Tottenham Vs Newcastle
Tottenham Hotspur fans enjoyed a very good Gameweek 25 with City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Everton and Liverpool all dropping points. The only negative from the 1-0 win at West Brom was the injury to Jermain Defoe. Newcastle came back from 2-1 down to grab a dramatic win against Chelsea. New signing Sissoko introduced himself to The Toon Army with a brace to sink the European Champions at St James’ Park. Spurs to leapfrog Chelsea (temporarily at least) with a victory at White Hart Lane.
Prediction 2-1

Chelsea Vs Wigan
Chelsea dropped more points away at Newcastle and have only registered a single point from their last two matches. Demba Ba is doubtful having broken his nose on Saturday. Spurs are now just one point behind their London rivals and could be ahead of them due to their early kick off. Wigan were able to secure a point at home to Southampton courtesy of Maloney but remain in the bottom three after rival clubs also picked up points in Gameweek 25. Wigan have beaten Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in recent seasons but surely lightning won’t strike twice?
Prediction 1-0

Norwich Vs Fulham
Norwich held on for a 0-0 draw at Loftus Road on Saturday afternoon and were particularly thankful to goalkeeper Bunn for saving a late penalty. That point moved The Canaries level on 28 points with Fulham – 7 points clear of danger. Fulham lost at Craven Cottage to a single Wayne Rooney strike following a brief power outage in West London. A win for either side here could propel them into the top half of the table depending on results elsewhere.
Prediction 1-1

Stoke Vs Reading
Stoke were beaten by a single deflected goal at The Emirates when it seemed they might have done enough to hang on for all 3 points. Tony Pulis has failed to guide his side to a win in their last 6 matches and fans at The Britannia will expect nothing less than victory on Saturday. Reading dragged themselves out of the relegation zone with a vital win over Sunderland at the weekend. The Royals have won 4 of their last 6 matches and could pose Stoke problems.
Prediction 2-1

Sunderland Vs Arsenal
Sunderland were beaten at The Madejski Stadium on Saturday but are comfortably clear of any relegation woes at this stage. Arsenal are the latest visitors to make the long trip North. The Gunners squirmed past Stoke in Gameweek 25 courtesy of a deflected Podolski set piece. Arsene Wenger is now undefeated in 3 League games and will hope to extend that record at The Stadium of Light. A win could move Sunderland into the top half of the table.
Prediction 1-1

Swansea Vs QPR
Swansea City have enjoyed a great season thus far and will be hoping to maintain or improve upon their current 8th place position. The visit of bottom club QPR could be the perfect opportunity for Swansea to pocket 3 more points. Rangers have drawn their last 4 fixtures most recently against Norwich when Taraabt missed a penalty for The Hoops. QPR need more victories if they are to avoid the drop in May. Michu to rediscover his goal scoring form.
Prediction 3-1

Southampton Vs Manchester City
Southampton were pegged back and were forced to settle for a draw at The DW Stadium on Saturday. The Saints have performed well despite their change of manager but a huge test awaits when the Champions visit St Marys. Manchester City have fallen 9 points behind rivals United following their draw against Liverpool. Arsenal could only manage a draw when they visited the South Coast. Anything but 3 points will surely put the title out of reach for Roberto Mancini?
Prediction 1-2

Aston Villa Vs West Ham
Aston Villa fans must be getting increasingly worried about their team. Strangely, Villa seem to get better results away from Villa Park as they have lost their last 4 matches at home and deservedly sit in the relegation zone. West Ham visit on the back of a good win over Swansea. Andy Carroll marked his return from injury with the only goal at Upton Park. The Hammers are struggling away from home and have lost their last 4 away fixtures.
Prediction 2-1

Manchester United Vs Everton
Manchester United have extended their lead at the summit to 9 points thanks to an individual effort from Wayne Rooney at Fulham in Gameweek 25. Rooney has been red hot since his return from injury and will be keen to add to his haul against boyhood club Everton. The Toffees are unbeaten in 5 and are still in with a chance of breaking into the Top 4 which would be a remarkable achievement. I can’t see United slipping up against Everton as they did at the tail end of last season.
Prediction 3-0
————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-
Liverpool Vs West Brom
Liverpool played extremely well against Manchester City and dominated all of the match statistics despite the one that matters most. Pepe Reina’s blunder cost The Reds 3 points at The Etihad. A win last weekend and Brendan Rodgers would have guided Liverpool to just 3 points behind Arsenal. West Brom are stuck in a terrible run of form which has seen them drop to 9th. Lukaku could lead the line again. Popov will miss this encounter due to his red card against Tottenham last weekend. Home win expected here.
Prediction 2-0
