Southampton Vs Everton

Southampton host Top 4 hopefuls Everton to kick off Gameweek 36 of the Premier League Season. The Saints are in poor form by their high standards and have not won in their last three outings. Home form has been mixed of late with two wins and two defeats in their last four at St Mary’s. Everton are pushing Arsenal right to the wire for the final Champions League berth. The Toffees bounced back from a surprise defeat to beat Manchester United 2-0 at Goodison Park last weekend. Roberto Martinez has guided his team to 3 consecutive wins away from home and I expect that run to be extended.

Prediction 1-2

Fulham Vs Hull City

Fulham sit in the Relegation Zone heading into Gameweek 36 but know that a win could move them out of the drop zone depending on results elsewhere. The Cottagers have given themselves hope of survival with two crucial wins over Norwich and Aston Villa before losing at Spurs. Hull visit West London six points clear of the Drop Zone and surely safe from relegation if they can pick up a win in their remaining fixtures. The Tigers have been beaten by both Stoke and West Ham on the road lately and would no doubt settle for a draw to ensure that Fulham are not able to gain any ground on them. Score draw.

Prediction 1-1

Stoke Vs Tottenham

Stoke have enjoyed a good campaign under Mark Hughes and sit comfortably in the top half of the Premier League while other clubs sweat over their future in the top flight. The Potters have been in excellent form at home, winning four on the bounce while conceding just one goal in the process. Spurs visit The Britannia following an important 3-1 win over Fulham at White Hart Lane. It seems inevitable that Tim Sherwood will be replaced in the Summer having failed to get Spurs into the Top 4 this season. Stoke to extend their excellent run of form at home.

Prediction 1-0

Swansea Vs Aston Villa

Swansea gave themselves some breathing space from the Relegation Zone with a late winner at St James’ Park last weekend. The Swans sit 13th in the table and one more victory will surely get them over the line to play Premier League football next term. Aston Villa visit South Wales in a dreadful run of form which has seen them pick up just one point from a possible fifteen. The Villains are struggling for goals without the injured Benteke and need more points to guarantee safety. I expect Swansea to pick up a vital win at The Liberty Stadium.

Prediction 2-0

West Brom Vs West Ham

West Brom are flirting with relegation sitting just three points above Cardiff in 18th place. The Baggies are the masters of the draw at home and have drawn five of their last six at The Hawthorns. West Ham United have all but secured Premier League football for next term but worryingly have lost three in a row to leave them stranded on 37 points. The Hammers require a few extra points to be mathematically safe and will eye the trip to West Brom as an opportunity to gain points. Score draw at The Hawthorns.

Prediction 1-1

Manchester United Vs Norwich

Manchester United begin life without David Moyes as they host Norwich at Old Trafford. Ryan Giggs will take charge until the end of the Season looking to give United fans some positive results to cheer about. The final straw for Moyes came as his side were well beaten at Goodison Park last weekend. The Red Devils have won just one of their last three at Old Trafford and will hope for an immediate response under new management. The Canaries have been in dreadful form and have also opted for a change in management in an attempt to keep them in the Premier League. Norwich have lost four on the bounce and despite United’s patchy form I do not expect them to get anything from Old Trafford.

Prediction 2-0

Sunderland Vs Cardiff City

Sunderland have given themselves hope of pulling off a miracle. Had Mannone kept out Samir Nasri’s weak shot at The Etihad Sunderland could be sitting 18th in the table instead of bottom heading into Gameweek 36. The Black Cats could move level on points with Norwich if they pick up a vital win here. Cardiff City have picked up 4 points from their last two matches to give themselves hope of beating the drop too. The Bluebirds beat Southampton away from home which will give them additional belief they can get a win in the North East. Backed by a vocal home crowd and with Connor Wickham in good form I expect Sunderland to win this one.

Prediction 2-1

Liverpool Vs Chelsea

Liverpool fans will be counting down and looking forward to this huge match which could almost confirm Liverpool as Premier League winners this season. The Reds have won 11 matches on the trot to sit 5 points clear of Chelsea heading into this fixture. The Reds may be without Daniel Sturridge who has a knock while Jordan Henderson is suspended. Chelsea have suffered costly defeats including an unexpected slip up against Sunderland last week. Chelsea held out for a 0-0 draw at Athletico Madrid mid-week and Mourinho hinted that he may rest a number of players for this clash as he does not believe Chelsea can catch Liverpool. Petr Cech and John Terry are definitely out while Eden Hazard may be rested to recover more fully for the Champions League. Home win expected.

Prediction 3-0

Crystal Palace Vs Manchester City

Crystal Palace manager Tony Pulis would probably win the Manager of The Season award if Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers was not performing even greater miracles at Anfield. The Eagles were looking like a safe bet to be playing Championship Football next season until Pulis turned things around. Palace have now won 5 in a row and could break into the Top 10 with a win on Sunday. Manchester City bounced back after two disappointing results with a 3-1 win over West Brom on Monday Night Football. City need to win all their games and hope Liverpool slip up before the end of the season if they are to win the title. Score draw at Selhurst Park to put Liverpool in pole position to win the Premier League.

Prediction 1-1

Arsenal Vs Newcastle United

Arsenal are in a dogfight with Everton over the final Champions League spot for next Season. The Gunners have bounced back strongly having lost 3-0 at Goodison Park while seeing Everton slip up against Crystal Palace in Gameweek 34. Aaron Ramsey scored last week and his return is a huge boost to Arsene Wenger with such important games looming. Newcastle lost yet again when Swansea snatched a late winner at St James’ Park. The Magpies have had little to cheer about since the start of 2014 and there are calls for Alan Pardew to leave the Club following a sequence of five consecutive defeats. Home win expected at The Emirates.

Prediction 2-0
