Manchester City Vs Hull City

Manchester City sit 7th in the Table heading into Gameweek 3 following their surprising defeat at Cardiff. The Blues will be looking to make ground on early leaders Chelsea who will not feature in Premier League action due to European Super Cup commitments. Edin Dzeko has begun the season brightly and will be looking to get on the scoresheet again following a fine strike last week. Hull fought hard last week to get off the mark with a 1-0 win over Norwich. The Tigers have been unlucky to have away trips to Chelsea and Manchester City in the first 3 Gameweeks. I predict a comfortable home win at The Etihad.

Prediction 4-1

Cardiff City Vs Everton

Cardiff City are brimming with confidence following their thrilling win over Manchester City last weekend. Fraizer Campbell was the toast of his former club Manchester United for putting one over on the Noisy Neighbours. Everton have only managed two draws in their opening fixtures and will be looking to register their first League victory under Roberto Martinez. The Toffees had the better of proceedings against West Brom but were unable to find the net. Third consecutive draw for Everton expected.

Prediction 1-1

Newcastle Vs Fulham

Newcastle United were held to a goalless draw when West Ham visited the North East in Gameweek 2. The Geordies are without a goal in two matches and need to find their shooting boots as a matter of urgency. Fulham beat Sunderland on the road on their last trip North and will be hoping to take advantage of Newcastle’s lack of form. The Cottagers lost heavily against Arsenal and will be keen to put things right on Saturday afternoon. I predict an away win which will see pressure grow on Alan Pardew to make signings before Transfer Deadline Day.

Prediction 0-1

Norwich Vs Southampton

Norwich left Hull empty handed last weekend and will hope the visit of Southampton will allow them to add to their single point recorded thus far. The Canaries new strike force fired a blank last week and more will be expected of the front men on Saturday. The Saints have had an encouraging start to the season and will go into this match full of confidence as they are currently unbeaten. I predict an entertaining draw at Carrow Road.

Prediction 1-1

West Ham Vs Stoke

West Ham United kick off Gameweek 3 in 5th place in the standings and Big Sam will be delighted with the way his side have defended in their opening fixtures. Two consecutive clean sheets means West Ham’s defence has yet to be breached. Stoke visit Upton Park on the back of a 2-1 win over Crystal Palace at The Britannia. Shawcross and Adam got the goals last weekend but Mark Hughes has yet to find the net courtesy of a forward player. Narrow home win expected.

Prediction 1-0

Crystal Palace Vs Sunderland

Crystal Palace are joint bottom of the table without a point from their opening two fixtures. The Eagles have yet to find their feet but have been unfortunate to play two very tough games in consecutive weeks. The visit of Sunderland could provide Palace with the opportunity they need to get some points on the board. The Black Cats bounced back from an opening day defeat to grab a share of the spoils at Southampton. Paolo Di Canio will see this as a game his charges can win and will be hoping to bag all three points. Score draw.

Prediction 1-1

Liverpool Vs Manchester United

Super Sunday kicks off with a mouth watering clash at Anfield. Eternal rivals Manchester United make the short journey to Liverpool and will be hoping to end Liverpool’s unbeaten start to the campaign. The Reds have done well to keep two clean sheets on route to 1-0 victories so far but will be tested more thoroughly by United. David Moyes has acquired 4 points from his opening two Premier League matches at the helm of Manchester United and is very familiar with being unpopular in the away dugout at Anfield. Wayne Rooney impressed against Chelsea and will be keen to find the net against Liverpool.

Prediction 1-2
———————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

West Brom Vs Swansea

West Bromwich Albion are yet to score a goal this Premier League season and will need to improve their play in the final third of the field. The Baggies have failed to replace the departed Lukaku and Nicolas Anelka may miss out once again due to personal reasons. Swansea find themselves rock bottom of the table heading into Gameweek 3. The Swans have been busy featuring in Europa League encounters which may have distracted their focus on domestic commitments. Michu has yet to recapture the form he showed last season and new signing Bony may play from the start at The Hawthorns. Goalless draw.

Prediction 0-0

Arsenal Vs Tottenham

Super Sunday continues as Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur lock horns in the North London derby. Arsenal will be delighted that they no longer have to face Gareth Bale in these fixtures provided the Welshman completes his move to Real Madrid. The Gunners will be without Lucas Podolski who is a long-term casualty with a hamstring problem. While Spurs may be without Gareth Bale, they have a host of new signings who will sample their first taste of the North London Derby. Roberto Soldado is the key man for Spurs and he will be looking for his 3rd goal in 3 Premier League starts. Spurs to pile the pressure on Arsene Wenger with an away win at The Emirates.

Prediction 1-2
