Everton Vs Crystal Palace

Everton overcame a stubborn Sunderland side to move into the Top 4 on Saturday evening. The Toffees are in with a great chance of landing Champions League football next term if they maintain their current form. Crystal Palace make the trip North following an impressive 1-0 win of their own over Aston Villa. The Eagles have accumulated 37 points and are surely guaranteed Premier League football next term. Tony Pulis has done an excellent job at Selhurst Park and deserves tremendous credit for the turnaround in Palace’s fortunes. Home win to keep Everton in pole position for a Top 4 finish.

Manchester City Vs Sunderland

Manchester City continued their poor run of form at Anfield and lost 3-2 to their title rivals. Manuel Pelligrini will be without the services of Yaya Toure who limped off on Sunday and may have played his last match for City this season. Sunderland look doomed to relegation following their loss at home to Everton on Saturday. The Black Cats went down 1-0 courtesy of a Wes Brown own goal and now need a miracle to retain their place in the Premier League. Trailing Liverpool by 7 points this is a must win game for City and I expect them to deliver at The Etihad.

Crystal Palace Vs Aston Villa

Crystal Palace recorded what could be a priceless win away at Cardiff last weekend to leave them 7 points clear of the Drop Zone heading into Gameweek 34. The Eagles have been in good form at home and have won 4 of their last 6 matches including a memorable 1-0 win over Chelsea. Aston Villa make the journey South having suffered a slump in their form which has seen them lose three consecutive Premier League matches. The Villains will be without their star forward Christian Benteke who sits this match out through injury. Palace to take the roof off Selhurst Park with a win which will all but guarantee their status in the Premier League.

Fulham Vs Norwich

Fulham picked up an excellent 2-1 win at Aston Villa last Gameweek and will look to back that result up when Norwich visit Craven Cottage on Saturday. The Cottagers are 5 points from safety and this will be considered a must win game if Fulham are to retain their top flight status. Norwich visit West London having relieved Chris Hughton as manager. The Canaries are currently 17th but have a torrid run of fixtures between now and the end of the season which could see them drop into the Relegation Zone. Stalemate at Craven Cottage.

Prediction 1-1

Southampton Vs Cardiff City

Southampton fans have enjoyed a memorable campaign and will be looking forward to next season in the Premier League. Home form has been key for Southampton and they have lost just one of their last six outings at St Marys. Cardiff are in all sorts of trouble at the wrong end of the table and look like prime candidates to be playing Championship football next season. The Bluebirds woes were compounded last weekend when they were beaten by Crystal Palace at home. Comfortable home win expected on the South Coast.

Prediction 3-0

Stoke Vs Newcastle United

Stoke City sit 10th in the Premier League and Mark Hughes has done a good job this season at The Britannia. The Potters have won four of their last five at home and are extremely difficult to beat on their own patch. Newcastle United have been battered in recent weeks losing three on the trot, conceding eleven goals and scoring zero in the process. The Magpies look like a safe bet to finish in the top half of the Division but would love to finish the season with a string of positive results. Home win expected at The Britannia.

Sunderland Vs Everton

Sunderland manager Gus Poyet admitted that his side now need a miracle to avoid relegation this season. The Black Cats were taken apart by a clinical Tottenham side on Monday Night Football and lost 5-1. By contrast, Everton are flying high and pushing for a Champions League berth for next season. Roberto Martinez has worked wonders on Merseyside and The Toffees have won six on the bounce including two matches on the road. With Arsenal not in action this weekend I expect Everton to move into 4th place.

Prediction 1-3

West Brom Vs Tottenham

West Brom have seen an improvement in their form which has given them a good chance of retaining their place in the Premier League. The Baggies have lost just one of their last six at The Hawthorns but have failed to pick up a victory in those games. Tottenham bounced back from their heavy defeat against Liverpool with an impressive 5-1 win against Sunderland on Monday Night Football. It is widely rumoured that Tim Sherwood will be surplus to requirements next season and the Spurs manager will want to end his tenure on a positive note. Tottenham have lost three on the bounce away from home and West Brom will hope to extend that losing sequence. All square at The Hawthorns.

Prediction 1-1

Liverpool Vs Manchester City

Super Sunday kicks off at Anfield with the two leading title contenders facing off. Liverpool have been on a tremendous run of form at just the right time of the season and sit top of the table heading into Gameweek 34. Brendan Rodgers has done an excellent job of keeping feet on the ground but there is genuine belief that this could be Liverpool’s year. Manchester City will win the title if they win all their games between now and the end of the season but this will be a huge test for Manuel Pelligrini’s side. I suspect City would settle for a draw but Liverpool know that a victory puts them in pole position to win the title.

Prediction 2-1

Swansea Vs Chelsea

Swansea City were beaten at Hull in Gameweek 33 and are yet to secure their place in the Premier League for next season as they sit 15th in the standings. The Swans home form has been good of late losing just one of their last five matches on home turf. Chelsea visit South Wales having booked their place in the Semi Final of the Champions League. Eden Hazard limped off early at Stamford Bridge and is unlikely to feature at The Liberty Stadium. Chelsea need a win to keep pace with either Liverpool or City depending on the earlier result at Anfield. Away win expected.

Prediction 1-3

Arsenal Vs West Ham

Arsenal fans are fearing that a season which looked so promising could end with their side slipping out of the Top 4. Although through to the FA Cup Final, The Gunners have struggled in the Premier League and crashed out of Europe. A costly defeat at Everton last week means that Arsene Wenger could see his residency in the Champions League come to an end for the 2014/2015 campaign. West Ham have done well to guarantee themselves a place in the top division next season despite missing Andy Carroll for large chunks of the season through injury. The Hammers have won two of their last three but will struggle to leave The Emirates with anything as Arsenal look to get their Top 4 push back on track.
