Cardiff v Watford

Kick-off: Week 27, Friday 22nd February, 19:45

Cardiff have hit some good form at the right time of the season with back to back wins over southcoast sides Bournemouth and Southampton. These two wins has seen them climb outside the bottom three and one point clear of the bottom three. There’s still a long way to go for this side, but if they keep playing the way they are, they have a good chance of survival.

Watford have gone way beyond expectations this season and with hopes still alive for a top seven finish and potential European football on the cards, they will want to make sure they bag all three points this weekend. Troy Deeney has once again played a huge part in this sides push for success and will continue to do so for the rest of the season.

It’s hard to go against a side like Cardiff who tend to perform better at home and have won two on the bounce coming into this one. However, Watford have lost just once in five and are very tough to beat so we can see this one being a score draw.

  • Correct score prediction: Cardiff 1 – 1 Watford
  • Odds: 10/1

West Ham v Fulham

Kick-off: Week 27, Friday 22nd February, 19:45

West Ham have hit a real bad patch in there season as the Hammers are without a win in four, losing two and drawing the others. They will see this as a good chance to get back to winning ways but will know not to take any game in the Premier League for granted. The star players for West Ham have looked off of late, if they get firing again they could cause Fulham a lot of problems.

Fulham are practically nine points adrift of safety as there goal difference is so poor so for them, every game from now until the end of the season is like a cup final. They must get a win in this one, but will have to be at their absolute best if they are to do so, even with West Ham struggling of late.

Although West Ham have been unable to win in four, we think they will get back to winning ways this weekend. Fulham look down and out in our eyes, the quality just doesn’t seen to be shining through for the side.

  • Correct score prediction: West Ham 2 – 1 Fulham
  • Odds: 12/1

Burnley v Tottenham

Kick-off: Week 27, Saturday 23rd February, 12:30

Burnley have put on a good run of results at the right time as they side have climbed three points clear of the bottom three. This is far from comfortable for the side and a gap they will want to increase in the coming weeks. Away at Wembley, it was a last minute Spurs winner that broke the hearts of Burnley but it was a game which showed they can compete with the best.

Tottenham will be looking to cement there spot in the top four over the next couple of months and if they are to do that, they’re going to have to win games like these otherwise the pressure will soon pile on. The 3-0 win over Dortmund last week and progressing to the next round of the Champions League would have filled them with confidence coming into this one.

Burnley have gone seven games without defeat but we can see that coming to an end this weekend with an inform Spurs side in town.

  • Correct score prediction: Burnley 1 – 3 Tottenham
  • Odds: 16/1

Bournemouth v Wolves

Kick-off: Week 27, Saturday 23rd February, 15:00

Bournemouth have lost their last two on the bounce and three out of there last five coming into this match which doesn’t make good reading for the Cherries fans. However, with just six points separating these two teams and the fight for 7th still very much on between a number of teams, Bournemouth will be desperate to get at least a point from this one.

Wolves are the side currently in 7th place, two points ahead of Watford with just eleven games to go. With this being just the first season back in the top flight for the club, it has been a very impressive season and one they will do very well to top in years to come. With some big names in the side and as they’re all in form, they’re a very tough side to beat.

Bournemouth will fancy themselves being the home side but with the current form they are in, it’s hard to back them. Wolves on the other hand have been winning all sorts of games this season and we think they’ll add to that on Saturday.

  • Correct score prediction: Bournemouth 1 – 2 Wolves
  • Odds: 18/1

Newcastle v Huddersfield

Kick-off: Week 27, Saturday 23rd February, 15:00

What a huge game this is at the bottom of the Premier League as Newcastle look to extend the gap between them and the bottom three but Huddersfield look to close the gap on the other sides. With Toon just a single points above the relegation zone, they will know this is a massive game in there season and if they can win it, they’re giving themselves a good chance.

It’s hard to see Huddersfield getting out of the situation they are currently in with just eleven points to their name and the sides out the bottom three on 24 points. They will have to double and more what they have already earned which to anyway will seem unrealistic. They will just want to play with pride now and go down fighting and this is a perfect chance to show that.

Newcastle will be desperate to get maximum points from this one to increase there chances of staying in the Premier League. Huddersfield will still be holding onto the hope they can get out of this situation so will still give everything in the match.

  • Correct score prediction: Newcastle 1 – 0 Huddersfield
  • Odds: 7/1

Leicester v Crystal Palace

Kick-off: Week 27, Saturday 23rd February, 17:30

Leicester have been very hit and miss this season, winning away to the likes of Manchester City and Chelsea, but then dropping points to the lesser sides. As it stands, they are without a Premier League win in five games which is really not good enough. A top half finish will be the target for Claude Puel and his men now which could be a tough ask.

Crystal Palace are on of a number of sides who are still fighting to get away from the bottom three with Palace just three points above. When you look at the squad on paper, you would think this side would be higher up the table and under no pressure, but they keep dropping points you’d expect them to win which is the biggest downfall.

With Leicester having very little to play for now this season, they may be taking their foot off the gas slightly which has shown in recent weeks. Crystal Palace still have everything to play for and will give everything in this one which is why we think they’ll get the win.

  • Correct score prediction: Leicester 0 – 1 Crystal Palace
  • Odds: 8/1

Arsenal v Southampton

Kick-off: Week 27, Sunday 24th February, 14:05

Arsenal have won three Premier League games out of four coming into this game which has seen them climb to 5th, just one point behind Manchester United in the Champions League places. They will be looking for a big of revenge in this one after Southampton ended there 22 game streak without a defeat earlier on in the campaign.

Southampton will know they have the quality to be able to compete with the best teams in the league but in recent times they have struggled to show that to often which has seen them slip right down the table and currently in the bottom three. The Saints will need to be at their absolute best if they are to get anything from this one.

Arsenal will not want to make any mistakes in this one as they look to get back into the top four and clinch Champions League football next season. Southampton have everything to play for at the bottom of the league but will be up against it.

  • Correct score prediction: Arsenal 3 – 0 Southampton
  • Odds: 18/1

Manchester United v Liverpool

Kick-off: Week 27, Sunday 24th February, 15:00

What a game this is to round off the Premier League gameweek. Manchester United look a different team since the appointment of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and have come from 11 points adrift to get into the top four which is an outstanding achievement, especially if they can hold on until the end of the campaign. The likes of Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford have enjoyed the new manager in charge and are the players to watch.

Liverpool are still sitting happy on top of the Premier League but will need to win this you’d think if they are going to keep the advantage. A couple of months ago they would have fancied themselves massively in this one but the rise in United would have made this fixture look a lot more daunting for the players. If Mo Salah and Sadio Mane turn up, they have every chance of winning this one.

Both sides will be looking at this one and fancying themselves to bag all three points and in all honesty, we’re finding this one a very tough game to call and because of that, we’re going for a score draw.

  • Correct score prediction: Manchester United 2 – 2 Liverpool
  • Odds: 20/1
