Tottenham Vs Chelsea
Tottenham host rivals Chelsea in the pick of the Gameweek 6 fixtures. Spurs won their last League match with a last minute Paulinho strike which moved them to joint top of the Barclays Premier League. AVB has guided his side to 4 wins out of a possible 5 and this could be a great season for Tottenham. Chelsea visit having beaten Fulham in Gameweek 5 to put two consecutive defeats behind them. The Blues are under pressure not to fall further behind the early pace-setters and would no doubt take a draw. Whoever wins this fixture will move to the top of the Premiership.
Prediction 2-1

Aston Villa Vs Manchester City
Aston Villa responded well toย the loss of star striker Christian Benteke as they beat to Norwich after the Belgian limped off on Saturday. Striker Kozak will partner Agbonlahor upfront to provide Villa’s attacking threat until Benteke returns from injury. Manchester City will be buzzing following their derby demolition of Manchester United. City played some tremendous football and most pundits were surprised that the margin of victory was not greater. If City can maintain that level of performance then Villa are in for a tough afternoon.
Prediction 0-2

Fulham Vs Cardiff
Fulham were undone at Stamford Bridge last time out but made Chelsea work hard for the points. The Cottagers have slipped into the Relegation Zone but things could have been very different had Darren Bent converted his golden chance against Petr Cech. Cardiff were cruelly beaten by a last minute Paulinho goal. That said, Spurs did dominate the game and only the heroics of Marshall between the sticks kept Cardiff in contention. An exciting score draw at Craven Cottage.
Prediction 1-1

Hull City Vs West Ham
Hull played out a very entertaining match at St James’ Park last week which they eventually won 3-2. Aluko and Brady were on top form and will hope to put pressure on a West Ham defence which conceded 3 goals in Gameweek 5. The Hammers were beaten by Everton at Upton Park and enter Gameweek 6 sitting 15th in the standings. West Ham skipper Mark Noble will sit this game out through suspension while Andy Carroll remains sidelined by injury. I predict a home victory.ย
Prediction 1-0

Manchester United Vs West Brom
Manchester United have endured a difficult start to the Premier League season as they bid to retain their title. A heavy defeat at Manchester City has seen United drop 5 points behind early leaders Arsenal and Spurs. Robin Van Persie missed the Derby and will hope to be fit in time for this fixture as United look to get back on track in the League. West Brom spanked Sunderland 3-0 on Saturday which saw them leap out of the Relegation Zone. Steve Clarke will be delighted that his side have recorded their first victory of the season and will try and build some momentum. Home win.
Prediction 3-1

Southampton Vs Crystal Palace
Southampton produced one of the shock results of Gameweek 5 when they went to Anfield and ended Liverpool’s unbeaten start to the season. Although Boruc made a string of fine saves Southampton held their own and deserved the 3 points. Crystal Palace lost 2-0 when Swansea visited Selhurst Park and are in the bottom 3 heading into Gameweek 6. The Eagles have a solitary victory from 5 matches and need to pick up points when they face lesser sides. Southampton are unbeaten at home and I expect that record to be extended.
Prediction 2-1

Swansea Vs Arsenal
Swansea host Arsenal on Saturday evening with both sides looking to extend unbeaten runs. Swansea have won 2 of their last 3 and are mid-table while The Gunners are top of the standings and looking for their 5th win on the trot in the Premier League. Michu and Dyer found the net last week and will want to test Arsenal’s defence. Mesut Ozil had a hand in all 3 Arsenal goals as he maintains his record of providing assists to team-mates. Theo Walcott will miss out through injury. Away win expected.
Prediction 0-2

Stoke City Vs Norwich
Stoke faced the unusual situation of conceding 3 goals from set-pieces on Sunday afternoon. The Potters are more accustomed to scoring from dead-ball situations than conceding and Mark Hughes will be keen to tighten things up at the back. Norwich were disappointed not to capitalise on Benteke’s absence on Saturday losing 1-0 to Aston Villa. The Canaries sit perilously in 17th place heading into Sunday and will be targeting at least a draw at The Britannia.
Prediction 1-1
———————————————————————————————————————————————————————–
Sunderland Vs Liverpool
Paolo Di Canio became the first managerial casualty of the season when Sunderland sacked the Italian on Sunday night. Di Canio’s aggressive style of management didn’t work with the Sunderland players who will be playing under caretaker boss Kevin Ball on Sunday afternoon. Anchored to the foot of the table Sunderland are facing an uphill struggle even at this early stage. Liverpool visit The Stadium of Light with Luis Suarez available. Liverpool lacked firepower last week and fired a blank against Southampton. Suarez and Sturridge to terrorise a fragile Sunderland defence.
Prediction 0-3

Everton Vs Newcastle
Monday Night Football returns as Everton welcome Newcastle to Goodison Park. The Toffees secured an impressive 3-2 victory at Upton Park last week. Leighton Baines and Lukaku were on target and moved Everton to an impressive 6th place heading into Gameweek 6. Newcastle United were unfortunate to lose against Hull last weekend. Loic Remy proved he is still a top striker bagging a brace despite being on the losing side. Everton are unbeaten at Goodison Park and I expect them to extend that statistic when the Magpies visit.
