Norwich Vs West Ham

Norwich battled back from a goal down to secure a creditable point at White Hart lane before the International fixtures. After losing 5-0 on the opening day, Norwich have secured two 1-1 draws in a row. Chris Hughton will hope the Canaries can bag their first win of the season when West Ham make the trip to Norfolk. The Hammers will be without Andy Carroll due to a hamstring problem. West Ham have won both home fixtures but lost in their only fixture away from Upton Park.

Prediction 1-1

Arsenal Vs Southampton

Arsenal finally managed to find their shooting boots in their third game of the season. Two of Arsenal’s summer acquisitions Podolski and Cazorla both found the net at Anfield. That was enough to secure 3 points and take the Gunners to eight in the early standings. The visit of Southampton should give Arsenal the opportunity to notch up their second victory in a row. Southampton were desperately unlucky not to get at least a point following the visit of Manchester United. Twice they have led 2-1 against Manchester’s top clubs only to be defeated 3-2. Lambert will be looking to continue his impressive early form against a suspect Arsenal defence.

Prediction 2-1

Aston Villa Vs Swansea

Aston Villa fans have had a miserable start to the season and have only seen their side muster a single point in 3 fixtures. Villa will be hoping that home advantage will help them in their bid to record a win for the first time this season. Unfortunately for Villa, Swansea have started the season extremely well and have scored 10 goals in 3 games. Two victories and a draw leaves Swansea in 2nd place heading into Gameweek 4. New signing Michu will want to prolong his record of scoring in every Gameweek so far.

Prediction 2-1

Fulham Vs West Brom

Since their opening day 5-0 demolition of Norwich, Fulham have failed to pick up any further points. Having lost two key players in Dempsey and Dembele I predict a long and difficult campaign for Martin Jol’s team. Craven Cottage is a difficult place to visit and home form will be key to keeping Fulham out of danger this year. West Brom have started life under Steve Clarke in impressive fashion. Victories over Liverpool and Everton and a draw at White Hart Lane leaves The Baggies in 3rd place.

Prediction 1-1

Man United Vs Wigan

Robin van Persie scored a brilliant hat-trick to spare his blushes at Southampton in Gameweek 3. A poorly taken penalty looked like it would cost Manchester United dear until RVP scored 2 late goals to earn an important away win. In the continued absence of Wayne Rooney, the goal scoring burden will once again be on the Dutchman. Wigan have had an encouraging start to the season. Roberto Martinez will be satisfied with a tally of 4 points from 3 games including the visit of European Champions Chelsea. I don’t expect Wigan to leave Old Trafford with any additional points on Saturday afternoon.

Prediction 3-0

QPR Vs Chelsea

Loftus Road is likely to host a fiery encounter when London rivals Chelsea visit on Saturday afternoon. Rangers have struggled early in the season due to a large number of new recruits who will take time to gel as a unit. QPR beat Chelsea in the corresponding fixture last year, a result which was overshadowed by alleged racist abuse. Chelsea currently sit top of the pile with a perfect record of 3 wins from 3. Chelsea fans will be hoping to make it 12 points from 4 matches.

Prediction 1-1

Stoke Vs Man City

Stoke have maintained their reputation as a team who are difficult to beat – They have drawn all 3 of the opening fixtures. The Potters have also signed Michael Owen who could once again prove to be a thorn in the side of visitors Manchester City. Mancini’s men have picked up 7 points from their opening matches but have had a generous slice of luck on the way. Away trips will not come more difficult than a visit to the Britannia.

Prediction 1-1

Sunderland Vs Liverpool

Due to a waterlogged pitch at The Stadium of Light, Sunderland have only played two league games this season. Their third fixture sees them welcome a team who seem a little vulnerable at present – Liverpool. Brendan Rodgers will need to try and lift the morale of his players following a disappointing defeat to Arsenal at Anfield. Liverpool never really looked a threat in that match and will need to improve significantly if they want to leave Sunderland with any points.

Prediction 2-1

Reading Vs Tottenham

Reading have had plenty of time to prepare for this fixture with their last league fixture being a 4-2 defeat at Chelsea on August 22nd. Fans at the Madejski will be pleased to see their side back in action following the prolonged absence of football. Tottenham have struggled to hit the ground running following the arrival of their new manager. AVB needs to kick-start Spurs campaign with a victory here.

Prediction 1-1

Everton Vs Newcastle

Everton have started the season well which has been unusual for them in recent campaigns. Wins over Manchester United and Aston Villa leave them in 6th place and 5 points better off than arch rivals Liverpool. Newcastle have also got off to an encouraging start with a win over Tottenham and a spirited fightback to claim a point against Villa. Alan Pardew was able to retain all of his star names during the transfer window and will hope The Geordies can repeat the heroics of last season.

Prediction 2-1
