Newcastle Vs Manchester City

Newcastle were beaten in their last fixture away at Fulham and have dropped to 14th in the table, a far cry from the heights enjoyed last season. Key players have been injured and this has hampered the Magpies. Manchester City lost the Manchester Derby in dramatic fashion courtesy of Samir Nasri’s disappearing act while meant to be forming part of Joe Hart’s defensive wall. Can see this ending a score draw.

Prediction 1-1

Liverpool Vs Aston Villa

Luis Suarez will return to the Liverpool lineup when Aston Villa visit Anfield on Saturday. The Reds recorded a very impressive win despite missing their key front man and are eyeing up a Top 4 berth if results continue to go their way. Aston Villa and particularly Paul Lambert enjoyed an away win at  Norwich in The Capital One Cup mid week but Darren Bent was forced off injured. Can only see a home win here.

Prediction 2-0

Manchester United Vs Sunderland

Manchester United went six points clear at the top of the Barclays Premier League with a win at ‘Noisy Neighbours’ Manchester City on Sunday. Rooney and Van Persie were on target yet again and have formed a daunting partnership together. Sunderland beat Reading on Tuesday at The Stadium of Light which moved The Black Cats out of the drop zone and eased the pressure on Martin O’Neill. Rooney and RVP to score here.

Prediction 3-0

Norwich Vs Wigan

Despite an impressive win at The Liberty Stadium last Gameweek, Norwich were beaten in the Capital One Cup by Aston Villa midweek. The next visitors to Carrow Road are Roberto Martinez and Wigan on Saturday. The Latics played out a 2-2 draw with fellow strugglers QPR last weekend and remain in the relegation zone at present. However, only goal difference is keeping them there and a positive result could push Wigan to 14th.

Prediction 1-1

QPR Vs Fulham

Queens Park Rangers have not lost since Harry Redknapp took the reigns. Unfortunately, they have not won either and have drawn their last three. What QPR really need is a win to close the gap between them and safety which is already 8 points at present. Fulham beat Newcastle on Monday Night Football to move themselves just one win away from being top half of the table. Unfortunately for QPR, I can see this London derby ending in a draw.

Prediction 1-1

Stoke Vs Everton

Two consecutive clean sheets in the League have given Stoke four points from two matches. They may not be the most entertaining team in the Premier League, but it is points and not flair which keep you in the top division. Stoke currently sit 9th but a win here could move them level on points with 4th placed Everton. The Toffees hit back late against Tottenham and took the spoils at Goodison Park. A win at Stoke would see Everton move level with 3rd place Chelsea.

Prediction 1-0

Tottenham Vs Swansea

Tottenham conceded two late goals at Goodison Park and left empty handed despite an encouraging performance. The visit of Swansea may give AVB an opportunity to put three points on the board and move level with rivals Chelsea who sit Gameweek 17 out due to commitments in Japan. Swansea lost at home despite scoring three against Norwich. Michu bagged a further two goals and Spurs need to keep him quiet if they want to win this game.

Prediction 2-1

West Brom Vs West Ham

West Brom were defeated by two Mikel Arteta penalties at The Emirates on Saturday. The first of those appeared to be harsh as Cazorla made the most of any contact to go down inside the box. West Ham were beaten by Liverpool at Upton Park in their last encounter. Sam Allardyce’s men could have felt that luck was not on their side given the nature of Liverpool’s winner. Should be an intriguing match.

Prediction 2-1

Reading Vs Arsenal

Reading remain 6 points adrift of safety following their fifth defeat in a row. Results must pick up soon if The Royals are to enjoy another season in the Premier League. Arsenal visit The Madejski having been humbled by lowly Bradford in the Capital One Cup midweek. Despite grabbing a late equaliser in extra time, Arsenal went out on penalties against the League Two minnows. Arsene Wenger will be furious and demand an immediate response. However, 120 minutes of midweek football could take their toll.

Prediction 1-1
