Bologna have struggled to get going this season and it shows with the club sitting in 17th, just one place and two points above the bottom three. Although it’s still early days it is important to start getting points on the board otherwise they will find themselves slipping further and further into trouble.

Having scored just six goals in nine games, it is clear where the big problem lays. Although Bologna have to have a change in fortune soon, we can’t see it being this weekend. Sassuolo to get back to winning ways this weekend is our opinion and we’re:

  • Backing a 1-0 win which is priced at 11/2.

Cagliari v Chievo

Kickoff: Week 10, Sunday 28 October

Cagliari are at home to bottom of the table Chievo this weekend in a match which could prove important for both sides come to the end of the season. Cagliari are currently sitting in 14th position, four points above the relegation zone. The Sardi will see this one as a must-win being the home team and taking on opponents who have really struggled so far this campaign.

Chievo were slumped with a 3-point deduction at the beginning of the season which already put a downer on the club but having picked up just two points from nine games, it has left them in deep trouble even this early. The away side are already nine points from safety and struggling to even compete in games. This could be a really long and tough season for the club.

With Chievo struggling and Cagliari coming into this with just one defeat in four, we can only see one winner.

  • Cagliari to win this one at 6/1 looks to have a good chance.

Genoa v Udinese

Kickoff: Week 10, Sunday 28 October

Genoa will be looking to bounce back from a recent slump as they welcome a Udinese side who have lost four on the bounce coming into this one. When we say Genoa have had a slump, it looks it on paper but when you have a look into the opponents, they haven’t done too bad. The
defeat to Parma a couple of weeks ago was a shock and a day to forget, but the draw away at

Juventus last time out was a result that’ll fill this team with a lot of confidence. Udinese had an unsteady start to the campaign but have now hit a brick wall with four straight defeats and slipping down to 16th in the league. In those four defeats, they have played Lazio, Juventus, and Napoli which are three of the toughest games they will have but it still would’ve had an impact on the team morale.

With Udinese on a downward spiral, we can only see one winner.

  • Genoa to win 2-1 is 8/1.

SPAL v Frosinone

Kickoff: Week 10, Sunday 28 October

SPAL has a great start to the season but have been brought back down to earth in recent weeks with four defeats in five games. Last time out they managed to bag a surprise win away in Rome but will only feel that hard work was worth it if they can get all three points against a struggling Frosinone side.

Frosinone have really struggled since there return to Serie A with just two points picked up in the opening nine-match weeks. Not only have Frosinone been losing on a regular basis, but they have also been getting pretty battered which is soul destroying to all those players working hard week in, week out.

A draw last time out at home to Empoli would have brought the faith back slightly but a win is desperately needed. SPAL have lost their last two on home turf but before that were a tough side to beat. Frosinone have lost every game on the road so far this season and I expect that run to extend on Sunday.

  • SPAL to win 2-0 is our correct score prediction priced at 7/1.

AC Milan v Sampdoria

Kick off: Week 10, Sunday 28 October

Hard-to-beat AC Milan welcome Sampdoria to the San Siro this Sunday in what looks to be one of the most entertaining matches of the weekend. Although AC Milan are sitting in 12th position, they have been a very hard team to beat this season, losing just twice in eight games. Home form has been almost perfect for Milan with two wins and a draw from three games. Can they maintain that form this weekend?

Well, Sampdoria will have other ideas and with the two wins and a draw from there last three games on the road, they have a very good chance. French striker Gregoire Defrel has had a cracking start to the campaign with five goals already to his name. If Sampdoria are at there best this weekend, this could be a great watch.

Both sides come into this one with good form and for that reason, we can’t decide between
them so for this one:

  • We’re going 1-1 draw which you can get at 7/1.

Napoli v Roma

Kickoff: Week 10, Sunday 28 October

Two of Serie A’s big guns go head to head on Sunday night with Napoli taking on Roma. Napoli will go into this game having won three and drawn once of there last four games in all competitions. The draw away to PSG during the week would have filled this side with the belief they can compete with the very best in the world.

Napoli have been the only side to challenge Juventus for the league over the last few years and that could be the case again this season. Roma have been in outstanding form with five wins from six games. They had a blip last time out in the league falling down 2-0 to SPAL on home soil. But the 3-0 win over CSKA Moscow in the week would have given the side the second wind to take on this very tough challenge away
at Napoli.

Edin Dzeko will need to be on the top of his game this weekend if he is to give this Roma side a chance.
We can see this one being a very entertaining encounter full of chances and goals. But with Napoli having the home advantage this weekend:

  • We can see them making it count and winning this one 2-1.

Lazio v Inter

Kickoff: Week 10, Monday 29 October

Two of the leagues inform sides go head to head on Monday night as 4th place Lazio welcome 3rd position Inter Milan to the famous Stadio Olimpico. Lazio come into this one with three wins out of three including a crucial 3-1 win over Marseille in the Europa League. Ciro Immobile has once again been the main man for Lazio with six goals to his name. It seems to be when he plays well, the team plays well.

Inter Milan were able to get one over the bitter rivals AC Milan in there last Serie A thanks to a stoppage-time strike from star striker Mauro Icardi. Although the side suffered a 2-0 defeat away to Barcelona during the week, they will be hoping to build on five straight wins in the league to keep the pressure on Napoli and Juventus.

Another cracking game coming up in Serie A on Monday. If this one is anything last recent meetings between the two, we are going to be in for a treat with plenty of goals. Our correct score for this one is a bit crazy but shows what kind of game we are expecting.

  • Inter Milan to win this one 3-2 is our score prediction and you can get it at a huge 35/1.
