Arsenal came back from 1-0 down to snatch an exciting late victory when Norwich visited The Emirates on Saturday. The Gunners have jumped into 3rd in the standings and will hope to extend their lead over Spurs and Chelsea who do not play on Tuesday evening. Everton were deserving winners when QPR visited Goodison Park. The Toffees have moved 3 points behind Tottenham as they play their second match of Gameweek 33. Another home win would put Arsenal in pole position for a Top 4 finish.

Manchester City Vs Wigan
Manchester City avoided a Premier League fixture this weekend as they faced Chelsea in the FA Cup Semi Final at Wembley. The FA Cup remains City’s only chance of silverware this term but Roberto Mancini seems secure in his employment and will lead City in their quest for glory next campaign. Wigan were also in FA Cup action at the weekend and booked their place in the Final coincidentally against Manchester City. The Latics sit in the bottom 3 and are desperate for points with remaining fixtures running out fast. Unfortunately, I cannot see Wigan leaving The Etihad with any points.

West Ham Vs Manchester United
West Ham United pocketed a valuable point at St Marys in their last match on Saturday. That draw moved Big Sam’s side to 38 points and surely a comfortable distance from relegation. Manchester United avoided back to back league defeats by defeating Stoke in ruthless fashion. The Red Devils are on course for title number twenty and Fergie will hope that RVP will find the net again after ending his ‘drought’ with a penalty at Stoke. Away win here which will put United on the verge of the Championship.

Fulham Vs Chelsea
Fulham welcome West London rivals Chelsea to Craven Cottage on Wednesday evening. The Cottagers have won their last two League matches at home and Chelsea will have their work cut out if they are to maintain their challenge for Champions League football next term. The Blues were defeated by Manchester City in the FA Cup Semi Final but have booked their place in the last four of the Europa League. Rafa Benitez must ensure that his side are fully focused on League commitments at Fulham.

Arsenal did very well to secure a 2-1 victory in their previous match despite going down to 10 men. The Gunners have really excelled in recent weeks and have won 5 of their last 6 league matches. Norwich secured a point in their 2-2 draw with Swansea in Gameweek 32. The Canaries are still only 4 points clear of the relegation zone and will need another 6 points or so to ensure their survival. Can see this being a comfortable home victory putting Arsenal back into third.

Aston Villa Vs Fulham
Aston Villa have produced some inspired form to move themselves out of the relegation zone. Their record of 3 wins from their last 4 games has seen Paul Lambert’s team move to 16th in the table. Villa welcome Fulham on Saturday afternoon hoping to put further distance between themselves and the bottom three. Fulham have travelled reasonably well of late and managed a victory at White Hart Lane. As such, I can see this match ending in a draw.

Everton Vs QPR
Everton were disappointed not to hang on to their winning position at White Hart Lane on Sunday despite leading 2-1. The Toffees were forced to settle for a draw which kept them in 6th place – 3 points clear of Liverpool. QPR were denied a crucial victory by Maloney’s late penalty at Loftus Road. Had Harry Redknapp’s team collected all 3 points it would have put them right back in with a chance of staying up. Unfortunately for Rangers, Everton are very solid at home and I cannot see anything but a home victory.

Reading Vs Liverpool
Reading look destined for the drop following their disappointing defeat against Southampton in Gameweek 32. The Royals are rooted to the bottom of the League table and surely there is no way back for them now. Liverpool were frustrated when West Ham visited Anfield and they were unable to break down a resolute Hammers defence. Luis Suarez was unable to find the breakthrough he often does and Liverpool currently occupy 7th place in the Standings. Liverpool have won 2 of their last 3 away matches and could make it 3 out of 4 at The Madejski.

Southampton Vs West Ham
Southampton recorded a priceless win over their former manager Nigel Adkins who is now manager at Reading. The Saints sit 11th in the table on 37 points and have no further relegation woes. Should Southampton win on Saturday they will reach the milestone of 40 points which should guarantee their top flight status. West Ham worked their socks off to keep Liverpool at bay on Sunday afternoon. Another challenging afternoon awaits at St Marys. Score draw expected.

Newcastle welcome Sunderland to St James’ Park for a crucial derby match which could have huge implications for Sunderland’s survival.
