Cardiff’s stay in the Premier League has been a short one. After dismissing Malky Mackay mid-season The Bluebirds have paid the ultimate price. Vincent Tan must shoulder responsibility for the current situation brought about by his insistence that Mackay was not doing a good job. Chelsea have guaranteed themselves a Top 3 finish and could even leapfrog Liverpool should they lose against Newcastle. Jose Mourinho will already be planning for next season having publicly lamented his striking options. Chelsea to coast to victory in South Wales.

Fulham Vs Crystal Palace
Fulham host their final Premier League game for the forseeable future and who knows when they might return to the top flight. The Cottagers were unable to secure the necessary points to keep them in the Divison and will play Championship football next term. Their opponents on Sunday looked certain to join them when Tony Pulis took over from Ian Holloway at Selhurst Park. The Eagles’ turnaround has been magnificent and Pulis is a contender for Manager of the Season for the job he has done at Palace. Fulham have nothing but pride to play for at Craven Cottage. Score draw.

Hull City Vs Everton
Hull City host their final game of the season knowing that they can look forward to another campaign in the top flight kicking off in August. Steve Bruce did a steady job in securing survival but the margins of success were tighter than most Hull fans would have hoped for. Everton have missed out on a Champions League berth following a run of disappointing results in recent weeks. The Toffees have lost 3 of their last 4 matches to guarantee Arsenal the coveted 4th spot. Roberto Martinez will want to end the season on a high note and add to Everton’s record points tally.

Liverpool Vs Newcastle
Liverpool have thrown away a golden opportunity to bag their first Premier League title in over 20 years. The Reds had one hand on the trophy following their win over Manchester City at Anfield. Subsequent to the famous huddle orchestrated by Steven Gerrard, Liverpool were beaten by Chelsea and threw away a 3-0 lead at Crystal Palace. Newcastle cannot wait to get through this match and begin planning for next term. A disastrous 2014 has seen Newcastle struggle with the home fans staging a protest at St James’ Park last weekend. A top 10 finish should keep Alan Pardew in employment but improvements will be expected next season. Home win to put pressure on Manchester City.
Prediction 3-0

West Ham have little to play for besides pride and have been poor away from home this season. Big Sam faces a Summer of rebuilding and reportedly may lose control over incoming transfers following some high profile flops. City to bag the title in style.

The Gunners are in good form and have won their last 4 matches both home and away in the Premier League.
