Spurs Vs Liverpool
Tottenham Hotspur saw their winning streak come to an end when they were held to a 2-2 draw at Swansea in Gameweek 8. Spurs sit 8th in the Premier League heading into their clash with Liverpool hoping to give Jurgen Klopp a debut to forget as Liverpool manager. The Reds head to London under new management following the departure of Brendan Rodgers. Chelsea lost their Gameweek 8 fixture when Southampton visited Stamford Bridge which was followed by a bizarre outburst from Jose Mourinho. The Chelsea boss is feeling the heat with his side 16th in the Premiership, 10 points adrift of the League leaders Manchester City. Aston Villa are in terrible form with four consecutive defeats and have shipped 8 goals in their last three outings on the road. Tim Sherwood is also under pressure and would love to pick up something from the trip to West London. Home win expected.
Crystal Palace Vs West Ham
Crystal Palace have secured back-to-back wins with two clean sheets to propel them up the table into a Top 4 berth heading into Gameweek 9. The Eagles are playing good football and have made Selhurst Park a tricky away trip for travelling sides. Alan Pardew has done a terrific job at Palace and deserves much credit. Everton Vs Manchester United
Everton picked up a share of the spoils from the Merseyside Derby when they were hoping for all 3 points. The Toffees are unbeaten in their last five Premier League fixtures and Goodison will be bouncing once again when Manchester United visit on Saturday. The Red Devils entered the International Break licking their wounds following a 3-0 thrashing at Arsenal on Sunday. Van Gaal’s side saw City and Arsenal leapfrog them in the standings and sit 3rd in the Premiership heading into Gameweek 9. Lukaku has found form for Everton and will be a big threat to United while Martial should lead the line for United. Score draw at Goodison.
Manchester City Vs Bournemouth
Manchester City went into the International Break brimming with confidence following their impressive 6-1 demolition of Newcastle United. Sergio Aguero bagged 5 goals in that game but picked up an injury on International Duty and is doubtful for this game along with Silva and Toure. Bournemouth have lost their last two Premier League games on the road and away trips don’t get much tougher than The Etihad. The Cherries could find themselves dragged down towards the bottom three if they lose on Saturday. Home win expected at The Etihad.
Southampton Vs Leicester
Southampton fans who made the away trip to Chelsea in Gameweek 8 will remember their sides 3-1 win for years to come. The Saints are back to winning ways with two consecutive 3-1 wins and will be looking to extend that sequence to three wins on the trot when they welcome Leicester City to the South Coast. The Foxes have been the surprise package of 2015 so far and sit 5th in the Premier League heading into Gameweek 9. Claudio Ranieri has done a terrific job thus far but must ensure his side maintain their impressive start. The Foxes are unbeaten away from home this Season but face a tall order at St Marys. The Baggies have the perfect opportunity to get back to winning ways when lowly Sunderland visit The Hawthorns. The Black Cats have appointed Sam Allardyce as manager following a disastrous start to the campaign which has seen them pick up just 3 points from a possible 24. Big Sam has it all to do if he is to salvage a grim looking situation in the North East. Home win expected at The Hawthorns.
Watford Vs Arsenal
Watford host Arsenal on Saturday evening hoping to upset their more fancied opponents. The Hornets were beaten infront of their own fans by Crystal Palace in Gameweek 7 and face an Arsenal side in great form and brimming with confidence following their 3-0 win over Manchester United. The Gunners took apart United early on and never looked in danger of losing their lead. Newcastle Vs Norwich
Newcastle United have had a disastrous start to the Season with their most recent defeat being a heavy 6-1 loss at Manchester City in Gameweek 8. Norwich are 6 points better off than their hosts heading into this game and will fancy their chances of taking at least a point from their trip to Tyneside.
