Chelsea Vs West Brom

Chelsea have slipped to fourth in the Premier League following their defeat at Manchester City in Gameweek 27. The Blues really need to up their game with Arsenal loitering just two points behind them. West Brom are looking for their third win on the bounce following their victories over Liverpool and Sunderland in recent weeks. The home faithful will be scathing towards Rafa Benitez should they see anything but a comfortable victory at Stamford Bridge.

Prediction 3-0

Everton Vs Reading

Everton are without a win in three matches and welcome Reading to Goodison Park hoping to put an end to their dip in form. David Moyes has done a tremendous job so far this season and The Toffees are still in with a shout of landing Champions League football. Reading are in danger of losing their third match on the trot and remain in the bottom three heading into Gameweek 28. The Royals need a special performance to claim three points here.

Prediction 2-1

Manchester United Vs Norwich

Manchester United are looking extremely comfortable at the summit of the Premier League. The Red Devils are 12 points clear with just 11 matches to go and the title is surely heading back to Old Trafford. RVP could miss this match after picking up a bizarre injury at Loftus Road. Norwich recorded a crucial home victory over Everton last weekend and that result will have done The Canaries the world of good. 32 points on the board with 11 matches to go, Norwich seem to have secured Premier League football next season.

Prediction 3-0

Southampton Vs QPR

A huge relegation 6-pointer takes place at St Mary’s on Saturday afternoon. The Saints are currently 3 points clear off the drop zone and could sit on 30 points should they beat QPR this weekend. Rangers are in massive trouble and are 7 points adrift of 17th place Wigan. This will be classified as a ‘must win’ game for Harry Redknapp if Rangers are to avoid the drop this season. I predict a draw which won’t get QPR out of their predicament.

Prediction 1-1

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-
Stoke Vs West Ham

Stoke were unable to improve their away record when they travelled to Fulham in Gameweek 27. They went down to a solitary Berbatov goal and sit 10th in the standings heading into Gameweek 28. The Hammers were unfortunate to lose after conceding to a late Gareth Bale rocket at Upton Park. Big Sam conceded that his side had been beaten by a world class player despite a draw looking likely in the dying minutes. Stoke to close the gap on 9th place Swansea with a win here.

Prediction 2-1

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-
Sunderland Vs Fulham

Sunderland have lost three matches on the trot and find themselves being dragged into the relegation fight. The visit of Fulham will give The Black Cats an opportunity to record a much needed victory. Martin Jol takes his side North on the back of a battling 1-0 victory over Stoke. An away win here could move Fulham into the top half of the table depending on results elsewhere. I expect a score draw at The Stadium of Light.

Prediction 1-1

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-
Swansea Vs Newcastle

Swansea will hope they are not suffering from any hangovers having won the Capital One Cup on Sunday. They must quickly turn their attention back to Premier League and The Swans welcome Newcastle to The Liberty Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The Toon Army arrive in Wales having beaten Southampton in Gameweek 27. Cisse scored another beauty as Alan Pardew’s side moved 6 points clear of danger. Michu to fire Swansea to their third consecutive home win in the League.

Prediction 2-1

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-
Wigan Vs Liverpool

Wigan recorded a hugely impressive 3-0 win away at Reading last weekend which saw them leapfrog their rivals and exit the relegation zone. The Latics need more points to extend the gap between them and the clubs below them. Liverpool visit The DW Stadium having enjoyed a week off due to Swansea’s Capital One Cup commitments. The Reds are sneaking up on a European place for next season.

Prediction 1-2

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-
Tottenham Vs Arsenal

The North London Derby is the focus of Super Sunday this weekend. Tottenham were once again thankful for Gareth Bale’s left boot when they visited Upton Park on Monday Night Football. Spurs have now moved into third place above Chelsea and AVB must be relishing the possibility of finishing above his previous employers. Arsenal have won their last 3 League games and are also closing in on Chelsea in 4th place. Just two points separate The Gunners from Chelsea and a win here would be a huge boost to Arsenal’s Top 4 hopes. Gareth Bale to ensure Spurs regain bragging rights over their fierce rivals.

Prediction 3-1

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-
Aston Villa Vs Manchester City

Monday Night Football sees Manchester City visit Aston Villa with both sides in need of points for very different reasons. Aston Villa remain in the drop zone and must gain some momentum heading into crunch matches against relegation rivals. Benteke has proved a great signing and he will look to trouble the City backline. Manchester City are in need of points to keep the pressure on United and shake off Spurs and Chelsea who are right on their heels. I predict an away win here, piling the pressure on Paul Lambert.

Prediction 1-2
