liverpool man city epl prediction

Norwich v Watford

Kick-off: Gameweek 12, Friday 8th November, 20:00

A huge game this one for both sides struggling near the foot of the table with Norwich looking to get their third win of the season which will put them within touching distance of getting out the bottom three. Since the shock win over Manchester City a couple of months ago, Norwich have really struggled to back up that performance and now find themselves in a tricky situation.

Watford are already six points from safety and have a poor goal difference meaning they would most likely need to catch up seven points to get out of the bottom three. They are the only side yet to win a Premier League game this season and with only five points on the board, it looks as if it could be a long, tough season for the club.

A tough one to call this with both sides really struggling but we can see Norwich taking advantage of being the home team.

● Correct score prediction: Norwich 1 – 0 Watford
● Odds: 6/1

Chelsea v Crystal Palace

Kick-off: Gameweek 12, Saturday 9th November, 12:30

Chelsea would have been happy to have come from 4-1 down during the week to draw with Ajax in the Champions League which really does show the character Frank Lampard’s men have and the confidence they are playing with. Having now climbed up to 4th, they’ll be keen to keep pushing on and keeping the pressure on the sides above them.

Crystal Palace have had a better start to the season than many would have expected. However, without a win in three games has seen them quickly slip down the Premier League table and with this difficult fixture looming, they’ll know they’ll have to be at their best to put an end to this current blip they’re having.

A home win in this one for us, although we can’t see Palace making it easy for Chelsea.

● Correct score prediction: Chelsea 2 – 1 Crystal Palace
● Odds: 12/1

Burnley v West Ham

Kick-off: Gameweek 12, Saturday 9th November, 15:00

After a lively start to the season, Burnley have quickly slipped back down the Premier League table and now find themselves just four points above the bottom three. This is because they come into this game off the back of three straight defeats which would have taken a huge hit on the confidence of the players.

West Ham themselves have hit a rough patch and come into this one having been unable to win a match in their last five outings. Not only that, they are really struggling to score too many goals which will be a worry for the club, especially after splashing out a lot of money during the summer transfer window just gone.

A tight and scruffy encounter we can see this one being but are edging for the home side.

● Correct score prediction: Burnley 1 – 0 West Ham
● Odds: 7/1

Newcastle v Bournemouth

Kick-off: Gameweek 12, Saturday 9th November, 12:30

Newcastle have looked better in recent weeks and come into this one off the back of a draw and a win which has made their position on the table look a lot more promising. They’ll be hoping to maintain the recent form in this one and they’ll feel they have a very good chance with the way they are playing and the team they are up against.

However, although Bournemouth haven’t been winning much of late, they have only lost once in their last five games which has seen them climb to 7th in the table, a lot better than many would have put them at the beginning of the season. With the likes of King and Wilson up top, they pose a threat to any side in the league.

Two sides who are in a bit of form at the moment and for that reason, we can’t see anything between them.

● Correct score prediction: Newcastle 1 – 1 Bournemouth
● Odds: 8/1

Southampton v Everton

Kick-off: Gameweek 12, Saturday 9th November, 12:30

This is another massive game at the bottom of the Premier League with Southampton desperately needing three points here to keep themselves in close contact with the rest of the league. They’ll feel they have a very good chance if they can put on the same kind of display they did when they took on Manchester City away from home last weekend.

Everton had a day of mixed emotions last weekend with star player, Andrea Gomes, breaking his ankle in a game where they come from behind to rescue a point. Gomes has now had surgery and from what we have been told, it was successful. Everton will want to use that as motivation but we can’t see it being enough.

Southampton have been in pressure moments over the last couple of seasons and although this is early on, this is too. They always seem to do well under pressure which is what the Saints will be hoping for again here.

● Correct score prediction: Southampton 2 – 0 Everton
● Odds: 10/1

Tottenham v Sheffield United

Kick-off: Gameweek 12, Saturday 9th November, 12:30

Tottenham put behind them another disappointing Premier League result as they smashed Red Star Belgrade 4-0 away from home in the Champions League. They’ll hope they can build on that and finally start climbing up the Premier League table which is where a club like them should be with the quality they have in the squad.

Sheffield United have been the Premier Leagues surprise package so far this season with the team currently sitting in 6th position and coming into this match without a defeat in four. They also have the joint best defensive record which is unheard of for a club that has just been promoted to the English top flight.

Sheffield United will fancy themselves but we can’t see Tottenham struggling forever.

● Correct score prediction: Tottenham 1 – 0 Sheffield United
● Odds: 7/1

Leicester v Arsenal

Kick-off: Gameweek 12, Saturday 9th November, 17:30

Leicester are having yet another season to remember so far with the Foxes 3rd in the Premier League and really looking as if they can take on anyone in the league, Jamie Vardy is currently the league top goalscorer and the last time that happened, guess what happened? Leicester won the Premier League.

Arsenal boss Emery has been under a lot of criticism for the job he has done at Arsenal which means it could be coming to an end for his time at the club. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has picked up captaincy after Xhaka was stripped of that duty which could bring a new sense of optimism to the players.

Leicester have looked by far the better side out of these two this season and if they keep that up, they’ll win this game.

● Correct score prediction: Leicester 3 – 1 Arsenal
● Odds: 18/1

Manchester United v Brighton

Kick-off: Gameweek 12, Saturday 10th November, 14:00

Manchester United put on a good display at Old Trafford during the week, beating Partizan Belgrade in comfortable fashion. Mason Greenwood, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford all scored in the game showing the quality they have going forward and the problems they can cause from different sorts of players.

Brighton come into this game with three wins in there last four matches which has seen them climb above Manchester United. Into the top half of the table. They’ll be looking to maintain this good run they are currently on, but they’ll be well up against it, especially playing away from home which is where they tend to struggle the most.

A home win for us in this one although Brighton will have chances we think.

● Correct score prediction: Manchester United 1 – 0 Brighton
● Odds: 7/1

Wolves v Aston Villa

Kick-off: Gameweek 12, Saturday 10th November, 14:00

Wolves have started to make a habit of starting games very slowly, going behind in matches and then getting going in the second half and either rescuing points or going on to win matches. They’ll need to be much better here in this one but they haven’t lost a match in five showing they are doing something right.

Aston Villa come into this one having lost both of their last two matches which has seen them slip back down the table and towards the danger zone. They’ll be looking to get one over their midlands rivals here but they’ll know they need to play very well and take advantage of any slow start Watford may offer to them.

These two sides met at Villa Park in the cup a couple of weeks ago with Villa winnings. We can see this one being close again but ending as a draw.

● Correct score prediction: Wolves 1 – 1 Aston Villa
● Odds: 9/1

Liverpool v Manchester City

Kick-off: Gameweek 12, Saturday 10th November, 16:30

What a game this is to end the weekend. The two title challengers going head to head in what could be a decisive games, even with it being early on. Mane, Firmino and Salah are all fit and ready to go for Liverpool in this one which is a huge plus for the side. However, the defence has not been as strong this season which could be something City look to exploit.

City have had many defensive problems themselves this season with loads of injuries. They already find themselves six points behind Liverpool and they’ll know if they lose here and they go nine points behind, that is a huge number of points to make up even with a lot of weeks remaining.

We can see this being a very close encounter and we may even see signs of nerves with it being such a crucial game for the season. We can see Liverpool edging it and taking a big stride towards their first-ever Premier League trophy.

● Correct score prediction: Liverpool 2 – 1 Manchester City
● Odds: 10/1
