Manchester United Vs Aston Villa

Manchester United fans once again left Old Trafford having been humbled 3-0 by an arch rival. David Moyes needs to sort things out before the discontent at Old Trafford turns into a mutiny. The Red Devils sit 7th in the table and are without a win in 3 home Premier League matches. Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert conceded his side were second best as Stoke thrashed them 4-1 at Villa Park. The Villains have had a good campaign overall but will be keen to finish on a high note. Anything can happen but I expect a narrow United win.

Crystal Palace Vs Chelsea

Crystal Palace welcome title challengers Chelsea to Selhurst Park hoping to avoid their third consecutive Premier League defeat on home turf. The Eagles had put together a good run of form at home winning 3 on the bounce which has seen them climb out of the drop zone. Chelsea were ruthless against Arsenal and won 6-0 at Stamford Bridge on Saturday. Jose Mourinho is well aware that his side cannot afford any slipups if they are to have any chance of lifting the trophy in May. Willian is available for selection having served his suspension in the Arsenal game while Samuel Eto’ will sit this out through injury. Away win expected.

Prediction 1-3

Southampton Vs Newcastle

Southampton and Newcastle have both enjoyed good campaigns thus far and are almost certain of finishing in the top half of the Premier League. The Saints went 2-0 up at White Hart Lane but ended up conceding in stoppage time to leave North London empty handed. Newcastle were well beaten in their last fixture against Everton at St James’ Park. Alan Pardew continues to serve his ban and will not be visiting his former Club on Saturday. Score draw at St Marys.

Prediction 1-1

Stoke Vs Hull City

Stoke recorded an excellent 4-1 win at Aston Villa in Gameweek 31 and sit in 10th place in the Premier League heading into their clash with Hull City. The Potters have been in excellent form at home winning 3 of their last 4 fixtures at The Britannia. Hull should be clear of any relegation woes thanks to their win over West Brom but could not follow that result up with another win at West Ham midweek. Steve Bruce would love to see his side pick up a point from this match. Home win expected.

Prediction 1-0

Swansea Vs Norwich

Swansea City have been in freefall lately but managed to pick up an unlikely point from their trip to The Emirates on Tuesday evening. The Swans are deep in the relegation dogfight and this match against Norwich could see the Swans move 8 points clear of the drop zone depending on results elsewhere. Norwich have picked up 4 points from their last 3 Premier League outings and sit above their hosts heading into Gameweek 32. The Canaries will be determined to avoid defeat to ensure Swansea do not leapfrog them in the table. Spoils shared.

Prediction 1-1

West Brom Vs Cardiff

West Brom face Cardiff in a huge Relegation 6-pointer at The Hawthorns on Saturday. The Baggies had remarkably drawn 1-1 in 4 home matches on the trot against Everton, Liverpool, Chelsea and Fulham before being beaten by Manchester United. West Brom sit 16th heading into Gameweek 32 compared to Cardiff in 19th. The Bluebirds were hit for 6 by Liverpool despite scoring 3 goals of their own and leading early on. Cardiff have struggled on the road and have picked up just 1 victory in 5 attempts away from home. West Brom to give their survival hopes a huge boost.

Prediction 1-0

Arsenal Vs Manchester City

Arsenal welcome Manchester City to The Emirates hoping to stop their season unravelling. The Gunners have gone from title hopefuls to potentially missing out on a Top 4 finish having picked up a single point in two matches. Arsenal fans will demand a response against City having seen two points dropped against Swansea midweek. Manchester City travel to London brimming with confidence following their 3-0 Derby win at Old Trafford. The Sky Blues are in great form and have kept clean sheets in all of their last 5 Premier League outings. A tall order for Arsenal and I expect City to take a huge step towards the title with a crucial win in North London.

Prediction 1-2

Fulham Vs Everton

Fulham are running out of time to retain their status in the Premier League. The Cottagers are four points adrift at the foot of the table and each passing match gives their fans less hope of avoiding relegation. Fulham recorded a big win over Newcastle in their last home outing and will look to claim another scalp when Everton visit West London. The Toffees are still in with a shout of a Top 4 finish although they will likely require maximum points to reach that objective. Roberto Martinez has masterminded a great season thus far and a European berth for next term would be well deserved at Goodison Park. All square at Craven Cottage.

Prediction 1-1

Liverpool Vs Tottenham

Liverpool are the dark horses for the Premier League title this season. The Reds did enough to overcome Sunderland in midweek and keep the pressure on Chelsea and Manchester City. With both other title contenders still to visit Anfield there is optimism on The Kop that this could be Liverpool’s season and they have won seven on the bounce in the Premier League. Tottenham staged a remarkable comeback to beat Southampton 3-2 at White Hart Lane despite being 2-0 down. Spurs have lost their last two away from home and I expect that run to extend to a third game when they visit Anfield on Sunday.

Prediction 2-0

Sunderland Vs West Ham

Monday Night Football sees Sunderland face West Ham with The Black Cats in desperate need of points to avoid the drop. Gus Poyet’s side are three points adrift of safety and need to pick up points urgently if they are to play top flight football next season. West Ham seem to have done enough to cement their place in the Premier League thanks to an important win over Hull on Wednesday evening. Strangely, the West Ham fans were unimpressed with the performance despite their side picking up a crucial 3 points and booed their side off the field at the final whistle. West Ham have lost two in a row on the road and I expect Sunderland to take a big step towards survival with a victory on Monday night.
