Newcastle Vs Chelsea
Newcastle play their second match at St James’ Park in the space of 4 days when Chelsea visit the North East. The Magpies were left devastated after losing to Manchester City in extra-time in the Capital One Cup. Chelsea also had Capital One Cup commitments mid-week but due to the size of Jose Mourinho’s squad 10 changes were made to the team which featured in the last Premier League match. Torres will be looking to examine a dodgy looking Newcastle defence. Away win expected.
Prediction 0-2

Fulham Vs Manchester United
Martin Jol insists he is not under pressure despite Fulham struggling in the League and crashing out of the Cup at Leicester. The Cottagers face a huge challenge when The Champions visit Craven Cottage on Saturday. The Red Devils booked their place in the Capital One Cup Quarter Finals with a comfortable win over Norwich. United are unbeaten in their last 3 League matches and will look to extend that run with a victory in West London.
Prediction 1-3

Hull City Vs Sunderland
Hull have been cruelly beaten by Tottenham twice in the past week. A harsh penalty cost them what seemed to be a draw while penalty kicks were necessary to separate the sides in the Cup. The Tigers are unbeaten at home and they sit 10th in the League heading into Gameweek 10. Sunderland started life under Gus Poyet with a huge victory over rivals Newcastle. Borini made his claim for a starting berth with a well taken winner in the closing minutes of that match. Score draw.
Prediction 1-1

Manchester City Vs Norwich
Manchester City looked likely to take a point from their visit to Stamford Bridge until Joe Hart gifted Fernando Torres a winner. Hart may lose his place to Costel Pantilimon following the Romanian’s performance in the Cup midweek. Norwich have had a torrid run of fixtures and are without a win in 3 League matches. This has left The Canaries in the Relegation Zone heading into Gameweek 10 where I fear they will feel the full force of a Manchester City backlash.
Prediction 3-0

Stoke Vs Southampton
Stoke left Old Trafford empty handed despite scoring twice at the home of The Champions. The Potters have now lost 4 of their last 5 matches in the League and need to turn things around if they are to stop their fall into the Relegation Zone which they are currently hovering above on goal difference. Southampton are enjoying life at the other end of the table. The Saints are in 5th following their win over Fulham last weekend. Difficult to see a winner here – Bore draw.
Prediction 0-0

West Brom Vs Crystal Palace
West Bromwich Albion were heavily beaten by an excellent Liverpool last weekend. The Baggies sit 12th heading into this match against Crystal Palace. The Eagles are without a permanent manager following Ian Holloway’s departure and are rooted to the foot of the Premier League. Despite the season being only 10 weeks old it seems that it will take a very special manager to keep Palace from returning to the Championship after a single season in the top flight. Home win expected at The Hawthorns.
Prediction 1-0

West Ham Vs Aston Villa
West Ham United progressed to the Quarter Final stage of the Capital One Cup with a win at Burnley midweek. The Hammers managed a 0-0 draw at Swansea which sees them enter Gameweek 10 sitting 15th in the Table. Andy Carroll remains sidelined and scoring goals has been The Hammers’ problem. Aston Villa have welcomed Christian Benteke back into the side following injury but the Belgian missed a penalty in the 2-0 defeat against Everton last weekend. West Ham to leapfrog their opponents with a win at Upton Park.
Prediction 2-1

Arsenal Vs Liverpool
League leaders Arsenal host second placed Liverpool in the pick of the Gameweek 10 fixtures. Arsenal won away at Crystal Palace before losing to Chelsea in the Cup midweek despite bringing Giroud and Ozil off the bench to rescue the game. Liverpool were 4-1 winners over West Brom with Luis Suarez claiming a brilliant hat-trick. Liverpool are unbeaten on the road while Arsenal’s only League defeat at The Emirates came on the opening day when Aston Villa visited. This match is poised to be hugely entertaining and I predict a score draw.
Prediction 2-2

Everton Vs Tottenham
Super Sunday kicks off at Goodison Park when Everton host Tottenham Hotspur. The Toffees have enjoyed a great start to life under Roberto Martinez and occupy 6th place before Gameweek 10 gets underway. Spurs were fortunate to be given a late penalty which saw them secure 3 points against Hull last weekend. AVB and Co. sit just one point behind Chelsea and Liverpool in 2nd and 3rd place respectively. Spurs made a number of changes but were forced to play extra-time midweek while Everton have been able to focus on preparing for this fixture.
Prediction 2-1

Cardiff City Vs Swansea
The first ever South Wales Derby in the Premier League takes place as Cardiff host Swansea on Sunday afternoon. Cardiff have lost two on the bounce at home and have the perfect opportunity to put things right when Swansea visit. The Swans have had mixed fortunes on the road winning 2 and losing 2 from 4 away fixtures. Michu has yet to find the heights he reached last season while injury to a number of first team regulars and Europa League commitments may be contributing to Swansea’s lacklustre League form. Should be a very exciting encounter which will end in a draw.
Prediction 1-1
