With around half a dozen games left in the season, there are only four points separating the bottom five clubs in the Premier League. It’s hard to make English football predictions because the league is so intense and the division often provides results that are hard to see coming. The only thing that is certain is that the five clubs at the bottom will all be fighting in every game.
Hull had a great start to the season and they have not been talked about as relegation candidates all year. However, due to many poor performances, few points and a lack of goals, Hull have been dragged back into the struggle for survival.
The team’s main problem is who they have to face in their final games of the year. In their last six games they must play Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester United. All of these matches would be near impossible if it weren’t for the circumstances. Hull have to put in a good performance during these games or else they are sure to go down.
No club at the bottom of the league has an easy finish to the season, but with the table at the bottom so close, a few good results may be enough to save a team from the drop.
Many of the clubs at the bottom still have to play each other, with Hull facing a crucial home game against Burnley. It seems like Hull’s survival will rest on their ability to get at least one good result against some of the best teams in Europe, and this could be a challenge too much for Steve Bruce’s side.
