Aston Villa Vs Sunderland

Aston Villa will be on a high following their dramatic comeback on Monday Night Football at West Brom. Sunderland lost at Stoke following the early dismissal of Wes Brown. Black Cats manager Gus Poyet was understandably furious with the referee for a blatant error which gave his side little chance of making a comeback. Sunderland’s away form has been poor and I expect them to leave Villa Park empty handed.

Prediction 1-0

Cardiff City Vs Arsenal

Cardiff drew 2-2 with the Champions on Sunday afternoon but the result may have been different had Wayne Rooney been dismissed for his early act of aggression. Malky Mackay has gained 4 points from visits by City and United and welcomes the Premier League leaders on Saturday. Arsenal beat Southampton 2-0 at The Emirates following a moment of madness from Artur Boruc and a late penalty from Giroud. The Gunners are 4 points clear at the summit and will look to keep the pressure on their rivals with an away win.

Prediction 1-3

Everton Vs Stoke

Everton and Liverpool played out one of the games of the season in the Merseyside Derby on Saturday. 3-3 it finished with Lukaku bagging a brace in the process. Stoke won at home to Sunderland which moved them 3 points clear of the drop zone. The Potters’ away form has been their problem and Everton is a tough place to go. Roberto Martinez is undefeated at Goodison Park and will extend that run.

Prediction 2-0

Norwich Vs Crystal Palace

Norwich were on the wrong end of a 2-1 scoreline at Newcastle on Saturday. The Canaries have struggled all season particularly away from home. The visit of Crystal Palace gives Chris Hughton the perfect opportunity to register a third home win this season. The Eagles produced a shock win at Hull City in Gameweek 12 – Their first points on the road this season. Another victory at Carrow Road would see Palace have a chance of moving out of the Relegation Zone. Bore draw.

Prediction 0-0

West Ham Vs Fulham

West Ham United’s miserable start to the season continued as Chelsea thrashed them 3-0 on Saturday evening. The Blues outclassed the Hammers who are only goal difference away from being in the drop zone. Fulham are one of the few clubs sitting below West Ham following their loss to Swansea. Pressure is mounting on Martin Jol withn his side having lost 4 Premier League games on the bounce. Important win for West Ham at Upton Park.

Prediction 1-0

Newcastle Vs West Brom

Newcastle United recorded their 3rd consecutive win in the Premiership with a 2-1 win over Norwich at St James’ Park. The Magpies have now moved above Spurs in the table and depending on results elsewhere could be in the Top 4 on Saturday evening. West Brom sit 11th in the table following their Derby clash with Aston Villa. Shane Long impressed with two excellent goals at The Hawthorns. Steve Clarke would love to see his side push on into the top half of the table. Home win expected in the North East.

Prediction 2-0

Tottenham Vs Manchester United

AVB must have had a sleepless night on Sunday following Spurs’ 6-0 demolition at Manchester City. Spurs looked a shadow of the side who should be challenging at the top of the table. Manchester United once again let a leading position slip in the final minutes of a match when they conceded a late goal at Cardiff. Many pundits argued that Wayne Rooney should have been sent off in South Wales and therefore suspended for this fixture. Rooney played a blinder in the Champions League midweek and will be keen to examine a suspect Tottenham defence. Manchester United’s winning run to continue and pile pressure on Andre Villas Boas.

Prediction 0-1

Hull City Vs Liverpool

Hull City suffered a disappointing defeat to give Crystal Palace their first points away from home this season. The Tigers sit bottom of the Form Guide with just 4 points from their last 6 matches. Steve Bruce will need to pick his players up ahead of the visit of Liverpool. The Reds managed a 3-3 draw at Everton last weekend and will likely welcome Daniel Sturridge back into the starting XI on Sunday. Suarez remains red hot and keeping him quiet will be key to Hull’s chances. Away win expected.

Prediction 1-3

Chelsea Vs Southampton

Chelsea were on top form to despatch West Ham 3-0 at Upton Park and end their run of disappointing results. The Blues are now level on points with 2nd place Liverpool and poised to strike should Arsenal slip up. Southampton goalkeeper Artur Boruc tried to dazzle Giroud with his skill but only laid on an assist for the Frenchman in the defeat at Arsenal. The Saints are without a win in 3 matches on the road and Stamford Bridge is a tough place to visit. Home win expected.

Prediction 2-1

Manchester City Vs Swansea

Manchester City ran riot on Sunday and hammered 6 goals passed hapless Hugo Lloris. City season ticket holders have been rewarded handsomely with 6 wins from 6 and 26 goals scored at The Etihad. Next up to face the gauntlet are Swansea City who won at Fulham last weekend. Unusually, The Swans have won more matches away from home than at The Liberty Stadium this campaign. Michael Laudrup has his work cut out to avoid a defeat here. Sergio Aguero to fire City to a comfortable home win.

Prediction 4-1
