Manchester United Vs Spurs

Manchester United get the new Premier League Season underway when they host Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford. The Red Devils have had a busy Summer in the Transfer Market signing a number of players while several players have been moved on. Wayne Rooney seems poised to lead the line following the departures of RVP and Falcao. Spurs fans will be hoping their Club make further additions before Transfer Deadline Day. The Lilywhites finished 5th last year but might struggle to match that feat this year with few quality additions to speak of. Home win expected at The Theatre of Dreams.

Bournemouth fans have been looking forward to this fixture since they secured Promotion from The Championship. As always, the newcomers will be among the favourites to get Relegated and would love to get off to a winning start when they host Aston Villa. Everton Vs Watford

Everton got off to a torrid start last Season and were unable to build any momentum during the course of the campaign. As a result, The Toffees finished in the bottom half of the Premier League. An opening fixture against Premier League newcomers Watford seems to give Roberto Martinez a great chance of recording an opening day victory. The Hornets are back in the Premier League after finishing 2nd in the Championship last Season. Tough opening fixture for Watford and a home victory is expected at Goodison Park.

Prediction 1-0

Leicester Vs Sunderland

Leicester pulled off a remarkable escape from Relegation last Season and will hope to avoid the need for such heroics in their 2015-2016 campaign. The Foxes ended up finishing in 14th place and Manager Nigel Pearson has largely the same squad at his disposal this Season. Sunderland finished below their hosts at the end of the Season under the stewardship of Dick Advocaat. The Dutchman was persuaded to remain as manager but could regret his decision if Sunderland struggle to pick up points. Stalemate at The King Power Stadium – Back a draw here.

Norwich Vs Crystal Palace

Norwich took the difficult path to Premier League status via The Championship Playoffs last term. Fans of the Canaries have been waiting all Summer for the Premier League to kick off and their wait is finally over. Crystal Palace will be the first of many top sides to visit Carrow Road this Season and a tremendous atmosphere is certain. Palace finished in the Top 10 last year and Alan Pardew has done a terrific job at Selhurst Park. Yohan Cabaye was lured back to the Premier League from PSG which could prove to be an excellent signing. Away win expected at Carrow Road.

Chelsea kick off their title defence against Swansea at Stamford Bridge hoping to recover quickly from their disappointing Community Shield defeat at Wembley on Sunday. The Blues were exceptional at home last Season and will need to perform at a similar level if they hope to retain their Premier League crown. Arsenal Vs West Ham

Arsenal got their Season off to the perfect start with Arsene Wenger enjoying his first win over Jose Mourinho in 14 attempts. The Gunners poached Petr Cech from their rivals and if they can get off to a good start this Season could be serious contenders. West Ham United have endured a longer Pre Season than most due to Europa League qualification commitments. The Hammers will hope that new signing Payet can help deliver goals with Carroll and Valencia sidelined through injury. Sanchez likely to sit this out after an extended break following the Copa America. Home victory expected at The Emirates.

Newcastle Vs Southampton

Newcastle United fans feared Relegation for much of last Season and the 2015/2016 campaign could be more of the same following limited investment in the squad over the Summer. The Magpies have appointed Steve McClaren as Head Coach and will hope for an improvement following the reign of John Carver. Southampton had a stellar Season last term and will hope that the loss of Clyne and Schneiderlin can be overcome. The Saints will kick off their campaign without first choice goalkeeper Fraser Forster who is sidelined through injury. All square at St James’ Park.

Prediction 1-1

Stoke Vs Liverpool

Stoke City host Liverpool in a re-match of the final match of the 2014/2015 Season at The Britannia. Steven Gerrard was keen to depart on a winning note but Stoke beat Liverpool 6-1 back in May to end their Season on a high note. The Potters finished 9th last term and will hope for a similar finish this time around. Liverpool have lost a number of players over the Summer with Raheem Sterling getting his move away from the Club. Brendan Rodgers has plenty of work to do if The Reds are to challenge for a Top 4 finish. Christian Benteke has looked sharp in pre-season and could be a bargain if he finds top form at Anfield. Away win expected at The Britannia – Back a Liverpool win here.

Prediction 1-2

West Brom Vs Manchester City

Monday Night Football returns with West Brom hosting Manchester City who will be eager for another shot at the Premier League title. The Baggies finished last Season with 44 points – 9 points clear of the Drop Zone. Berahino is a key man for West Brom and if he can find top form his side will flourish. Manchester City have lost James Milner but added Fabian Delph and Raheem Sterling to their squad. After falling short in their title defence last Season City will be desperate to make a good start to the Season. Away win expected at The Hawthorns – Back a Manchester City victory here.
