Aston Villa Vs Cardiff City

Aston Villa were unable to break down a resolute West Ham defence as they drew 0-0 in Gameweek 10. Benteke came closest but was unable to break the deadlock. Villa have lost two home games in a row and need to improve infront of their own fans. Cardiff recorded a famous win in the first ever South Wales Derby in the top flight. Caulker was on target to give The Bluebirds bragging rights. Malky Mackay will be looking to push on towards the top half of the Premier League despite remaining under pressure. Score draw at Villa Park.

Prediction 1-1

Chelsea Vs West Brom

Chelsea were on the wrong end of a shock Gameweek 10 result losing 2-0 at St James’ Park. Jose Mourinho claimed to have made ’11 mistakes’ referring to his team selection and a number of changes are expected when West Brom visit Stamford Bridge. The Baggies have only lost once in their last 6 League games but that impressive run may come to an abrupt end when Steve Clarke returns to his old Club. Jose Mourinho will demand better from his star studded squad and I expect a backlash from Chelsea. Torres misses out through injury and Samuel Eto’o will fire in a home win at The Bridge.

Prediction 2-0

Crystal Palace Vs Everton

Crystal Palace remain rooted to the foot of the Premier League following their 2-0 defeat at West Brom. The search for Ian Holloway’s replacement continues but the job will become less and less appealing as the task of keeping Palace up becomes more daunting. Everton played out a goalless draw against Tottenham on Sunday. Lukaku is doubtful after picking up a knock against Spurs with Jelavic poised to deputise if necessary. The Toffees have travelled well only losing once on the road and I expect them to take all 3 points from Selhurst Park.

Prediction 0-1

Liverpool Vs Fulham

Liverpool’s strike force were subdued by Arsenal losing 2-0 at The Emirates in Gameweek 10. Sturridge and Suarez will be desperate to get back on the scoresheet and get their side back to winning ways. Glen Johnson missed out but will return for Brendan Rodgers against Fulham. Martin Jol’s side were 3-0 down in the early stages against Manchester United and only mustered a consolation goal in the second half. The Cottagers have lost 3 of their last 4 matches in the road and are likely to lose at Anfield on Saturday.

Prediction 3-0

Southampton Vs Hull City

Southampton goalkeeper Artur Boruc was embarrassed when his opposite number scored the fastest goal of this season after 12 seconds on Saturday. The Saints were able to recover an equaliser and left The Britannia with a point. Following 3 consecutive victories at St Mary’s Hull have their work cut out on Saturday. The Tigers recorded an important win over Sunderland which moved them to 10th in the Standings. Hull have lost their last 2 on the road and Southampton are unbeaten at home so I expect a home win.

Prediction 2-0
———————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Norwich Vs West Ham

Norwich were thrashed 7-0 by Manchester City on Saturday and Chris Hughton was clearly upset following that performance. The Canaries have had a terrible run of fixtures playing Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City in recent weeks. Norwich are without a win in 3 home games but the visit of West Ham could give them an opportunity to bag 3 points. The Hammers again fired blanks against Aston Villa and that leaves them 15th in the Premier League. Sam Allardyce needs to get his side scoring goals as they have only found the net once in 3 Premier League outings. Bore draw at Carrow Road.

Prediction 0-0

Tottenham Vs Newcastle

Tottenham Hotspur felt they were denied an early penalty when they visited Everton last weekend. Spurs were unable to find a way past Tim Howard and ended up sharing the spoils at Goodison Park. AVB’s men are one of the 3 sides level on 20 points heading into Gameweek 11. Newcastle United recorded a huge win over Chelsea at St James’ Park which saw them move to 9th in the Premier League. Remy was on target once again and the Tottenham defence will need to keep a close eye on French forward. Home win expected at White Hart Lane.

Prediction 1-0
———————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Sunderland Vs Manchester City

It seemed that Sunderland had turned the corner following the Derby win over Newcastle. The Sunderland of old were back in Gameweek 10 losing at Hull and being reduced to 9 men in the process. Cattermole and Dossena will both sit this out due to suspension when The Black Cats need to be at full strength to have any chance of causing an upset. Manchester City ran riot against Norwich scoring 7 unanswered goals. Pantilimon replaced Joe Hart in goal but was largely redundant between the sticks. Away win at The Stadium of Light.

Prediction 0-2

Manchester United Vs Arsenal

The pick of this weekend’s Barclays Premier League fixtures takes place at Old Trafford where Manchester United face Arsenal. The Champions are in good form having won 3 of their last 4 League matches most recently a 3-1 win at Fulham which saw Rooney and Van Persie link up with devastating consequences. Arsenal are also in great form winning 3 League matches in a row including last week’s 2-0 win over Liverpool. Aaron Ramsey remains among the goals after bagging a screamer last weekend. Should be an end to end encounter with plenty of goals. Score draw.

Prediction 2-2

Swansea Vs Stoke

Swansea were beaten in the South Wales Derby and lost goalkeeper Vorm to a late red card. The stopper will sit this match out through suspension as The Swans try to bounce back to winning ways immediately. Stoke goalkeeper Asmir Begovic managed the rare feat of scoring a goal after Artur Boruc misjudged the flight of his clearance. The Potters remain perilously close to the Relegation Zone and have been without a win in their last 6 matches. Draw expected at The Liberty Stadium.
