Cardiff City Vs Aston Villa

Cardiff were well beaten in their derby game against Swansea on Saturday and will be eager to put that result behind them when Aston Villa visit on Tuesday evening. The Bluebirds picked up a huge win at home over Norwich last time out and will need to replicate that result to join Sunderland on 24 points. Aston Villa have lost two games since their thrilling 4-3 win over West Brom. Paul Lambert sees his side just 4 points clear of the drop zone and would love an additional cushion of points in that respect. Home win.

Prediction 2-1

Hull City Vs Southampton

Hull have put an end to the run of defeats which saw them slide down the table with a four points from their last two matches. January signings Jelavic and Long found the net and could well be the difference in keeping The Tigers in the Premier League come May. Southampton had to settle for a share of the spoils when Stoke visited St Marys. Rickie Lambert netted a sublime free kick in that game and will hope to trouble the Hull defence at the KC Stadium. Score draw.

Prediction 1-1

West Ham Vs Norwich

West Ham United began life without the suspended Andy Carroll with a huge 2-0 win at Aston Villa in Gameweek 25. Kevin Nolan bagged a brace for the second League match in succession to ease the pressure on The Hammers. Norwich have not travelled well lately and have gone without a win in four matches on the road. West Ham’s form has picked up lately and Sam Allardyce has not seen his side lose since Gameweek 22. Home win at Upton Park to move West Ham to 28 points.

Prediction 1-0

West Brom Vs Chelsea

West Bromwich Albion were well beaten when they visited Crystal Palace in Gameweek 25. The Baggies are now without a win in five matches both home and away and face a daunting prospect when Jose Mourinho brings his Chelsea side to town. The Blues are in great form right now. Despite Mourinho claiming his side are not title contenders, Chelsea are top of the Premier League heading into Gameweek 26 following Eden Hazard’s hat-trick against Newcastle. The Blues have not conceded in four consecutive away matches and I predict a Chelsea win on Tuesday evening.

Prediction 0-2

Arsenal Vs Manchester United

Arsenal were humiliated when they visited Liverpool and lost by a hefty 5-1 scoreline. Arsene Wenger should have no problem rallying his troops for the visit of Manchester United on Wednesday evening. David Moyes has endured a nightmare maiden campaign as manager of the Champions. Having turned things around against Fulham everyone expected United to see the game out but conceded at the death to leave them 9 points adrift of Champions League football. Arsenal bounce back and hammer the final nail in Manchester United’s hopes of a Top 4 finish.

Prediction 2-1

Everton Vs Crystal Palace

Everton fans were disappointed as their side conceded valuable ground in the hunt for a Top 4 spot by losing at Tottenham on Sunday. The Toffees saw Spurs leapfrog them into 5th place with 13 matches still to play. Tony Pulis has given Crystal Palace new belief that they can avoid the drop. The Eagles have won 3 of their last 4 matches and sit 3 points clear of the Drop Zone. Roberto Martinez has seen his side win 5 of their last 6 on home turf and will expect 3 points on Wednesday.

Prediction 3-0

Manchester City Vs Sunderland

Manchester City have now gone two games without a goal which has seen them pick up just one point from a possible six. Pelligrini has seen Chelsea jump to the top of the table and City need to get back to business immediately if they are to keep pace with the leaders. Sunderland visit The Etihad following a disappointing loss at home to Hull. Adam Johnson will be back at his old Club hoping to fire his Sunderland side to Premier League safety. City to regain their formidable home form with a win.

Prediction 3-0

Newcastle Vs Tottenham

Newcastle United sit in the Relegation Zone on the Premier League ‘Form Guide’ having recorded just a single victory in their past six outings. The Magpies remain comfortably in the top half of the table but are struggling having made no January acquisitions despite losing Cabaye. Spurs recorded an important victory over Everton at White Hart Lane on Sunday. Adebayor was on target once again and AVB may still be in employment in North London had the Togo forward featured more prominently in his plans. Given Newcastle’s poor form I expect an away win.

Prediction 1-2

———————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Stoke City Vs Swansea

Stoke fought back twice to earn a draw at Southampton in Gameweek 25. The Potters rely heavily on their home form to register points while they struggle on the road. Swansea enjoyed a terrific 3-0 derby win over Cardiff at the weekend but have been poor away from home and have picked up just two points from a possible eighteen on the road. Charlie Adam has bagged two goals and two assists in his last two outings and could add to his tally against the Welsh side.

Prediction 1-0

———————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Fulham Vs Liverpool

Fulham produced the shock result of Gameweek 25 by holding Manchester United to a draw at Old Trafford. The Cottagers remain rooted to the foot of the Premier League but that result will do them the world of good in terms of confidence. Liverpool thumped Arsenal 5-1 at Anfield to underline their Top 4 credentials. Sturridge and Suarez are among Europe’s top strike partnerships and will cause Fulham defenders huge headaches all night. Away win expected at Craven Cottage.

Prediction 1-3
