Manchester United Vs Arsenal

Manchester United managed to throw away a 3-2 lead with seconds remaining in the Capital One Cup. This led to extra time which the Red Devils eventually lost to Chelsea. A win here would take United to the top of the table for the first time this season. Arsenal are still off the pace thanks to defeats by Chelsea and Norwich. A loss here would put them 9 points behind United. RVP to score against his former employers.

Prediction 3-1

Fulham Vs Everton

Fulham have had a great start to the season and sit 7th just one point behind Arsenal. Home form will be key if they are to maintain this positive start to the season. Everton have also started the season strongly but were somewhat fortunate to get a point from the Merseyside Derby after a late Suarez goal was wrongly disallowed. The Toffees could break into the top 4 with a win here.

Prediction 1-1

Norwich Vs Stoke

Norwich extended a difficult start to the season by getting just a single point from Villa Park. Chris Hughton will need to get his players prepared for the visit of Stoke which promises to be a physical encounter. Stoke featured in the only 0-0 draw of Gameweek 9 and need to score more goals if they want to progress higher up the table. Not the most exciting fixture this weekend.

Sunderland Vs Aston Villa

Sunderland were held to a 0-0 draw at The Britannia last weekend but will hope the visit of Aston Villa will allow them to collect three points. Steven Fletcher will be keen to add to his haul of goals this season against a weak Villa defence. Aston Villa have only won a single game this season and must improve if they are to avoid the relegation battle they endured last season.

Prediction 2-0

Swansea Vs Chelsea

Swansea were unfortunate to lose when they put in a good performance at The Etihad. The Swans are unbeaten in their last two games at The Liberty Stadium and will be looking forward to welcoming Chelsea. The Blues were put through a 120 minute marathon against Manchester United on Wednesday night. They were also victim of some shocking refereeing last weekend which allowed United to inflict their first defeat of the Season. Chelsea to get back to winning ways here.

Tottenham Vs Wigan

Tottenham Hotspur have continued their recent league form and have won 5 of their last 5 fixtures including the memorable victory at Old Trafford. They are currently in the top 4 and will be keen to repeat the 9 goals scored against Wigan at White Hart Lane in 2009. Wigan beat West Ham at The DW Stadium to put some daylight between themselves and the relegation zone. I cannot see them picking up any points in North London. Defoe to score anytime.

West Ham Vs Manchester City

West Ham have started the season well but lost their last game to Wigan and Big Sam will be keen to get back to winning ways at Upton Park. Unfortunately, the Champions Manchester City will be visiting and will want to capitalise on Chelsea’s misfortune on Sunday which saw them surrender 3 points. City were winners over Swansea thanks to Carlos Tevez who will terrorise the Hammers defence on Saturday evening.

QPR Vs Reading

Rumours are rife that Mark Hughes could be collecting his P45 should QPR get anything less than 3 points from this match. Despite having several chances, QPR succumbed to a late Arsenal winner after the dismissal of central defender Mbia. Reading were involved in a 6 goal thriller at The Madejski last weekend and will hope to climb out of the drop zone on Sunday. QPR to win at Loftus Road which will secure Mark Hughes’ employment – For now.

Liverpool Vs Newcastle

Liverpool were unfortunate to have a late ‘winner’ against Everton wrongly disallowed. They were still able to record a draw over their arch rivals but the gap between them remains 6 points. The Red’s were knocked out of the Capital One Cup midweek and Brendan Rodgers will demand a result against Newcastle. The Geordie’s secured a late winner courtesy of a massive deflection against West Brom. They are currently mid table and will hope to get something from this match.

Prediction 2-2

West Brom Vs Southampton

Monday Night Football returns with West Brom hosting Southampton at The Hawthorns. West Brom were robbed by Newcastle in Gameweek 9 with a massive deflection wrong footing goalkeeper Ben Foster. Lukaku continues to get his name on the scoresheet and will terrorise the Southampton defence. The Saints were unable to handle Spurs at St Mary’s and lost 2-1. Southampton need points ASAP to escape the relegation zone which they find themselves in.

Prediction 3-1
