Hull Vs Newcastle
Hull City have lost their last two Premier League outings without finding the net and will use the prospect of a derby game against Newcastle as motivation to get back to winning ways. The Tigers are in the Relegation Zone heading into this fixture and could climb up the table with a win. Newcastle United are in poor form themselves having gone three Premiership matches without a victory. Crystal Palace Vs Everton
Crystal Palace seem to have turned the corner under Alan Pardew’s leadership. The Eagles have won their last two Premier League matches and progressed in the FA Cup with an impressive away win at Southampton on Saturday. Chamakh bagged a brace in the Cup to give his Manager a selection headache for the Everton game. The Toffees have been unable to build any sort of momentum this Season and have picked up just two points from a possible eighteen in the Premier League. Home win expected at Selhurst Park.
Liverpool Vs West Ham
Liverpool were unable to find a way through a resolute Bolton defence marshalled by the excellent Adam Bogdan in the FA Cup on Saturday. That result will result in a replay at Bolton and further congest Liverpool’s fixture list. Sturridge nears a return and could make the bench for this game. West Ham United have enjoyed a great campaign thus far under Big Sam. The Hammers have been dominant at home but have not been so successful on the road. Home win for Liverpool.
Manchester United Vs Leicester
Manchester United were able to get back to winning ways in the Premier League with a 2-0 away win at QPR in Gameweek 22. However, the Red Devils couldn’t get a win at Cambridge in the FA Cup which earned the lower League side a lucrative replay at Old Trafford. Leicester remain rooted to the bottom of the Premier League following a disappointing defeat by Stoke in their last League fixture. The Foxes face an uphill battle to retain their Premiership status. Stoke Vs QPR
Stoke continue to go about their business quietly and have cemented themselves in mid-table heading into Gameweek 23. A good run of form has seen the Potters lose just once in their last 5 Premier League games despite facing some of the better sides in the Division. QPR’s away form has been a real cause for concern with Harry Redknapp’s side picking up zero points on the road this Season. Sunderland Vs Burnley
Sunderland thought they had picked up a point from their trip to White Hart Lane before Eriksen scored late on to leave Sunderland empty-handed. The Black Cats have now lost four of their last five outings and need to turn things around. Burnley visit the North East having lost just once in their last four matches. The Clarets sit level on points with their hosts on Saturday with the winner securing some breathing room from the Relegation Zone. Home win expected.
West Brom Vs Spurs
West Bromwich Albion made it three matches unbeaten when they held Everton to a 0-0 draw at Goodison Park on Monday Night Football. The Baggies sit 14th in the Premier League having picked up five points from their last two Fixtures – Three points clear of the Relegation Zone. Spurs star Christian Eriksen bagged late winner and three points for his side when they faced Sunderland in Gameweek 22. With Arsenal not playing until Sunday, Spurs could take 5th spot in the Premier League with a win at The Hawthorns.
Chelsea Vs Manchester City
Chelsea host Manchester City in the pick of the Gameweek 23 fixtures with both sides looking to take a step towards winning the Premier League title. Chelsea have won their last two League fixtures scoring 7 goals and conceding none since their shocking defeat at Spurs. Manchester City have been in poor form by their standards winning just one of their last four in the Premiership games following their 2-0 defeat when Arsenal visited The Etihad. Both sides crashed out of the FA Cup to lower League opposition at the weekend and will be eager to get back to winning ways. Mourinho’s side to pick up a huge home win.
Arsenal Vs Aston Villa
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was finally able to celebrate a win over a Top 4 side when his side overcame Manchester City in Gameweek 22 at The Etihad. The Gunners are in good form having won four of their last five and seem to have a good chance of FA Cup success. Aston Villa have been on a dreadful run of form which has seen them go five Premier League games without scoring a goal. Theo Walcott could feature for The Gunners following his FA Cup goal. Comfortable home win for Arsenal.
Southampton Vs Swansea
Southampton have had a great season thus far and will hope they can maintain their encouraging form. The Saints have won five of their last six Premier League games to sit 3rd in the Premier League – Sandwiched between City and United. Swansea were well beaten when Chelsea visited The Liberty Stadium in Gameweek 22. The Swans picked up a 1-1 draw at QPR in their last away outing but will likely find the going tougher on the South Coast. Home win for Southampton expected.
