Everton Vs Chelsea

Everton picked up a creditable point at White Hart Lane following a Man of the Match performance from goalkeeper Tim Howard. The Toffees sit 9th in the Premier League heading into their match against the reigning Champions who have had a troubled start to the Season. Chelsea were beaten by Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge and are nowhere near the form which saw them dominate the Premiership last term. Jose Mourinho signed Pedro which looks like shrewd business with Chelsea struggling. Goodison has been a tough place for Chelsea in recent years and we expect Chelsea to struggle once again on Saturday.

Prediction 2-1

Arsenal Vs Stoke

Arsenal have picked up seven points from a possible nine since their opening day defeat against West Ham United. The Gunners are well aware that they are often out of title contention by Christmas due to starting the Season slowly and must keep pace with high-flying Manchester City. Stoke have had a difficult start to the Season and sit in the Relegation Zone heading into Gameweek 5. The Potters who are usually very difficult to beat at home were beaten by West Brom in Gameweek 4 and face a tough trip to North London on Saturday. Norwich were well beaten when they visited Southampton in Gameweek 4 and could have no complaints about the 3-0 scoreline. The Canaries face Bournemouth on Saturday, a Club they were playing Championship Football with last Season. The Cherries picked up a share of the spoils last week with a 1-1 draw against Leicester City. With both sides tipped for Relegation a win for either team would be a huge morale boost. Watford Vs Swansea

Watford were beaten 2-0 by Premier League leaders Manchester City in Gameweek 4. The Hornets were dealt a tough run of games to start their Season and have done well to accumulate three points thus far. Swansea City are another very good side who will stretch Watford to the limit. The Swans go from strength to strength under Garry Monk and sit 4th in the Premiership heading into Gameweek 5 after an impressive 2-1 win over Manchester United before the International Break. Gomis is unplayable right now and Watford will struggle to contain the Swansea forward. Away win expected at Vicarage Road – Back a Swansea victory here.

Prediction 1-2

West Brom Vs Southampton

West Bromwich Albion picked up their first win of the Season with an impressive 0-1 away win at Stoke in Gameweek 4. Since then, Albion have made the news for the wrong reasons with forward Saido Berahino trying to force his way out of the Club only to be thwarted by West Brom Chairman Jeremy Peace. Southampton were thankful to lose no further players before Transfer Deadline Day and can build upon the solid start they have made to the Season. The Saints beat Norwich 3-0 which could open the floodgates as far as goal scoring is concerned. All square at The Hawthorns.

Prediction 1-1

Saturday’s Premier League fixtures come to a close with a mouth-watering clash between rivals Manchester United and Liverpool. David De Gea could be recalled following the collapse of his move to Real Madrid on Transfer Deadline Day. Liverpool make the short trip to Old Trafford following their shock 0-3 defeat at Anfield in Gameweek 4. Brendan Rodgers’ side are level on points with their hosts and would probably be content with a draw. Home win expected at Old Trafford – Back a Manchester United victory here.

Sunderland Vs Spurs

Sunderland remain rooted to the foot of the Premier League despite the 2-2 draw at Aston Villa in Gameweek 4. The Black Cats face an out of sorts Spurs side hoping to capitalise on the slow start made by their opponents. Jermain Defoe will play against his old side hoping to find the net. Spurs are without a win in 4 Premier League matches this Season and have only scored once in their last two fixtures. Harry Kane found the net for England during the International Break and Spurs fans will hope that England form will carry over to Club level. Stalemate expected at The Stadium of Light – Back a draw here.

Leicester City have been the surprise package of the Season so far following their last-ditch survival last term. The Foxes have been excellent under the guidance of Claudio Ranieri and will be looking to add another three points to their tally when Aston Villa visit on Sunday. The Villains picked up a point in Gameweek 4 and were relieved not to lose three matches on the spin. Mahrez who has been among the goals is doubtful for this clash while Scott Sinclair will be hoping to follow up his Gameweek 4 performance. Home win expected at The King Power Stadium .

West Ham Vs Newcastle

West Ham United fans who made the long trip to Anfield will never forget their side’s 3-0 away win. The Hammers have now beaten Arsenal and Liverpool this Season and will fancy their chances when facing the top sides. Slaven Bilic added Alex Song and Victor Moses on Transfer Deadline day which adds midfield options. Newcastle United have taken just two points from their opening four Fixtures. The Magpies have problems to solve as they have yet to score a goal in any of their last three outings. Adrian remains suspended for West Ham.
