Tottenham vs Newcastle

Kick-off: Week 25, Saturday 2nd February, 12:30

Tottenham will be feeling a lot better about themselves coming into this one having come from behind to see off an inform Watford side at Wembley during the week. This put an end to a run of games which Pochettino and his men will not be sad to see the back off. They were dumped out of 2 cups in a week which has made another trophyless season look likely for the club.

Newcastle will also be full of confidence coming into this one after beating Manchester City last time out which didn’t only make City’s title defence look a tougher task, but moved Newcastle away from the bottom three which will be the clubs main aim this season. Salomon Rondon looks as if he is starting to hit some form which is a huge bonus for Toon.

Although Newcastle come into this one having beat City, they will do very well to do the same again this weekend against a Spurs team looking the cement themselves in the top four.

  • Correct score prediction: Tottenham 2 – 0 Newcastle
  • Odds: 8/1

Brighton vs Watford

Kick-off: Week 25, Saturday 2nd February, 15:00

Brighton started extremely well in their last encounter away to Fulham, quickly getting into a two goal lead. However, the second half they fell asleep and it showed with the hosts on the day going on to score four and win the match. Brighton haven’t had the best of seasons and will not yet feel they are safe from a relegation scrap, although it looks unlikely.

Watford would have been left very frustrated at the fact they let a one goal lead slip in the last ten minutes of the match away to Tottenham during the week. However, they can take many positives from the game and still have a change of bagging European football next season. If they are to get there, they must win games like these.

We can see this being a low scoring and close encounter between two solid sides. Brighton tend to play better at home and wherever Watford go they will give teams a hard time.

  • Correct score prediction: Brighton 0 – 1 Watford
  • Odds: 6/1

Burnley vs Southampton

Kick-off: Week 25, Saturday 2nd February, 15:00

Burnley are another side who would have been frustrated after throwing away a two goal lead in the dying moments of their match with Manchester United away from home. They showed glimpses of there form last season in the match but slumped back to recent ways in the second half which is a worrying side for Sean Dyche.

Southampton are still yet to be beaten in 2019 in the Premier League which has seen them climb from inside the bottom three to four points clear. They have been performing a lot better since the new manager came in and players who had dips in form under past managers are coming back to life which could help lift Southampton backup the table in seasons to come.

Although Burnley put on a good performance on the weekend, they have been pretty poor of late and with a side like Southampton who are inform and confident, we think they could struggle.

  • Correct score prediction: Burnley 0 – 1 Southampton
  • Odds: 9/1

Chelsea vs Huddersfield

Kick-off: Week 25, Saturday 2nd February, 15:00

It’s hard to put into words what happened to Chelsea last time out as they were smashed 4-0 to Bournemouth on Wednesday night. It was the Premier League debut for Gonzalo Higuain and one to forget for the Argentinian. Sarri is now becoming under pressure in his role at Stamford bridge and must win this one otherwise you’d have to think his time is nearly over after slipping out the top four.

Huddersfield are dead bottom of the Premier League and a massive 13 points from safety. It’s starting to look impossible for them to stay in the league but when the pressure is off, it’s funny what can happen to sides. They will be up against it in this one but it’s a good time to play Chelsea with them really struggling to pick up regular and consistent points.

Although Chelsea are going through a bad patch, we can’t see them dropping points in this one. Huddersfield have looked way short of quality in many games this season and we can’t see this one being any different/

  • Correct score prediction: Chelsea 2 – 0 Huddersfield
  • Odds: 7/1

Crystal Palace vs Fulham

Kick-off: Week 25, Saturday 2nd February, 15:00

Crystal Palace were leading for much of the match away to Southampton but conceded in the last 20 minutes to settle for a draw. They also saw there main man, Wilfried Zaha get sent off in the dying moment which could turn out to be a huge miss for the side going into this one and games to come. This is another huge game in their season if they are to survive the drop.

Fulham managed to get there first win in a very long time after coming from 2-0 down to beat Brighton 4-2. A massive moment for the side which could prove vital in there bid for survival over the next few months. If they are to stay in the league they have got to win games against sides around them in the league and this is exactly one of those occasions.

We can see this one being a very close and edgy encounter between two sides who are still in a lot of danger of going down. A score draw looks a very likely outcome in our opinion.

  • Correct score prediction: Crystal Palace 1 – 1 Fulham
  • Odds: 8/1

Everton vs Wolves

Kick-off: Week 25, Saturday 2nd February, 15:00

Everton have been going through a very tough period of late but have managed to put two wins together in there last three Premier League games. Although they didn’t look very convincing last time out against Huddersfield, they were still able to get the job done which could give them the much needed boost they have needed.

Wolves have had an incredible season for a newly promoted club and currently sit in 7th, which could be enough for European football if they are able to stick there until the end of the season. They have won two on the bounce coming into this one, scoring an impressive 7 goals in the time showing what a good team they have put together at the club.

It’s hard to back against Wolves at the moment with the form they are in and the confidence they are playing with. It’s also tough to back Everton who have been very hot and cold all season.

  • Correct score prediction: Everton 1 – 2 Wolves
  • Odds: 12/1

Cardiff vs Bournemouth

Kick-off: Week 25, Saturday 2nd February, 17:30

Cardiff made it a tough evening for Arsenal last time out, losing out narrowly 2-1 to the Gunners away from home. Emotions will still be high at the club after new signing Sala went missing in the tragic story over a week ago now. Survival will be the only goal for the side this season and having slipped four points from safety, they need to pick up points and quickly.

Bournemouth come into this one off the back of there best result of the season, beating Chelsea 4-0 at home which has seen them climb back up to 10th after beating West Ham last weekend as well. The amount The Cherries concede is what’s stopping them being higher in the league but they are starting to resolve those problems.

Cardiff have picked up some very crucial points at home this season and with the fans fully behind them, we can see them getting another massive win in this one.

  • Correct score prediction: Cardiff 1 – 0 Bournemouth
  • Odds: 8/1

Leicester vs Manchester United

Kick-off: Week 25, Sunday 3rd February, 14:05

Leicester will be in Manchester City’s good books after holding Liverpool away from home last time out which made them the first side outside the top six to take points off the league leaders. Leicester have been performing a lot better against the bigger teams this season and we expect them to give Manchester United a run for there money in this one yet again.

Manchester United were 11 points adrift of the top four when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over at Old Trafford a couple of months ago but are now just two points away and with still a long way to go this season, they will feel they have a very good chance of breaking into it against all the odds. If they do, surely Ole will become the next permanent manager at the club.

Yes, Leicester have impressed against the big sides but Manchester United are looking a different squad at the moment and although they slipped up last time out at home to Burnley, they will be looking to bounce back quickly in this one.

  • Correct score prediction: Leicester 1 – 2 Manchester United
  • Odds: 11/1

Manchester City vs Arsenal

Kick-off: Week 25, Sunday 3rd February, 16:00

Manchester City would have been left gutted having lost to Newcastle during the week and then see Liverpool drop points at home to Leicester which could have closed the gap to just two points. However, they will feel grateful that the gap is still only five points rather than seven which is still catchable if they win games like these from now until the end of the season.

Arsenal have broken back into the top four after Chelsea’s shock defeat to Bournemouth during the week and will be keen to stay there but if they are to do so, you’d think they have to win this one which will be a very tough ask. It’s been a hit and miss season for the side who went 22 games unbeaten but were only able to climb to a highest position of 4th in that time.

Manchester City can’t make any more mistakes this season and we don’t think they will, especially in this game. At times this season, they have looked a bit slack which will not go down with Pep Guardiola.

  • Correct score prediction: Manchester City 3 – 1 Arsenal
  • Odds: 16/1

West Ham vs Liverpool

Kick-off: Week 25, Monday 4th February, 20:00

West Ham have lost two on the bounce coming into this one, losing 2-0 to Bournemouth before being thumped 3-0 to Wolves last time out. It’s not the first time West Ham have been through a bad patch this season and we’re sure it won’t be the last. However, they always seem to bounce back and do it when not expected which is why we think they have potential to cause an upset in this one.

Liverpool would have been gutted not to have made the gap 7 points between them and Manchester City at home to Leicester on Wednesday night, but will still know 5 points is a big gap and one they want to keep. Let’s not forget this is a team who have lost once all season so will be hard to beat, but after a draw at home the Leicester they may have got a bit of doubt in their minds.

West Ham fans live for the big occasions and big matches and this is one of them as they could potentially put a wound in Liverpool in the title race and for some reason, we have a feeling they’ll do it.

  • Correct score prediction: West Ham 1 – 1 Liverpool
  • Odds: 10/1
