Manchester United Vs Newcastle

Manchester United were stunned on Wednesday evening when Everton recorded their first win at Old Trafford since 1992. David Moyes sees his side 12 points off the pace heading into Gameweek 15. Wayne Rooney will sit this match out through suspension while RVP remains doubtful through injury. Newcastle United went down heavily at Swansea which brought an end to their winning run. The Magpies face another tricky away match at The Champions but will take some comfort from the fact that United are experiencing a dip in form and are without a win in 3 Premier League games. Home win expected.

Crystal Palace Vs Cardiff

Crystal Palace have come out fighting and have registered 6 points from their last 3 matches. The Eagles are now just 3 points behind West Ham in 17th place with a good prospect of gaining additional points on Saturday. Cardiff played out a bore draw at Stoke on Wednesday evening. The Bluebirds have now gone 4 Premier League matches without a victory and sit in 15th place heading into Gameweek 15. With both sides short of striking options and goals I predict this could end in a goalless draw.

Prediction 0-0

Liverpool Vs West Ham

Luis Suarez stole the show at Anfield by bagging 4 goals, an assist and the match ball on Wednesday evening. Norwich were once again on the receiving end of a masterclass by the Uruguayan forward. Liverpool sit in 4th place heading into Gameweek 15 and will fancy their chances of pocketing all 6 points from the 2 home fixtures this week. West Ham are slipping down the table having lost 3 of their last 4 matches in the Premier League. Sam Allardyce may find himself under further pressure if The Hammers lose this match and end up in the drop zone depending on results elsewhere. Suarez to fire Liverpool to victory.

Prediction 3-0

Southampton Vs Manchester City

Southampton lost their impressive home run of four consecutive wins when Aston Villa visited the South Coast and beat the Saints 3-2 in a thrilling match. Southampton will look to bounce back to winning ways immediately but have their work cut out as Manchester City are the next side to visit St Marys. City were able to hold out for a 3-2 draw at West Brom after they seemed to be cruising at 3-0 up. Pelligrini has identified City’s away form as being a key area for improvement if they are to win back the title this year. Both sides have plenty to play for and I expect this to be an entertaining score draw.

Prediction 2-2

Stoke Vs Chelsea

Stoke City played out a 0-0 draw against Cardiff and have failed to score in their last 2 matches. Home form has been critical to Stoke lately and The Potters are unbeaten in their last 4 matches at The Britannia. Chelsea were involved in a hugely entertaining 7 goal thriller at The Stadium of Light. Eden Hazard came to his side’s rescue with 2 goals and an assist in the North East. Oscar could return for Chelsea while Torres should lead the line despite a glaring miss at Sunderland. The Blues occupy 2nd place in the League and will be keen to maintain the pressure on Arsenal above them with a second away win in the space of 4 days.

Prediction 0-1

West Brom Vs Norwich

West Brom staged a late come back against Manchester City but were unable to claw back a 3-0 deficit. The Baggies have now gone 4 Premier League matches without a win and need to gain some points to put distance between themselves and the relegation zone. Norwich visit following a 5-1 thrashing at Anfield. Chris Hughton was disappointed with his side’s defending which led to such a heavy defeat although Suarez was unplayable. The Canaries have now lost their last 4 matches away from Carrow Road and I expect West Brom to pick up 3 points which will move them to 18 points.

Prediction 2-0

Sunderland Vs Tottenham

Sunderland fans got a thrilling evening of football on Wednesday evening but eventually went down 4-3 when Chelsea visited The Stadium of Light. Gus Poyet will have little time to boost the morale of his squad before Tottenham make the long trip North on Saturday evening. Spurs picked up a crucial 3 points when they visited manager-less Fulham mid-week. Holtby grabbed the winner which gave AVB a victory after four matches without a win. Defoe led the line at Fulham but Soldado could return to the Spurs starting XI on Saturday evening. Score draw at The Stadium of Light.

Prediction 1-1

———————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Fulham Vs Aston Villa

Fulham are in free fall at present and despite the change in management lost again when Spurs visited on Wednesday evening. Fulham fans have seen 6 consecutive defeats in the Premier League and their side currently sit in the relegation zone. Aston Villa had relegation worries last season but have started this campaign strongly and sit in 10th place following their impressive win at Southampton in Gameweek 14. Delph had an excellent game at Southampton and Fulham will need to keep an eye on the Aston Villa man to minimise his influence. Aston Villa to record another win on the road.

Prediction 0-1

———————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Arsenal Vs Everton

Opposition fans expecting to see Arsenal throw away their lead at the summit of the Premier League have been put on ice for another week. While pundits regularly play down Arsenal’s chances of winning the title, Arsenal keep winning and maintaining their lead in the Premiership. Giroud was afforded a rest mid-week but will likely lead the line against Everton on Sunday. The Toffees will be buzzing following their 1-0 win at Manchester United on Wednesday – Their first win at Old Trafford since 1992. Lukaku was key once again and the Arsenal defence will have to be at their best to keep the Belgian at bay. Home win at The Emirates.

Prediction 2-0

———————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Swansea Vs Hull City

Swansea City will hope to follow up their 3-0 win over Newcastle with another 3 points when Hull City visit South Wales. The Swans home form has been encouraging of late and they are unbeaten in 4 matches on home turf. Hull were the latest team to leave The Emirates with no points and Steve Bruce faces another tricky road trip on Monday Night Football. Both of these sides could move into the top half of the table with a victory depending on results elsewhere. Unfortunately for Hull, their recent away form shows 4 consecutive Premier League defeats. As such, I am backing Swansea to record their second home victory within a week.

Prediction 1-0
