Leicester City vs Stoke City
Leicester City will be looking to bounce back from a heavy 5-1 loss to Manchester City when they welcome Stoke City at their King Power Stadium. The Foxes extended their winless run on the road to five games, but Claude Puel’s men are tough to beat at home and that is giving fans a reason for optimism ahead of Saturday’s football match. Jamie Vardy scored his 13th goal of the season at the weekend, thus the opposition defenders should have him at bay. The Potters are eager to escape the relegation zone, but seeing that their performances on the road leave a lot to be desired, we predict that Xherdan Shaqiri and Co. are going to return home empty-handed. You should bear in mind that Leicester City recorded a 2-0 win over Stoke City in their last meeting at King Power Stadium.
Leicester City 2-0 Stoke City
Bournemouth vs Newcastle United
Following back-to-back wins over the likes of Chelsea and Stoke City, Bournemouth suffered a 3-1 loss to Huddersfield Town in their last league match. The Cherries remained in the top half of the Premier League standings, but they are only six points clear of bottom three ahead of Matchday 28. Eddie Howe’s troops are eyeing their fourth consecutive win at home and we predict that they are going to give fans yet another reason for celebration. Newcastle United, on the other hand, produced their best performance of the season at the weekend, with the team beating star-studded Manchester United 1-0 in front of home fans. Rafa Benitez’s men are determined to secure yet another Premier League survival, but seeing that they often struggle on the travels, we are positive that the hosts are going to pick up all three points from Saturday’s football match at Vitality Stadium.
Bournemouth 1-0 Newcastle
Brighton & Hove Albion vs Swansea City
The American Express Community Stadium will host Saturday’s football match between Brighton and Swansea City. The Seagulls aim to build on a 3-1 FA Cup win over Coventry City and they are certainly high on confidence ahead of the relegation six-pointer. The newcomers are only two points clear of bottom three, meaning that they are going to fight tooth and nail against the Welsh outfit. The Swans, on the other hand, were struggling in the first half of the season, but they have been producing fine performances in the national championship of late. Swansea City are undefeated in previous ten games in all competitions and they are definitely capable of grabbing something from the Brighton game. A close encounter is on the cards, so we predict that the two teams, who are fighting hard to secure the top flight survival, are going to play out a draw on Matchday 28.
Brighton & Hove Albion 1-1 Swansea City
Burnley vs Southampton
Burnley continue to struggle in the second half of the season. The Clarets suffered a 1-0 loss to Swansea City at Liberty Stadium at the weekend, with the team extending their winless run in the Premier League to ten games. Sean Dyche’s troops, though, are still sitting in the top half of the standings and they will be looking to get back on course when they welcome Southampton at their Turf Moor. The Saints’ top flight status is in great danger, but a win over Burnley could see them escape the relegation zone. Southampton failed to upset high-flying Liverpool (0-2) at the weekend, but they are definitely capable of grabbing something from Saturday’s football match against the Clarets. Anyhow, a close encounter is on the cards and we predict that the two sides are going to share the spoils at Turf Moor
Burnley 0-0 Southampton
Liverpool vs West Ham United
Liverpool were more than unfortunate not to beat Tottenham Hotspur in their last home game in the Premier League, but they quickly returned to winning ways, with the team beating Southampton at St. Mary’s Stadium at the weekend. The Reds are determined to finish the season in top four and they are likely to go all guns blazing at West Ham United on Matchday 28. Mohamed Salah just can’t stop scoring and all eyes will be on the pacey winger when the two teams face each other at Anfield. The Hammers, on the other hand, proved their worth in a 2-0 win over Watford, but they will have a much bigger fish to fry in Saturday’s football match against Liverpool. The Reds are a real force to be reckoned with at home and, taking everything into account, we predict that Jurgen Klopp’s men are going to emerge triumphant in the Anfield clash.
Liverpool 4-0 West Ham United
West Bromwich Albion vs Huddersfield Town
WBA and Huddersfield Town face each other in the relegation six-pointer at the Hawthorns. The Baggies are stuck at the bottom of the Premier League standings, meaning that they are likely to leave their hearts on the field in Saturday’s football match. WBA suffered only one loss in previous five home games in the national championship and they are definitely capable of making life difficult for the Terriers. Huddersfield desperately needed a win against Bournemouth and they managed to get one. Thanks to the 4-1 win over the Cherries put an end to their five-game losing run in the English elite division, with the team regaining a much-needed confidence. However, considering that the Baggies are tough to beat at home, we predict the two teams are going to share the spoils on Matchday 28.
West Bromwich Albion 1-1 Huddersfield Town
Watford vs Everton
Everton will be looking to build on a 3-1 win over Crystal Palace when they take on Watford at Vicarage Road Stadium on Matchday 28. The Toffees have been producing fine performances under Sam Allardyce, but they collect more points from home fixtures than from away games. Everton are on a three-game losing run on the road in the Premier League, with the team conceding 11 goals in those matches. Sam Allardyce’s troops should be happy with one point from Saturday’s football match, but the game against the Hornets will be anything but a walk in the park for the visitors. Watford outclassed Chelsea (4-1) in their last home game in the Premier League, but they failed to impress in a 2-0 loss to West Ham United at London Stadium. New Watford coach has a number of selection worries ahead of the visit of Everton, but the Hornets are tough to beat at home and that is the main reason why home win should be considered.
Watford 2-1 Everton
Crystal Palace vs Tottenham Hotspur
Selhurst Park will host a small London derby between Crystal Palace and Tottenham Hotspur, the two teams with entirely different ambitions in the remainder of the season. The Eagles are desperate to secure yet another Premier League survival, whilst Spurs are eyeing a place in the Champions League. Crystal Palace have been having their ups and downs this term, but they are on a four-game winless run in the national championship ahead of the visit of Mauro Pochettino’s troops. Tottenham sit in fifth place in the standings at the moment, but a win over Crystal Palace will see them climb to the Champions League berth. Harry Kane has been scoring goals for fun this season and the team’s top scorer is likely to prove a handful for the opposition defenders. Taking everything into account, we predict that the visitors are going to take advantage of the fact that the Eagles suffered a dip in form.
Crystal Palace 0-2 Tottenham Hotspur
Manchester United vs Chelsea
All eyes will be on Old Trafford when Manchester United and Chelsea face each other in the Premier League derby. Both teams are eyeing a place in the Champions League and we predict that both sides are going to adopt an attack-minded approach in Saturday’s football match. The Red Devils head into Sunday’s football game following a routine 2-0 FA Cup win over Huddersfield Town, but Jose Mourinho’s troops suffered a shocking 1-0 loss to Newcastle United in their last league fixture. The Blues, on the other hand, rolled over Hull City in the FA Cup on Friday evening, with January signing Olivier Giroud scoring his first goal for his new club. The two teams seem to be evenly matched at the moment, but seeing that Old Trafford will host the Premier League match, we are tempted to put our money on Romelu Lukaku and Co. Alexis Sanchez produced a fine display in the 2-0 win over Huddersfield, meaning that the opposition defenders should have him at bay.
Manchester United 1-0 Chelsea
Arsenal vs Manchester City
A repeat of the Carabao Cup final, Wenger vs Guardiola, round 2. A tasty midweek rescheduled clash between 2 of England’s biggest clubs should see a highly entertaining match. Expect both sides to ring the changes and a high scoring match. Arsenal got through their Europa League tie after what transpired to be a huge scare at home to Osterunds whilst City already have their Champions League tie wrapped up. With city going for the title we expect a big win for the away side. Wenger is one of the few that gets a win or two over Pep in these occasions however the gulf in class is so great that I just cannot see that happening on Wednesday
Arsenal 2-3 Manchester City
